Music As Important As Ever For Robert Pattinson

Rob has said more than once in interviews how much music means to him. He’s even talked jokingly about music being a back-up plan if acting didn’t work out.

According to People magazine, Rob recent stopped by the after party of the Juno Awards, Canada’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards, that took place at Vancouver’s Velvet Room inside the Opus Hotel.

Rob’s also been a huge supporter of his friends’, Sam Bradley and Bobby Long, musical careers. Both are currently touring the US and Canada. In fact some fans ran into Rob and Sam the other night. If you want to catch Sam in a live performance, he is slated to appear at in the near future in Vancouver. See Sam’s MySpace for details.

Kristen Stewart: Still Not Tweeting

Even when it’s not April Fool’s Day, it’s amazing what people get duped into. The latest rash is people thinking the Twilight cast is Tweeting the happenings on the New Moon set on Twitter.  MTV talked to Kristen Stewart’s reps about Kristen’s supposed Twitter addiction where she talks about costume fittings in Italy:

“She does not Twitter or Facebook or anything,” was the response we got from reps for the real KStew when we approached them. “[And] they haven’t even gone to Italy yet.”

While we are at it, Stephenie Meyer does not have a Twitter or Facebook either.

How do you know if a Twitter is real? Check out the artist’s website, if they have one for fans, it will be listed. If they have a personal Twitter (not meant for fans), chances are their updates are locked because it would more or less be career suicide to be complaining about current colleagues openly on Twitter.

Jackson Rathbone Warms Up

Jackson Rathbone and the cast of M. Knight Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender have thawed out from their two week filming stint in Greenland. They are now back in Pennsylvania where they will be filming in the Reading area (notably the pagoda near Mount Penn) before returning to Philly where Shyamalan prefers to shoot many of his films.

According to town officials:

“They needed buildings to shoot all the interiors,” Shupp said. “They were looking for a group of buildings with high ceilings and specific column spacing. We showed them a number of buildings, but we couldn’t come up with enough to meet their requirements. So the interiors will be shot in Philadelphia (where Shyamalan is based).”

Jackson will be hopping between the New Moon and Last Airbender sets as he is needed for filming. If you need your Jackson fix, look for Jackson on April 8th on criminal Minds on CBS.

Ted Casablanca: Multiple Personality Disorder

Ted Casablanca can’t seem to decide if he is pro or con Twilight and pro or con cast members depending on the day of the week. Ted was the one last week claiming that Rob had BO because an oh so credible source told him so. Today he is still clinging to that contention. Frankly we think the only thing in need of fumigation is Ted’s brain because clearly it isn’t able to handle the obvious (see below).

Now, in today’s ramblings, it looks like Ted had too much coffee or something because the graphic that accompanies the story is hilarious. For crying out loud Ted, it has a TURKEY in the upper right corner! Not only is Ted running the fan made New Moon poster as if it’s the real one, but he’s also given credit for the image to Summit Entertainment, as if to suggest he actually got the image from them. We can guarantee that he didn’t get the image from Summit. From Ted’s ramblings of today, it’s plain that he doesn’t think very much of Twilight fans’ intelligence. Oh, the irony!

Our New Look

So after months of design and coding work we have a new look. We can’t say thank you enough to the following people:

The design team
Leslie
Justin
Shelley

These guys helped us out with everything from table banners, to stationary, to manipulating our old artwork into the current design.

The tech guys

Joan
George
Larry

Seriously, without them this would be no place fast. Their knowledge has helped us with everything from faster load time, improved security, to implementation.

The Inhouse Tech Guy

24601 (Pel’s long suffering husband)

Kevin, without you giving us endless hours from cutting short a family reunion weekend on Cape Cod to many, many late nights spent explaining the “geek speak” to the admin team, you’ve made this work!

So, a round of applause for them please!

Auctions!

There are a couple of Twilight and/or Stephenie Meyer related auctions coming up.

There is a hand-signed Twilight poster from the entire cast on eBay as a charity auction benefiting the Webster Elementary School. CLICK HERE

If you can’t be at the Save the Book Babe event this weekend, you can bid on merchandise right from your home.  According to the site organizers:

“Since there are so many items that have been donated they will be auctioned in groups of about ten at a time, every Monday and Thursday after 6 pm MST. We are using ebay and the active auction items will be listed in the sidebar on this website. Items will be listed for one week! Check back each Monday and Thursday for new items.”

Now aside from Pel bidding on a Prom Dress (have we mentioned the prom dress?) they have added a new item to the onsite auction.  Items that belong to Stephenie that are going up for live bid that day are:

Forever Dawn Epilogue

The Host Manuscript

Eclipse Manuscript

Twilight Arc

Lunch with Stephenie

And now a Host Themed Skateboard:

According to Stephenie’s site:

“Hobo Skate Co. established early in 2009 by Jared Hancock and Chad Swensen is a premier skateboard and apparel company that donates 5% of all revenue to the Hobo Foundation. This foundation provides financial and other resources to the homeless. You can find them at www.hoboskateco.com.”

Alex Meraz

Celebuzz has a feature on Alex Meraz who will be playing Paul in New Moon. Alex friend Raoul Trujillo talks about the rising star.

“Nabbing the key role in Twilight was no fluke for the young actor. “If there’s anyone I have known in my life that deserves this, it’s Alex,” says Trujillo. “He’s worked his ass off in the time I have known him. He never lets up.”

Beyond staying in top physical shape, the actor-student works hard on honing his craft, including his New Moon audition. “Alex drove from Phoenix to my ranch in New Mexico on his birthday weekend so I could help him with his audition,” says Trujillo. “It’s about 8 hours each way. But he knew he needed to get this done.”

“He’s humble,” says Trujillo. “And he always showed that he was willing to listen and learn.”

New Moon Actor Appearances

Some of the cast, still no clues which ones yet, are going to be at ShoWest in Las Vegas. They are going to be on hand to receive an award from Fandango.

Don’t worry, MTV’s Larry Carrol is there to cover it. You can see how excited he is to have found the New Moon poster (again a stand-by for now until they shoot the real poster this summer). By the sound of his blog he’s a little lonley. Give Larry a shout out if you are there.

Peter Facinelli is going to be appearing at London Film and Comic Con on July 18th and July 19th.

The event is going to be taking place at the Earls Court Exposition Center.

Kristen Stewart Talks About Fan Recepetion

Kristen Stewart talks to USA Today about her movie Adventureland and what it’s been like living under the Twilight microscope this past year:

On her awkwardness in interviews:

Really, I’m incredibly disjointed and not candid,” she says. “Just in general, my thoughts tend to come out in little spurts that don’t necessarily connect. If you hang around long enough, you can find, like, the linear path. But it will take a second. That’s why these interviews never go well for me.”

On fans:

“More than three girls of that certain age — run away,” she says, laughing as the threat settles in a distant part of the patio. “Girls are scary. Large groups of girls scare the (crap) out of me.”

She says Pattinson gets it worse. “They covet him. I think half of them are so jealous that they hate me,” she jokes.

Twilight Music News

Rob Pattinson’s buddies Bobby Long and Sam Bradley who have jammed with Rob at various clubs in the UK are both tying to expand to a wider audience. Who knows, maybe even the New Moon Soundtrack?

Sam, co-author of Never Think, gave an interview to The Examiner. Sam also has a couple of upcoming club dates in the US and Canada.

Bobby’s Left To Lie is now on ITunes, and he’s got a packed schedule in clubs across America.
