Doing Twilight Cyber Shopping: Check Out CafePress

The folks over at Cafepress sent over this announcement:

Third time is even more of a charm for the Twilight Saga, as “Breaking Dawn” has scored the fifth most successful box office opening in history as moviegoers flocked to the cinemas to the tune of over $139 million dollars in ticket sales on opening weekend.

It seems as if the wedding theme has resonated with dedicated Twi-hards, some of whom dressed up in bridal attire to attend the film! (Designer Alfred Angelo even made a replica of Kristen Stewart’s wedding dress).

Fans are embracing their “invitation” to the wedding, and purchasing and designing their own wedding souvenirs via the Twilight portal at CafePress, the world’s customization engine.

Fans who want to commemorate their attendance at the wedding of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen can choose from some of these items:

More “Breaking Dawn” fan merchandise, visit the CafePress Twilight portal.

And in a bit of shameless self promotion, we’d love it if you helped to support the Twilight Lexicon by buying something from our own Lexicon CafePress shop! The graphics above are our top sellers!

Fan Checks Out Bella’s Wedding Dress

The person behind the Twilighter’s dream website and Facebook decided to go to Alfred Angelo and check out Bella’s wedding dress. We’re glad she did because we really wanted to know what the dress looked like on someone who is not a professional model!

My best friend Gaby went with me to Alfred Angelo and we had so much fun. The store only had ONE DRESS and it was the dress that was on the mannequin so they had to take it off. HAHA It is also a Size 10 so it was a little big. Regardless I got to try it on and take pictures and that is all I cared about! 🙂

I really wanted to blog about the whole experience and post the pictures at the same time but I am just TOOOO excited and want to share all the pictures with you. I will still write a blog our twi-adventure because it’s a funny story. I totally will but for now I am just posting the pictures.

Breaking Dawn Exceeds 500 Million in Global Box Office in 12 Days

According to Gossip Cop:

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has passed the $500 million mark.

The film grossed $508 million in global box office in only 12 days since the film’s release on November 18, 2011.

Summit Entertainment’s Co-Chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger stated: We couldn’t be more pleased with the success of this film and a franchise that the fans have continued to support over the past several years. Thank you to all involved with the films from the actors, filmmakers and Stephenie Meyer to the most important group of all, the global fan base that continues to drive a desire for more Edward, Jacob and Bella.”

What’s interesting is if you compare the day-by-day totals of Breaking Dawn to those of New Moon and Eclipse, Breaking Dawn is slightly behind New Moon but ahead of Eclipse/ New Moon was a heavy front seller while Eclipse was more even throughout. Keep in mind with Eclipse there were also IMAX sales that commanded a higher price.

So all that being said, it’s anyone’s guess where Breaking Dawn will land in franchise history when it ends its box office run

Professional Fangirl Alice Meets Alice

Alice in NYC on Twitter is a self-proclaimed professional fangirl. She’s ended up in almost every single MTV “My Celebrity BFF” post. So Next Movie had her cover Ashely Greene and Pan Am

Like many of you, I’ve always had a bit of an obsession with pop culture and celebrities. Growing up in the New York area, I was always going to concerts and signings in an attempt to get up close and personal with some of my favorites.

About two years ago, I turned the fascination into a full-time hobby … and have since met more celebrities than I can even remember — Robert Pattinson, Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan and George Clooney among them. Now, the fine folks at NextMovie have tasked me, Professional Fan Girl, with recounting my run-ins with movie stars and sharing my adventures at premieres, awards shows, etc. with you.

I didn’t waste any time getting my meet-and-greet on. Today’s special: “Twilight” starlet Ashley Greene as she filmed a guest appearance on ABC Television’s “Pan Am” in Manhattan today.
