Meet Tracey Heggins New Face Fridays

Tracey Heggins plays Senna of the Amazon coven in Breaking Dawn Part 2. The Twilight fan sites had a chance to chat with her about her new role.

Tracey: Hi! How are you guys? Great! I am excited to talk to you guys!

Q: We just saw the posters of you and Zafrina. The other actors have talked about what they first thought when they saw themselves. What was your first reaction when you saw the hair and the make up, and the outfit and the eyes?

Tracey: Roar! (sound) That is exactly what I thought! Whoa! This has an earthy, sexy quality to it, so I was all for it. It’s very exciting!

Q: Speaking of what you look like… You are baring a lot in your outfit. I’m wondering if you had to diet or work out? What was your regiment? Tracey: Yeah! I have to work out. I’m a hippy girl… I have hips and curves. Literally, when I had the fitting, I had a King Size Snicker bar in my purse. After I had seen the outfit, on my way out, I dropped it into the trash can. (Laughing) I was, like, Oh, no, no, no, no! But yeah, I do a lot of yoga. And, on set it was easy to be disciplined because Kellan Lutz is up there working out all day long, and the rest of them were fighting to get to the gym before shoot time. So, you know, it was a lot of camaraderie at the gym because we were all on camera.

Last week we also interviewed Tracey’s fellow coven member Judi Shekoni who plays Zafrina.

Stephenie Meyer Q&A in EW

Robert Pattenson Life has more stills from the EW issue that will be out tomorrow.  Their stills feature a Q&A quick interview with Stephenie Meyer where she talks a little about The Host, the Twilight phenomenon, and the name Renesmee.

“I would never name a real child Renesmee.  But in fantasy, you can name your characters anything you want.  I couldn’t have named [Bella and Edward’s] child Lindsay.  I couldn’t have named her anything that already exists-it would have felt wrong.  I had to pick a name that I felt was completely and totally unique, which opens you up to heckling.  Which I’ve taken.  I take all my heckling, and I totally get it!”

Rob Pattinson to Appear on Daily Show

Everyone has been talking about Rob’s upcoming appearance on Good Morning America, which will air live on Wednesday Aug 15.  But according to The Gossip Cop,  the first interview that Rob will offer post “the big split” will be on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday Aug. 13.

The story also points out that these interviews were booked months ago and that they are to promote Rob’s movie Cosmopolis.  Given how private Rob has always been about his personal life, and that we’ve actually seen him walk out on interviews that have refused to sway from they Robsten questions, we’re betting that there won’t be much discussion about his personal life in these interviews either.

EW: The Robsten Split, Chuckesmee, and the Different Ending of Breaking Dawn 2

Spunk Ransom has stills of the entire Entertainment Weekly article that will hit news stands tomorrow.  Of course the article touches on the drama that has unfolded around the confirmation that Kristen Stewart had an affair with her SWATH director, but it should be noted that this particular interview took place a week before that news store broke.  Still, Kristen is quoted at the end of the article about how it’s difficult for her to be anyone but herself.

“People tell me to go easier on myself and play a character when I go out on carpets and stuff,” Stewart said.  “But you know what?  I’d rather be me.”

There is also some information on how the movie makers were able to age Renesmee through CG after the three foot tall life-like doll christened “Chuckesmee” failed to be anything but creepy.  Director Bill Condon, who said, “it was one of the most grotesque things I’ve ever seen,” promised that no footage of Chuckesmee will appear in the final film but will be available on the DVD.

But the biggest spoiler in the article is the confirmation that the ending of Breaking Dawn Part 2 will in fact stray from the book.  Here is what the article states:

Even devoted readers of the Stephenie Meyer books are in for a pretty big shock in the final third of the film, when the plot strays from the last novel in a sequence dreamed up by Meyer and longtime screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg one night over dinner.  “When I first read the script, I got  to that part and was like, ‘What?‘” Pattinson says.  “And then I had to go back a page.”

Read the whole story and see all the images at Spunk Ransom and leave us a comment on how you think this “new ending” is going to play out.  Does it upset you?  Are you excited and ready to be surprised?

Frances Fisher Surprised By The Host Fanbase

E! chatted with Frances Fisher who plays Maggie in The Host.

“I have no idea what people’s sensibilities are, but Stephenie Meyer has a finger on a pulse of the youth of this country, of the world actually,” Frances Fisher, who plays Saoirse Ronan’s character’s aunt Maggie in the movie, told us.

“When I started tweeting that I was doing this I was getting responses from France, South America and Russia,” she said of the film’s hype. “There’s so many people already who are aware of The Host.”

Post Twilight Tinsel Korey Concentrates on Her Music

According to her press release:

Twilight saga actress and singer/songwriter Tinsel Korey is set to release her new EP “Seize the Day” on August 30, 2012. Tinsel has been developing her musical talent from a very young age and the release of this EP will be the result of several years of work. Recorded at the famous WAX studios in Washington, the Indie-Folk Rock EP will consist of five news songs, in addition to Tinsel’s previously recorded single, “Letter,” which will be available on iTunes and Amazon.com, in addition to other major online outlets. A labor of love, each track was written by Tinsel herself, and produced by Brian Blake.

The title track “Seize the Day” is the pivotal song on the EP. The idea for the song came up when Tinsel created her “Wolf Girl Boot Camp,” an appealing and exciting way for her to get healthy along with her fans. Tinsel shares, “I wanted something positive, an upbeat message to myself and anyone on the same path to never give up, and to live life to the fullest. To not let fears dictate how grand to live life. I think I’m on a journey of transition, of learning, of growing, of living in the moment. It’s mirrored in the tone and direction of the entire EP. The song is the catalyst for everything else on the album.”

Tinsel’s songs are not solely centered on stories of relationships and love, but on emotional elements that make up the situation in one’s life. They are about the recognition of growth in oneself. She shares, “They’re all very reflective. They center on learning to love, whether it be oneself or another person and growing from the trials and tribulations that come with the territory.” “I Surrender” is another key song on the EP as it describes the challenge of not wanting to give into fear. She adds, “The song is about ultimately knowing that if you don’t change, you could be losing out on something that could have been amazing. Most of my songs are inspired by a relationship, and they are a way for me to look at what was going on in that moment, from an outside perspective, and figure out how I wanted to move forward.”

Tinsel also did a recent interview with Ology

How does it feel now that the production on the series is wrapped?

TINSEL KOREY: It’s bittersweet. You’re sad that this huge chapter in your life is coming to an end, but you’re excited about the new possibilities that are out there. Like the wolf pack and I are family. I had this moment when I was like, ‘Are we still going to be friends after this is over?’ But I feel like we’re so bonded by it that we will remain family. It’s bittersweet.

Would you be open to doing another film series?

Of course! Absolutely. If they put me on Hunger Games I’d be happy. [Laughs]

What was your favorite book in the Twilight Saga series?

I would probably say New Moon. I’ve heard a lot the Twilight cast from the first movie say that was theirs. I think also because that holds a dear place in your heart because it’s the beginning point of your role in the franchise. So I think New Moon was definitely my favorite book.

What was it like auditioning for the role of Emily? Did you audition opposite any of the werewolves?

No, it’s funny because the other boys apparently had a really long process! I had one audition and that was it. And they shortlisted me for that part and I booked the role. So I had no idea who else was cast when I got this opportunity.

Breaking Dawn on EW’s Fall Movie Preview Cover

Breaking Dawn is on the cover of this week’s EW. Bill Condon is quoted in a preview of what is to come in the issue:

“The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Bill Condon tells EW. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

Check out EW and grab the issue this Friday on newsstands.

From our standpoint: Bravo, Mr. Condon, bravo. We are looking forward to the final chapter in a film we have been covering since 2008 and a book series we have been covering since 2006 when people said “What’s Twilight?” and “Stephenie who?” We can’t wait to see the final installment from actors, production team, and everyone who has given years to this.

Comic Con For Twilight Fans in 2013

We know of so many Twilight fans who have experienced Comic Con and are intending to go back again. Despite the media stupidity in thinking Twilight fans like only Twilight, we know that we have seen fellow fans at Game of Throne, Doctor Who, The Hobbit, Fringe, The Walking Dead, Firefly, Once Upon a Time panels…just to name a few. In any case, next summer there probably won’t be a Twilight presence, but there will likely be two franchises there that Twilight fans are into: The Hunger Games and The Mortal Instruments. Here’s the scoop on the tickets that went on sale this weekend and upcoming sales in 2013.

Many are confused about the badge registration process, so let us try to explain it, simply. The registration process is split into two phases, as it has been in subsequent years. The first phase is called the pre-registration, and is for people who attended the current year’s convention, which is what was held this past Saturday. The second phase is the open registration , which is registration to the general public, and will be held sometime early 2013. Generally pre-registration is held on-site during the con, but after last year’s mammoth lines, CCI opted for an online-only sale for 2012 attendees, with some additional restrictions on how many badges they could purchase and for whom.
