Bitten by Books has Edward and Bella nominated as favorite paramornal couple. Competitor couples include everyone from Vane and Bride (Sherilyn Kenyon) to Wrath and Beth (J.R.Ward). As we post this, Edward and Bella are seriously trailing in the poll. Now despite a large hunk of the admin team going to a certain other vampire author’s signing recently, we’re voting Edward and Bella on this one. Fortunately there are no torn loyalties since Butch, Zadist, Rhage, and Rhev didn’t make the poll
According to the site:

Robert Pattinson spoke to the Hollywood Reporter in Cannes saying,
“Robert Pattinson, who shot to stardom in “Twilight” and is now filming the second and third movies in the franchise, confirmed Tuesday in Cannes that there will be a fourth installment of the vampire franchise based on the book “Breaking Dawn.”
Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn’t know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor’s jam-packed shooting schedule.”
Keep in mind that we know the script has not yet been written, and with the Olympics being in Vancounver this winter followed immediately by the Eclipse PR blitz for the June 30th Eclipse release, we don’t know that they could film this before summer 2010.
Popsugar has a video of Rob at the photo call. It makes you wonder if someone just randomly shouting out “Yo Bob!” or “Hey Dude” might have a better shot of attracting Rob’s attention.
Kaleb Nation has a video up where he analyzes the New Moon poster. He’s also continuing along with his Breaking Dawn read, and is currently up to chapter 11.
Kaleb is New York City bound next week. He’ll be appearing at Book Expo to promote his debut novel (which is getting fantastic early buzz from Publishers Weekly and D. J. MacHale, Kim Harrison and Kaza Kingsley). You can preorder his book Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse on Amazon.
Rob posed for photographers on the Rivera today. He’s in Cannes to promote New Moon and Remember Me for Summit.
This weekend 100 Monkeys are playing in Philadelphia. There are two shows on Saturday at Khyber. Tickets are $10 a person. The good news is that they are playing at 3:00 and a 9:00 on Saturday, and the 3:00 is open to any age. The 9:00 show is 21+.
You can buy tickets in advance online. Given the band’s popularity, we’d recommend getting the tickets in advance!

Lana Veenker is asking for fan input for a contest to win actor signed posters.
For those of you unfamiliar with Lana, she was involved in the Twilight casting. She’s based in the Portland area and gives seminars and classes on breaking into ‘the business”.
Older (note I didn’t say old) fans are now in luck. Defining Twilight has heard you, and they have created a category in their contest for the 19+ crowd.
According to the organizers:
“Many Twilight fans were upset that there was no age category in the Defining Twilight Essay Contest for fans older than 18.
So due to popular demand, I have added a “19 and older” age category to the Essay Contest; First Prize in each category $500.”
