Video: Robert Pattinson Auction
New Moon Fountain Being Built
Twilight Italia sent us some great links to today.
First there is a video of the centerpiece of the fountain being pieced together.
Next there is footage of the Porsche again, only this time it is out in the countryside.
You can read their report here and here . It has lots of other details which you can more or less make out if you toss it through the Babelfish translators.
Robert Pattinson Up For Bid
Rob auctioned himself off for a good cause today, the AIDS charity amfAR. The late Natasha Richardson was their spokesperson for over 15 years and was a member of their board of trustees until her untimely death earlier this year.
According to ET:
“The vampy leading man was auctioned off today in Cannes for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2009 Cocktail Party. The bidding got so high that Pattinson was split between two bidders, who each paid $20,000 for the chance to meet, greet and win a kiss on the cheek from the ‘Twilight’ idol.”
For more details see ET, and for information on the work that amfAR does click here.
Peter Facinelli Visits an Italian Village…Sort Of
Don’t feel to bad for Peter Facinelli missing out on the granduer of Italy. He and wife Jennie Garth posed for the cameras at the grand opening of Beaches Turks & Caicos Italian Village.
“The four-day getaway for Facinelli and family (90210 star Jennie Garth and their children) featured a fun-filled itinerary beginning with a “Welcome to Beaches” Barefoot Beach Party, where the Tinseltown twosome mingled with fellow famous faces including Maria Menounos, comedienne Cheryl Hines, Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York
City and former Lipstick Jungle cast member Robert Buckley.”

Red Flags Fly Over Montepulciano
It seems like all of Europe is heading to Montepulciano. We’ve heard from two different Italian sites, Swedish fans, French fans, and now it’s Germany’s turn. Members of the German site Forks Bloodbank are in Montepulciano and they grabbed some fantastic photos.

The whole town is being decked out for St. Marcus Day. The main square where they are putting the finishing touches on the new fountain got the royal treatment, and connecting alleyways (you can picture Bella running down them screaming “Edward!”) are covered too.

See the whole gallery at Forks Bloodbank, including a possible shot of Rob’s body double.
Who Should Direct Breaking Dawn?
The LA Times, in light of Robert Pattinson’s statement that he’d be up for a 4th film, proposes a couple of ideas ranging from Alfonso Cuaron to Sam Raimi to Len Wisemen.
“With countless challenges ahead for anyone hired to helm the project, Summit would be well advised to take their buckets of cash and invest in a director who knows makeup, special effects and young love and won’t balk at the thought of a rapidly growing vampire baby. Not to mention inheriting the vampires and werewolves of past directors Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz and David Slade.”
Who knows, maybe Kevin Smith might be interested in the job. His daughter is certainly a big fan, at least according to an MTV interview.

Sexiest Vegetarian: Christian Serratos vs Liz Reaser
Peta has nominated Hollywood’s glamorous vegatarians in their Who’s the World’s Sexiest Vegetarian poll. Both Christian Serratos and Liz Reaser have been nominated. Other nominees include long-time vegetarian and PETA spokes people like Alicia Silverstone.
According to PETA:
“Each year, the crop of meat-free hotties gets larger and larger, and this year is no exception. Whether they’re ditching their meat habit because they don’t want to have any part in cruelty to animals or they’ve realized that a vegetarian diet is the best way to keep their flat tummies, the number of celebs shunning flesh is steadily rising.”
