Pranks on the Breaking Dawn set

Guri Weinberg who plays Stefan just updated his blog with a series of funny stories about what happened behind the scenes on Breaking Dawn.

Here’s a brief snippet

We’re all on set against a green screen and massive amounts of fake snow. Shoot dates were getting long and we were all extremely silly. Plus, there were cardboard cut outs of the ‘wolves’. If THAT’S not fodder for juvenile behavior, I don’t know what is. So, par for the course, one of the P.A.s starts taping various notes to unsuspecting people’s backs…

Not to be outdone by ANYONE, Charlie Bewley had some prints made of a photo of himself looking particularly snooty as ‘Demetri. On the photo, he wrote ‘Team Demetri’ and stuck it on Nikki Reed’s back. She had no idea for hours, so definitely he scored a win with that one. Plus, it started the ‘Team’ epitaphs (‘Team Cullen’, ‘Team Wolves’, ‘Team Edward’, ‘Team Bella’, ‘Team GFYS’) that became ALL the rage. Coincidently, if you have never seen a huge, burly, macho grip or electrician with ‘Team Edward’ taped to their back, I’m just not sure you’ve lived…

So, I’m back over in Stephenie’s video village, thinking that would be a safe haven. As I’m chatting it up with her about CRITICAL issues facing the world today (like my deep love for Food TV), I am oblivious to the fact that a P.A. is attaching a hook to my coat – the other end of the hook is attached to a sand bag. As Stephenie is chatting with me, she gives NO indication of what is taking place behind me. All is fine until I stand up and prepare to walk away…only to be jerked back to my chair in a motion that has only been captured before in The Three Stooges films. I’m embarrassed, OBVIOUSLY, and Stephenie is looking at me like the cat that ate the canary. OH! The shame…

The Top MTV Movie Award Twilight Moments

Les Grossman Promos

Some of the funniest stuff from the 2010 MTV Movie Awards came along before the show by way of promotional teasers. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner linked up with Tom Cruise’s Tropic Thunder alter-ego “Les Grossman” for two of them, both of which had most Twilight fans rolling on the floor. Pattinson’s took jabs at the popularity of his hair (video here), while Lautner’s joked at what would happen if he couldn’t make it to the show.

Robert Pattinson Quotes in Modern Poetry Book

It’s all a spoof in good fun that uses celebrity quotes. Most of the Robert Pattinson quotes used were taken from Twilight-based interviews.

According to Hypable

The creators of the The Stupidest Things website and companion books have brought us another masterpiece in the form of The Anthology of Really Important Modern Poetry: Timeless ‘Poems’ By Snooki, John Boehner, Kanye West and Other Well-Versed Celebrities.

Kathryn and Ross Petras offer a timeless collection of “found” poetry—real quotes formatted as verse for hilarious and surprising effect. The quotes are entertaining and the use of verse only makes the words sound more ridiculous. This is parody at its finest.

Will Breaking Dawn Four-Peat the Best Kiss Award

Breaking Dawn is up for The Best Kiss Award in the MTV Movie Awards. MTV thinks Breaking Dawn part one has the edge to take home the prize again.

 

According to MTV

Their competitors this year are actually pretty fierce: Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone (“Crazy, Stupid, Love.”), Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2”), Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson (“The Hunger Games”), and Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum (“The Vow”).

Stiff competition or not, because Stewart and Pattinson have such a seriously dedicated fanbase and a great track record with both their Movie Awards appearances and award acceptances, we’re betting the odds are in their favor.

Taking a look at the other nominees, the only kiss that could really be called steamy, other than the Breaking dawn Kiss, is the one between Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, and steamy tends to win this award.

Last year you may remember that Robert Pattinson and Taylor Launter had some fun with the crowd celebrating the kiss win.

MTV Movie Awards Nominations

The Twilight Saga has had a strong presence at the MTV movie awards over the last few years.  But this year changes things.  Breaking Dawn Pt 1 is only nominated in two categories: Best Kiss and Movie of the Year.  Hunger Games, Deathly Hallows,  and Bridesmaids made out with the most noms.  In fact, Bridesmaids is almost nominated in every category, an issue that used to be related to The Twilight Saga films.  Voting will begin tomorrow and the awards will be given out on June 3.

So let’s hear it, folks.  Do you think this is deserving and spot on, or do you feel, as we’re starting to hear on twitter, that it was done because people are tired of The Twilight Saga sweeping the MTV awards?  And which of the categories do you think Breaking Dawn Part 1 should have been nominated in:  Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance,  Best Cast, Best on Screen Transformation, Best Fight, Best Gut-Wrenching Performance, or Best Music?

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Back in Vancouver

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were spotted back in the Vancouver airport. They will join director Bill Condon and Michael Sheen for shot additional footage that is needed to complete Breaking Dawn Part 2. As was previously reported this is minor footage. Additional footage was also done for the other movies such as the tent scene in Eclipse and the meadow scene in Twilight.

Maggie Grace Says There Are Twilight Bonds

According to Maggie Grace there was definitely cast bonding on the set of Breaking Dawn

According to Contact Music:

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn stars Casey Labow, Maggie Grace, Julia Jones and Mia Maestro have become best friends on and off the set – and they regularly hook up for coven-like dinner parties.

The foursome clicked on the set of the final Twilight movies – and now former Lost star Grace hopes they’ll be friends for life.

She says, “It was a gaggle of fun girls and we still have these coven reunions, as geeky as that sounds. We did little field trips during the shoot, and we still have dinner parties when we’re all in L.A.”

Twilight Stars Make Glamour’s Best Dressed List

Four Twilight Saga celebs made the cut for Glamour’s Best Dressed of 2012 (which we find slightly odd because we’re only 4 months into the year, but who’s counting?) The big surprise comes with Kristen Stewart’s top rank of #1 on the women’s list beating out Victoria Beckham and even Kate Middleton!  “Kristen is always effortlessly on-trend. Her evolution from awkward teen to style queen has made the Twilight star a fashion icon every girl can relate to.”  Ashley Greene also made the list, but just barely.  She came in at number 50 out of 50.  Both Taylor Lautner and Rob Pattinson made the men’s list.  Taylor came in at 5th place and Rob in 10th.
