Rotten Tomatoes has a top ten list on the things New Moon proved at Comic Con. Number 9 was out favorite:
“9. Twilight fanaticism was as strong as ever this year. While nothing could top the ear-piercing and unexpected sounds of thousands of girls at the Twilight panel last year — where fan boy culture’s hold on the Con was hijacked by a vampire romance, of all things — 2009 sure came close. And Twilighters were better prepared for the challenge of getting a coveted seat in Hall H for Thursday’s panel; a few fans camped out a full two days ahead, and by Wednesday morning, Twihards were Twittering from the line.”
Check out the whole list here.
We had a blast at the Borders podcast. Be My Escape acted as behind the scenes help doling out prizes while Pel sat on the panel.
Pel was able to do a trivia game with some hard questions apparently, and then she followed up on a panel discussing what’s in the upcoming movie.
Kallie and Kassie & Andrew and Matt are pros when it comes to podcasting. They have it down and know how to make it an interesting show. Make sure you check out both the Twilight Source/Imprint and Twilight Series Theories sites.
You can hear the podcast on ITunes or Mevio. The details are here on Twilight Series Theories.
A huge thank you to Borders media, mangement, and store manager, Carlos, and staff for making it happen.
Some how this got stuck in our draft queue, not sure how that happened. Better late than never.
Steve (AKA Frosty) from Collider snagged an interview with Ashley Greene just before the panel discussion.
He is promising more shortly. Check out his write up here.
I guess we’re all one phone call from our knees.
The key info is around the 2:50 mark or so. TY to keeton
Team Jacob fans please do not kill her; she seems to have underestimated the appeal.

It seems The Used are currently working on their contribution to the New Moon Soundtrack which will be released on October 13th according to information given at Comic Con. You can follow The Used on Twitter at WeAreTheUsed. Thanks to Marianna for the heads up!!
For those of you who haven’t heard of The Used before there check out their official site which has some great vidoe footage and music videos. I have posted a sample of their music from their site below.
If there were a master of all masters in the comic’s industry, Stan Lee would take that title. He is responsible for some of the most iconic superheroes of the 20th century. His creations include Spiderman, X-men, and the Fantastic 4 to name a few. What’s even better, is that at 86, Stan Lee has more energy than men half his age. Stan was one of the biggest, mesmerizing, fan draws at Comic Con. By “mesmerizing fan draws” we mean that glazed over and in awed look that that people get accompanied by a barely audible, “I love your work.”
According to Just Jared, it looks like Kellan Lutz got to meet Stan at the The Radical Event hosted by Barry Levine, Gene and Nick Simmons at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on Saturday night, two nights after the Twilight Comic Con appearance.
Kellan wasn’t incognito at the party, but he was earlier on Friday when various fans (including Kallie and Kassie of Twilight Series Theories) recognized him under a bad wig and hood. Actually, what caught their eye was that accompanying Kellan on his journey through the exhibition floor was castmate Noot Seear. We had met Noot the night before at the Twilight Experience event, and and they recognized her. Being a runway model, between striking good looks and stauesque build, she tends to stick out in the crowd. She stands out even moreso when you wonder how the guy in the bad wig managed to hang out with her. That’s when Kallie and Kassie put it together and realized the two were trying tobe incognito explore the the exhibition floor. It probably would have worked if he was solo. Kallie and Kassie had a good laugh, and didn’t give Kellan up.
IESB adds another great interview to their Comic Con collection. This time out they talked to Ashley Greene and Chris Weitz.
“Q: How is it for the cast?
Ashley: The funny thing about it is that we’re not filming, but we’re still traveling, doing press and doing Comic-Con, so we’re not really getting a break. At least we’re not working 12-hour days. We get a little bit of time to rest. But, it’s good that we’re getting them all done because we keep the memory fresh. We’re in these characters for the next two years, so I think that it helps to get them all done at once.
Q: Why do you think these books have succeeded so well as films?
Chris: I think it’s the feeling that, in some way, the vision presented on the screen was not so different from what they dreamed up in their head, when they were reading it, and that’s a very difficult thing to do because you’re presenting a contrary image to what any reader’s experience is. There’s something very sacred about the experience of reading a book. There’s something very extraordinary about a film, when you’re in a darkened room, seeing it. And, if those two things can blend, in some good way, then that’s great.”
