In what caused a double moment of “huh?” from this blogger, Robert Pattinson has been named as the U.K. GQ magazine’s best dressed man of 2010. Yes, you read that right – 2010. We’re only six days into the year and he’s already won the title! That was the first thing that had me scratching my head. But the double take came from the fact that we have heard many of those who know Rob well, including Kristin Stewart and Catherine Hardwick, talk about how Rob will throw on random bits of clothes he found lying on the floor simply because he can’t find anything to wear! I guess this proves that it pays to not worry about what is “cool” and just dress the way you feel comfortable! Pattinson jumps a whopping 38 places on this years list based mostly on his popularity and fan appeal. The site even provides you with a “how to” guide for the guy who wants to dress like Rob.

Reminder: People’s Choice Awards on tonight
We’ve had a few e-mails and tweets asking about this so we figured we should remind everyone that the People’s Choice Awards will air tonight at 9pm EST on CBS. Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz will be appearing at the show. However, Robert Pattinson will not be appearing due to work commitments. Still, it should be an interesting show to watch considering that New Moon is up for Favorite Movie as well as several other acting awards. Queen Latifah will be hosing. Tune in to see the power of the Twilight fandom and how it all plays out!
You can watch the red carpet footage live on streaming video from the official site.
Taylor Lautner: Highest paid teen actor in Hollywood
It is being reported that Taylor Lautner snagged an amazing 7.5 million to star in Northern Lights opposite Tom Cruise. Nikki Finki has deduced that with this sum of money Lautner has sky rocketed to being the highest paid teenaged actor in Hollywood over Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus. Fans of Twilight might think he’s worth the price tag, but as Cinema Blend points out, Lautner hasn’t carried a film on his own yet which makes the paycheck that much more impressive.
“Given that Lautner hasn’t carried a single movie without the word Twilight in the title, that’s a pretty significant gamble. Robert Pattinson’s projects beyond Twilight haven’t really gone anywhere, though granted, he hasn’t been groomed as a new star by a studio in the same way. But can the Twilight effect carry on without Bella lurking somewhere in the frame?”
FearNet: Top Five 2010 New Year’s Resolutions for Twilighters
FearNet has Twilight themed New Year’s resolutions out:
“Tired of the Twilight haters? Here are five key resolutions to make your 2010 another awesome year in unabashed Twilight obsession.
If you’re sick of the same old New Year’s resolutions – lose weight, stop smoking, watch more good horror – I have a new challenge for you: take on one or more of these Twilight-oriented goals for 2010 and see how much more respectable your secret (or not so secret) obsession with Edward Cullen can become in your everyday dealings with haters. If everyone does their part, we can all help “normalize” the all-consuming, life-altering affliction known as Twilight mania in the New Year! We’ll no longer be second-class citizens in the eyes of the film world! (Especially if ticket sales stay consistent.)”
Vote for Twilight on Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy Fallon has a new poll going. According to the site, “In the spirit of our Which Band Has The Best Fans poll (which resulted in an all-out war between Juggalos and Phisheads), we’re now asking an even more important question: which teen idol has the very best, most dedicated, loyal, dare I say rabid, fans? That’s because this Friday, Nick Jonas will be on our show, performing with his new solo project, Nick Jonas and The Administration!!! In preparation for the inevitable flood of fans to 30 Rock, I was thinking, which young star has the the most loyal legion of superfans?”
Well, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner are all eligible for your votes. However, at the moment, they are losing to the Jonas Brothers. The poll closes this Friday, so vote now!
And while we are at it, when is Jimmy going back in the tree? We miss his Twilight/Rob parodies! Jimmy just opened a website dedicated to that series of parodies.

Rolling Stone: Which Movies Deserve the Love and the Hate?
Rolling Stone states:
“Hollywood had its biggest year ever with $10.6 billion — I said billion! — in the till for 2009. And we weren’t just paying more for the price of a ticket. Admissions were up by four percent. But if we are defined as a culture by the movies that win the popular vote, you may be pulled up short by this list of the Top 10 winners of 2009…Tell me which one of these Top 10 grossers you’d put in your personal time capsule and which one you’d like to see burn like the Nazi high command at the end of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds?”
Casting Scams For Breaking Dawn
![]()
We are still getting emails and Tweets regarding Breaking Dawn casting. We don’t want to break anyone’s heart, but at the same time we don’t want to see anyone taken advantage of either. Seriously, we’d love to be able to say that anyone with no experience stands a chance of being cast as Carmen or Tanya, but it’s not the case. Breaking Dawn is not currently casting. Those ads you see online are a total scam.
In fact one company actually contacted us via our forum PM to see if we would run ads on our site. In their email, which we verified with Summit is complete bogus, the following exchange happend:
Lexion: “Your message regarding advertising the Breaking Dawn casting call was forwarded to me since in addition to helping with advertising I am also one of the bloggers who covers current news regarding Twilight. I didn’t realize that the movie was now moving onto open casting calls. Which firm will be handling the casting? Will it be done in Portland or Vancouver?”
Supposed Casting Agent: “Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights from Stephenie Meyer to film and distribute Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Breaking Dawn is still in early pre-production stages, but is accepting submissions for principal roles and extra roles. We are looking for talent nationwide and it will be non-union.”
Casting agent Lana Veenker’s name is also erroneously getting thrown around on and off as being connected to the project. Lana did cast certain roles in Twilight, but she was not involved with New Moon or Eclipse since they were shot in Vancouver. Lana’s spoken out before about how these things are scams, but in a recent article for Oregon Live she goes further to explain just what your chances are of being cast in a principal part or as an extra.
“It’s all a scam, Lana says.
“Anyone who is saying click here to audition for ‘Breaking Dawn,’ or the deadline is coming up, is lying. ‘Breaking Dawn’ is not in production. No casting directors have been hired. Nobody is hiring extras.”
First of all, “they haven’t even announced what city or country they’re going to shoot in,” Lana says. “They may shoot in Vancouver again,” in British Columbia. If they do, “they’re not going to hire American extras to shoot in Vancouver. American kids wouldn’t be legal to work in Canada anyway without work permits.
“There’s no way the production company would hassle getting permits for extras when thousands are dying to be in this who live right there.”
IESB: Kristen Prout Interview
IESB interviewed Canadian Actress, Kristen Prout, most well known for her Kyle XY role about her upcoming role as Lucy in Eclipse. Lucy along with Maria are the vampires that that are instrumental in changing Jasper.
“IESB: Playing a vampire, were you at all disappointed that you weren’t going to get to wear fangs?
Kirsten: When I was reading the books, I was very surprised that there weren’t fangs. The vampires in the Twilight Saga don’t have fangs. We sparkle. No, I wasn’t disappointed. The thing is, a lot of the actors that have been hired have very nice teeth that are very noticeable. They’ve picked people with teeth that stand out. It’s more threatening. You notice that there’s something different about that person’s teeth, but it’s not fangs. It’s not obvious. You don’t know you’re going to get bitten. I was not disappointed. When someone tells you you’re going to be a vampire in Twilight, the reaction is not disappointment. I’ve had to deal with prosthetic teeth and it’s not fun.”
