Noel Fisher Blogs About Twilight and the MTV Movie Awards

Noel Fisher, who plays Stefan in Breaking Dawn, just updated his blog to talk about his experience at the MTV Movie Awards that happened back in June. Towards the end he talks about Erik Odom introducing him to Twilight fansite owners and then a conversation with one person about watching the actors’careers grow and change. The one person was Laura (pel) who was desperately trying to keep her fangirl squee under control because she’s been a fan of Noel’s for awhile after seeing him on Law and Order SVU as Dale Stuckey

“It’s a cliché, but one of the most wonderful things about acting is that it is NEVER the same twice. Every character is different, every location is different, every crew, cast and experience is different. Twilight is no exception. It is by far the most popular and recognizable project I have been a part of. But the really amazing thing about the Twilight universe is what a community it is. Never have I seen a clearer example of this than the MTV Movie Awards.

First, I want to say that being invited to a show you have seen more times than you can remember growing up is pretty exciting and a bit of a trip. But when I arrived I saw that my childhood imagination had NOT exaggerated the size of this event! The red carpet alone must have been 400 ft long. So long in fact, that you couldn’t see from one end of it to the other. It just kept going until it wrapped around a corner and out of sight!”

In theaters November 18, 2011, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” is directed by Academy Award®-winner Bill Condon and is based on the pop culture literary juggernaut “Breaking Dawn” by Stephenie Meyer. After “Twilight” and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” each received five popcorn statues at the 2009 and 2010 “MTV Movie Awards,” fans voted tirelessly this year to ensure “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was included in the 2011 list of final nominated theatricals, with the movie receiving seven nominations in four categories.

The “2011 MTV Movie Awards” will turn fantasy into reality as the improbable materializes live before viewers’ eyes. The magic and wonder of movies will go from the big screen to the “Movie Awards” stage as the fantastical world of whimsical landscapes and larger-than-life, reality-defying moments that audiences love are celebrated. Sure to be a treat for the over-active imagination, this year’s ceremony will build upon the “Movie Awards” trademark individuality and status as Hollywood’s most outrageous live event to provide movie fans with an experience worthy of their favorite blockbusters from the past year.

Emmy® Award Winner Mark Burnett returns for the fifth year in a row to executive produce the “2011 MTV Movie Awards” in Los Angeles, where movie megastars will vie for the golden popcorn in award categories as only MTV could create them. The “2011 MTV Movie Awards” will be a dead heat as the blockbusters “Inception” and “The Social Network” give fan favorite film franchises “The Twilight Saga” and “Harry Potter” some serious competition that could make the night anyone’s to win. Winner voting at MovieAwards.MTV.com for the “2011 MTV Movie Awards” in 12 returning and all-new categories closes on Saturday, June 4. The “BEST MOVIE” category will remain an ongoing battle throughout the LIVE show.

MTV Movie Awards Potter vs Twilight Celebrities Weigh In

Catherine Hardwicke Stays Nuetral on the Best Kiss Debate

catherinehardwickeAt this year’s MTV Movie Awards Eclipse is competing against itself in two categories, one of them being Best Kiss. The specific two kisses that are nominated are the ones between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in the meadow and the one between Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on the mountain top. Catherine Hardwicke chimed in on which way she thinks the vote might go.

“Maybe it can be a tie? That would be perfect! I think [that’s] the safest solution to this problem,” she laughed.

Check out what else Catherine had to say about Twilight and her Red Riding Hood experience on MTV.

A tie in this situation wouldn’t be bad; however, worse would be a split vote allowing another film to take away the prize and preventing a Twilight threepeat!  Vote and vote daily at MTV.

Next Movie Summarizes the Best Movie Nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards

Eclipse will probably pull this one out in our opinion. The strongest competition comes from the Harry Potter franchise, so it’s important to keep voting! Here’s what Next Movie had to say about Eclipse:

“Eclipse” earned $700 million at the worldwide box office, yet was ignored by the Oscars. Fie on you, Academy! Fie! Granted, Twi-Hards would probably have loved this movie no matter how good it was; but fortunately it was good, with thrilling fight scenes, comedic moments, two swoon-worthy romances and plenty to keep fans of both Team Edward and Team Jacob happy. (We don’t know about you, but we always sleep half-naked when we go camping.) The bar’s been set. Your move, “Breaking Dawn.”

Next Movie Profiles Xavier Samuel and Other Breakout Nominees

Next Movie has the rundown on each of the nominees for Best Breakout Star for the MTV Movie Awards:

“As if there weren’t already enough hotness in the “Twilight” series, in “Eclipse” we got Australian actor Xavier Samuel as Riley Biers, the young man who is attacked and turned by Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) into a vampire to lead the newborn army against our pals the Cullens. Who IS that guy?! the Twi-Hards asked when the first movie stills showed Riley leading the villainous vampires out of the water, his eyes (among other things) smoldering; and now that they know, poor Xavier’s life will probably never be the same again.”

See more at MTV, and don’t forget to vote for Xavier!
