Twilight and Kristen Stewart Nominated for Kid’s Choice Award

The Kid’s Choice Awards are coming up on March 31 and there are two categories Twilight fans should have their eyes on .  First up, Kristen Stewart is nominated with Emma Watson, Amy Adams, and Sofia Vergaga for favorite movie actress.  Also the Twilight Saga as a whole is up against three other sagas for best book.  The competition includes Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Hunger Games, and Harry Potter.

EDIT: Thanks to Emily for the heads up.  I missed that Taylor Lautner was also nominated in the Buttkicker category.  He’s up again Jessica Alba, Kelly Kelly, and Tom Cruise.

EW Exclusive Video: Booboo Stewart at Breaking Dawn Release Party With Erik Odom and Jack Morrissey

Booboo Stewart popped up at a Breaking Dawn release party in the Los Angeles area.

An especially gorgeous midwinter Friday night was not enough to deter Los Angeles Twilight fans from lining up inside the West Hollywood Target for a sneak peak of Breaking Dawn — Part 2. This infamous Target wasn’t only one to hold a midnight release party for the DVD-Blu-ray release of Breaking Dawn — Part 1 — in fact, it was one of nearly 500 – but it was definitely the only location to boast a surprise visit from one of the film’s stars, Booboo Stewart. EW was on the scene to check out the footage and chat with Stewart and the fans on their thoughts. Spoiler alert: The fans really liked it!

We can’t embed the video, but you can see it here.

Also present at the very same store were Bill Condon’s partner Jack Morrissey (find him on Twitter on Team Jack) and Erik Odom who plays Peter in Breaking Dawn Part 2. Thanks to our friend Tina Gill for sending over photos.

Next Movie’s Male TwiHard Reviews the Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVD

The Male TwiHard has chimed in with his opinion about the Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVD:

I was looking forward to Condon’s commentary, because he got short-changed during his panel discussion at the Twilight Convention, when he was onstage with KStew, RPattz and Lautner. And the native New Yorker doesn’t disappoint.

Right out of the gate, he talks about how the film didn’t originally begin with Jacob receiving the invite to Bella and Edward’s wedding and running angrily off into the pouring rain. The first scene was Aro receiving the invitation, right after the Volturi have massacred 50 people. It was supposed to remind the audience of the looming threat of the vampire elite, but was cut because Condon felt “Part 1” is more about Bella’s struggle inside than the outside threats. Luckily, Condon also says that scene will show up on an extended cut at some point.

Condon is intelligent and gives a number of great insights — way too many to note here — but I will tell you that he says the original sex scene between Bella and Edward was more graphic. Unfortunately, the MPAA threatened an R rating unless it was scaled back, so we got what we got. And, there is no Bella nipple. I was wrong before. Trust me, I checked a few times.

Breaking Dawn DVD Commercial Aimed at Husbands and Boyfriends

So how many of your significant others took the hint. When Laura was out at Target on Friday night, she met at least three guys who were there to get the DVD for their wives, including one guy whose wife thought he was out bowling.

Casey LaBow Talks Her 5 Auditions to Land the Role of Kate in Breaking Dawn

Casey LaBow didn’t have an easy road to get cast in Breaking Dawn. Here she talks about what she went through to land the role of Kate.

Tell me about your audition.

Casey LaBow: You mean the 5 of them?

Sure, I’ll just sit back and listen.

Casey LaBow: Get comfortable. It took 3 months of them bringing me in and out. Come in with straight hair, here’s some different lines, we need to see it again, can you do this? And I was pulling my hair out. I was going to quit actually. I had come to the consensus at a certain point that, as I was crying on the floor of my shower, that I was not equipped for this kind of pressure. That I was just going to throw in the towel if I didn’t get the job. And I got it.

After the first audition, were you like, “This is awesome. I think I did great.” Why did they keep on calling you back?

Casey LaBow:
You know, I think there were so many people that needed to get in line on the decision. The director, the writer, the producers. All these people that had to come together and agree. For whatever reason, initially there was some resistance for me. But I believe, I think it was Bill Condon the director who really responded to me right away and fought for me.

That’s a good person to have fight for you.

Casey LaBow: It sure is. I mean, I think. I don’t know for a fact, I didn’t ask him.
But I will tell you this, the very first day that I got on set – the entire audition process was video so I only read with casting. I never read for producers, I never read for the director. It was all video.

Does that make it easier?

Casey LaBow: You know what? It did and it didn’t. There was aspects of it. Like, “Maybe if they see me…” But anyway, the first day I got on set and I finally met Bill, the first thing he said to me was, “I’m so sorry.”

Casey also talks about Kate’s powers and more here on Daily Actor In case you missed it, she gave an interview yesterday that talked about being a fan of the series and working with Lee Pace who plays Garrett.

Kristen Stewart Explains Valentine’s Day Spoof

The their ongoing Kristen Stewart Explains It All series, barely political and the Huffington Post now have a Valentine’s Day themed one. It’s very tongue-in-cheek and satirizes some of Kristen Stewart’s mannerisms as well as Twilight.
