Carolina Herrera Talks Behind the Scenes on the Wedding Dress With Glamour UK

Carolina Herrera talked to Glamour UK about being involved with the Bella’s Wedding Gown.

For months we were help in suspense waiting to find out what the Twilight wedding dress would look like – and we’ve finally seen the dress, and can now even buy the Alfred Angelo replica. But what was it like to land the coveted role of designing The Dress? And what was it like working with Kristen Stewart?

“In the initial fitting when Kristen put the dress on and looked in the mirror, she was very moved,” Carolina Herrera told Vogue in an interview. “In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film, she was a bride, and a happy one at that.  It is always very important to make the bride happy, of course, and in this case I was delighted to do so.  It was a very special moment for both Kristen and the character of Bella to share.”

Most women will probably opt to get the more affordable version from Alfred Angelo, but you can get the upscale version (over $10,000) from Herrera.

Stephenie Meyer Talks Host Sequels and Why Saoirse Ronan is Perfect as Melanie

Pages to Premiere and Twilight Moms got Stephenie Meyer to discuss The Host during the Breaking Dawn Premiere. and for everyone’s benefit (because we’re going to be saying it a lot) According to the IMDB “Although in traditional Irish, the name Saoirse would be pronounced “seer-sha”, she says it as “sur-shuh”.”

On the Breaking Dawn Set: A Glimpse of Life as an Extra

Many people talk about how they would have wanted to be on the set of Breaking Dawn. Here are the glamorous and not so glamorous details for a movie extra.

Working on any movie is a lot like camping, but being an extra in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, with its secret remote location and total ban on electronic devices, made us feel like inmates in a prison camp.

As guests at the biggest vampire wedding in film history, we were bussed from West Vancouver to Squamish and offloaded at the base camp, or “circus,” which snaked down an easement in the forest. After wardrobe, hair and makeup, we passed through “checkpoint charlie” metal detectors, then rode in vans to the extras “holding” tents where we sat for hours eating junk food.

On a couple of nights, one of the producers came to warn us about their security team, including frogmen on the river, to prevent anyone from photographing the set. We must not inform anyone of the set’s location and must report any coercion, he said. And no speaking to the actors, no matter what. We were among the “fortunate few” to be chosen, he reminded us, but our participation depends on our compliance with security. Have a nice evening.

You won’t see me in that night’s scene, where the happy couple exit the reception, since I was practically standing in the forest. Nor was I visible in the next day’s wedding ceremony, when I was placed so far from the aisle as to need binoculars.

We sat in the wedding set for two days, on logs that seemed to grow into benches under a canopy of wisteria. A quick shot to rise and turn toward to the bride, then more waiting and shivering. And was that thunder or an avalanche in the distance?

Breaking Dawn DVD Cover and Some Details Revealed

It’s still really early to be talking DVD, and these things and definitely change (remember Chris Weitz wanting to do DVD commentary with Rob and Kristen and their shooting schedules on other films not working out the way they planned). The DVD has no release date scheduled as of yet. If Summit follows the previous November released Twilight Saga movies pattern, the DVD would appear in mid March. Keep in mind this is just speculation on our part.

Looking For Twilight Trailer Music: Here’s Where to Find It

Regular Lexicon reader Josh just wrote in to share the following information with us.

I just wanted to let you know, that I recently picked up the new album from “Two Steps from Hell” and found that they included the track used in the Breaking Dawn trailer aptly named, “Love and Loss” on their album. There is also the track, “Mercy in Darkness” of which was used in the original Twilight trailer.

Two Steps from Hell creates trailer music, and some of their more fantastic pieces include “Freedom Fighters” of which was used in the new Star Trek trailer…

The album that contains the Twilight related material is, “Archangel”. It was just released this year.

TY to Josh for writing in, and you can find the album/songs on ITunes.

EDITED: Just wanted to bring up to the top a comment from one of our posters named Emily:

Emily says:

Thanks for posting this! It’s well worth mentioning because so many people will be interested to know what music is used on the trailers. Movie trailers are generally released before the film score has been recorded so they resort to using library or stock music. Two Steps from Hell have had their music used in every Twilight trailer so far:
Twilight – Dreams and Imaginations – Mercy In Darkness
New Moon – Volume 1 – Moving Mountains
Eclipse – Legends – Calamity (Remix)
Breaking Dawn – Dynasty – Love & Loss / Legends – Infinite Legends
