Robert Pattinson and Summit Team Up Again

According to Screen Daily, Robert Pattinson has signed on board with another Summit project that is slated to be shot in New York City just prior to Eclispe.

“Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including two new Summit productions – a romantic drama starring Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson and a generational love story set in Italy starring Amanda Seyfried.”

The Pattinson Anonymous site has some additional insight into the script. Check out their report here.

Twilight Saga: Dollars and Common Sense

It’s no secret that there’s a big cash pay-out when it comes to Twilight. Everyone from Hot Topic, to Borders, to Wal-mart is cashing in.

According to marketing shift:

“Since the premier episode of Trueblood and the premier of Twilight, vampires have replaced pirates as the “in” movie or TV characters.”

Now according to Wales Online, Michael Sheen is getting a 5 million pound payout. That’s roughly around 9 million American dollars.

We are wondering how true that is as actors’ contracts are usually very hush-hush, Rob is currently driving what could politely be termed a “fixer-upper” car, and he reportedly scoffed to the BBC about the reported figure that he is receiving for New Moon stating:

“I read some gossip thing saying, because I looked really uncomfortable in a paparazzi photo or something, they’re like, ‘He should get used to it. That’s the price to pay if you’re getting $12m (£8.1m) a movie’. If I’m getting paid $12m a movie I’d walk around naked. That’s all nonsense. I don’t know who makes that stuff up. Even the price for the first one was nonsense.”

Robert Pattinson: OK’s Most Elligible Man

Robert Pattison haas been named “Most Elligible Man” by the UK based OK Magazine.

Others on the list in the runner up positions include Slumdog Millionaire break-out star Dev Patel (currently co-starring with Jackson Rathbone in the Last Airbender), Jamie Foxx, and Chace Crawford.

Hugh Jackman Gives Thumbs Up To Rob’s Singing

In Italy to promote his upcoming film, High Jackman was asked by what he thought of Robert Pattinson’s singing the night they met in Japan. For those of you who don’t remember, right after the Oscars Rob, Kristen, and Taylor went to Japan for the Twilight movie release there. Hugh Jackman, who was there at the same time for the Australia movie release, was staying at their hotel and they all ended up doing Karaoke in the bar (oh to have been a fly on that wall).

Here’s a video from the local Italian TV station (warning it takes forever to buffer) and the transcript over at Robsessed

Robert Pattinson’s Music Roots Run Deep

It seems like you can’t turn around lately without hearing something else about Robert Pattinson, his taste in music, his fellow musician friends from the UK, and his music ambitions. Here’s the latest run down:

It seems that Robert gave an interview to a Czech publication where he states he likes the group Tokio Hotel, and wouldn’t mind seeing them on the soundtrack.

The LA Times ponders if Rob’s ambitions extend to Grammy or Oscar dreams.

The Examiner has dubbed Rob’s group of musician friends: Bobby Long (pictured left via EW), Marcus Foster, Sam Bradley ‘The Brit Pack”. Let Me Sign, sung by Rob in the Twilight movie was co-written by Bobby and Marcus. Rob also performs Never Think written by Sam Bradley in the Twilight movie. Entertainment Weekly just did a big article on Bobby Long who just played to a packed crowd in New York last night.

Now they certainly owe their exposure to Rob singing their material in a blockbuster movie, but the person who was actually instrumental in getting this all to happen in the first place was the seldom mentioned Nikki Reed. If Nikki hadn’t shown Catherine Hardwicke Rob’s music, and Catherine hadn’t insisted that it be put on the soundtrack, probably none of this new found exposure would be happening to the degree it is.

Kristen Stewart Celebrates With the Cast

It seems like Kristen had a much better time at her birthday this year than last year. Last year she got a cake and was treated to a late night filming since she was no longer a minor, she could now work late nights and extended hours.

This year, Kristen and cast members celebrated at Chill Winston, whose site at least has non-annoying and quick-loading flash if you want to check out their menu.

The cast waved to passers-by and signed a few authographs. Even though he’s unidentified in the photo, we’d swear that it’s Sam Bradley in the backseat of rob’s Taxi. Sam’s playing a bunch of gigs in the Vancouver area.

Robert Pattison:So Much Coverage, So Little Time

MTV just about turned over their entire website to Rob yesterday.

First they had the outtakes of his sizzling photoshoot with Dosier.

Then they had an accent expert analyzing his Spanish accent in Little Ashes. The expert seemed to think it was pretty legit. Only the real Castellanos can tell us if he actually nailed the right dialect.

According to their expert, “There is one thing he did that really struck me, and it is something he does as an Englishman well, I say, for example, ‘I am going “ta” the store.’ Like Americans, we don’t say ‘to,’ we say ‘ta.’ And in one little clip, he says [‘I need to go further’] without the ‘ta.’ People who learn English as a second language learn it properly, and a little word like ‘to’ is a hard thing for them not to say properly. So [someone like Salvador Dalí] would say, ‘I am going “to” the store.’ It’s a hard thing for them to break.”

Now if a throwdown is what you are up for, there is the never ending Edward vs. Buffy (et. al.) debate.
