Open Casting Call For Eclipse

Summit has announced that they will be having an open casting call for the roles of Leah and Seth Clearwater in Eclipse. This is a legit announcement, direct from Summit not a scam. It should also be noted that it’s not a contest, but what is known in the industry as an “open casting call” so professionalism (meaning doing a legit audition and following instructions to the letter) counts!

NOTE THE FINE PRINT: “Submissions must be received by June 30th. You must be a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada and fourteen (14) years of age or older to submit an audition. Please stick to the script provided and do not post your audition video to any other site.”…In other words don’t put it up on YouTube or you automatically disqualify yourself.

All the details can be found here.

Robert Pattinson in Metro Canada

Metro Canada wraps up their New Moon series with an interview with Robert Pattinson. Predicably, Rob’s life has changed a bit.

Are there differences in your preparation to play Edward?

I feel very familiar with the character. I’m a ghost, a figment of Bella’s imagination. I’m not really playing Edward. I’m playing a kind of disrupted memory, which is really strange. I’m trying to play him as if Edward’s constantly thinking that things are going to fall apart. It’s this idyllic relationship on the top. I’m very, very close to the surface. He’s so insecure about everything.”

100 Monkeys Meet the Band

This weekend 100 Monkeys has added a special CD signing gig at a Barnes and Noble in Allentown PA.  According to the area paper Leighigh Valley:

“[The band]… will have a CD signing Sunday at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, then perform 8 p.m. at Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown.

The CD signing is set for 2 to 4 p.m. at Barnes & Noble. The store will open at 9 a.m. and hand out a limited amount of wristbands, a news release says. Fans must purchase a 100 Monkeys CD to receive a wristband.

Tickets for the all-ages show at Crocodile Rock, 520 Hamilton St., are $10.”

Now tonight when we spoke with the representative from 100 Monkeys we learned that there are less than 100 tickets left. All of their recent shows in Philly and NYC have sold out. You don’t want to get caught short, so order ahead of time!

The Lexicon is going to be covering the show and interviewing the band.  So, if you have a 100 Monkeys question for Jared, Jackson, Ben or Ben make sure you comment below! (Please focus the questions on the band and not the upcoming movie unless it is a soundtrack related question.)

We also hear that the band is going to debut FOUR new songs at the Allentown show. AND two lucky fans are going to be selected from the audience and they’ll get to meet the band backstage.

I’ve been in the beautiful city of Berlin and played my first German show on the 5th June, I played a show at the Knaack klub and the support I got was incredible. Some people had travelled 800 miles to see me so it was nice being able to say hello afterwards and the people and say thanks to them properly.

Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning Hit Nylon Music Tour

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning stopped by the Roxy in LA last night to take in the music at Nylon Magazine’s Summer Music Tour. Great way to chill out after a hard days work on the set of the Runaways.

The tour is coming to a city near you, and you never know which celeb who is filming in the area might drop by.

The girls were there to see Patrick Wolf. Other tour performers include Jaguar Love and the Plastiscenes among others. (FYI, the Roxy did have arrangements for under 21’s, but each stop on the tour is differnt so do check local rules.)

Mike Welch Owes Taylor Lautner & Kristen Stewart

According to Mike Welch, he owes it entirely to Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner that he has added screen time in New Moon.

“Kristen [Stewart] and Taylor [Lautner] had to lobby to get this one scene in the film that wasn’t originally in — and I am forever indebted to them for that,” revealed Mike Welch, citing a beloved moment from Stephenie Meyer’s “New Moon” novel. “There’s a scene that’s in the book, the three-way date between Jacob and Bella and Mike, where Mike ends up getting sick, and it’s just very awkward.”
