Comic Con For Twilight Fans in 2013
We know of so many Twilight fans who have experienced Comic Con and are intending to go back again. Despite the media stupidity in thinking Twilight fans like only Twilight, we know that we have seen fellow fans at Game of Throne, Doctor Who, The Hobbit, Fringe, The Walking Dead, Firefly, Once Upon a Time panels…just to name a few. In any case, next summer there probably won’t be a Twilight presence, but there will likely be two franchises there that Twilight fans are into: The Hunger Games and The Mortal Instruments. Here’s the scoop on the tickets that went on sale this weekend and upcoming sales in 2013.
Many are confused about the badge registration process, so let us try to explain it, simply. The registration process is split into two phases, as it has been in subsequent years. The first phase is called the pre-registration, and is for people who attended the current year’s convention, which is what was held this past Saturday. The second phase is the open registration , which is registration to the general public, and will be held sometime early 2013. Generally pre-registration is held on-site during the con, but after last year’s mammoth lines, CCI opted for an online-only sale for 2012 attendees, with some additional restrictions on how many badges they could purchase and for whom.

Reminder: Stephenie Meyer Doesn’t Have Any Social Media
There’s a rumor floating around that Stephenie Meyer released information via Instagram. We figured that we would remind people that the only source for directly contacting the public that Stephenie Meyer uses is her her official website stepheniemeyer.com. Stephenie does not have any of the below for communicating with fans. Any accounts stating such are BOGUS:
- YouTube Chanel
- Tumblr
ANYTHING EXCEPT StephenieMeyer.com and Fickle Fish Films (her production company) are FAKE!

As She Moves On to Apparition Ashley Greene’s Biggest Twilight Takeaway is the Fans
According to the LA Times, Ashley Greene had the following to say about what has been the biggest thing she’s takes way from the Twilight Saga.
When asked what her biggest takeaway from the past few years was — her rising style-icon status, multiple film and television projects all spurred from”Twilight”– she answered, “The fans. I remember being at the first premiere and wanting to cry, it was the first time seeing all that love and support. They’ve been there ever since,” Greene said.
She also realizes the significance of giving away this final film, directed by Bill Condon.
“We’re at the point now where I’m like, ‘Oh. This is getting weird’ …,” she said, “It’s strange. We’re not going back [to film] after this last premiere. We made this family and, you know.”
Ashley’s latest post Twilight film is Apparition. which opens in three weeks.

New Face Fridays: Meet Judi Shekoni as Zafrina
The Twilight fansites New Face Fridays series continues. Meet Judi Shekoni who plays Zafrina of the Amazon Coven. Also check out Zafrina’s full story in our character bios. Judi was a HUGE fan of the book before getting cast. She really loves being a part of the Twilight Saga.
Could you talk about what it was like the first time you saw yourself fully in costume? There are some wonderful studio stills that were released of you and Tracey [Heggins] together in costume.
Yes, the first time I saw myself fully in costume was overwhelming. It was kind of hypnotic and you can’t stop staring at yourself in the mirror. It was just kind of overwhelming. I don’t think I’ve ever been in that position in my life, where I had so many people who are great at what they do, all come together and work on this project as one entity. It was really breathtaking. As it was happening with the costume tests and make up tests that when it finally came together, it was all of a process, and it was very rewarding.
Will we get to see some of Zafrina’s illusions in Breaking Dawn Part 2?
I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about that. [laughs] I mean, we know the character has a special power. I don’t know if I can talk about that to be honest. I’m so sorry.
You can catch the rest of this great interview with Judi on Breaking Dawn Movie.
Summit Confirms Breaking Dawn Is Business as Usual
We feel kind of silly posting this, because we didn’t see how whatever is going on in anyone’s personal lives was going to change their contractual obligations to promote a film, or for that matter stop people from seeing a franchise that they all love. However since it’s an official statement, we’re running it to quell any lingering doubts.
In an exclusive statement to EW, Summit’s president of worldwide marketing, Nancy Kirkpatrick says: “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.”
We’ve see a lot of discussion about the fall press junket being potentially awkward. Just as a point of reference, unlike Comic Con where people are lined up together at the same table for press conferences and fan panels, the fall press junkets have always been solo events when it comes to Rob, Kristen, and Taylor. In other words, not being with other actors on stage is the norm. The actors with smaller parts have always been doubled or tripled up, but the trio has always had time alone for press Q & A…well as alone as you can be on stage by yourself in a room with 100 press people in it. Also red carpet arrivals (if so desired) can easily be staggered so people are not on top of each other. In fact, as attendees can attest, the stars maybe pose for one or two group shots, but they then walk the carpet solo, not with another cast mate. So, could things get awkward? Possibly, but not as awkward as you might imagine.
