Fan Checks Out Bella’s Wedding Dress

The person behind the Twilighter’s dream website and Facebook decided to go to Alfred Angelo and check out Bella’s wedding dress. We’re glad she did because we really wanted to know what the dress looked like on someone who is not a professional model!

My best friend Gaby went with me to Alfred Angelo and we had so much fun. The store only had ONE DRESS and it was the dress that was on the mannequin so they had to take it off. HAHA It is also a Size 10 so it was a little big. Regardless I got to try it on and take pictures and that is all I cared about! 🙂

I really wanted to blog about the whole experience and post the pictures at the same time but I am just TOOOO excited and want to share all the pictures with you. I will still write a blog our twi-adventure because it’s a funny story. I totally will but for now I am just posting the pictures.

Video: More Bella’s Wedding Dress Outtakes

Summit entertainment just released some more footage and facts about Bella’s wedding dress:

Here are some interesting facts about the wedding dress:

Stephenie Meyer & Director, Bill Condon selected this design out of ten sketches that Ms. Herrera submitted.
The wedding dress is handmade and took Ms. Herrera and four seamstresses six months to complete.
The wedding dress was custom fit for Kristen Stewart.
The dress is made out of crepe satin and French Chantilly lace
152 buttons line the back of the dress and there are 17 buttons on each sleeve
Ms. Herrera designed the back of the dress to be a surprise, and she considers it very romantic.
Ms Herrera plans to include the design in her 2012 collection and it will be available at her CHNY boutiques next year.
The estimated value of Bella’s wedding dress is $35,000.
The bridal dress company Alfred Angelo will be selling a replica of the dress in select stores retailing at $799.

Bella’s Wedding Dress Now Available on the Alfred Angelo Site

Alfred Angelo is the manufacturer the Bella’s Wedding dress that was designed by Carolina Herrera for the movie Breaking dawn Part 1. According to the Alfred Angelo site the dress is currently priced under $999, and they give the details below. Best part of the details in our opinion is the gown isn’t just limited to smaller sizes!

Here’s what designer Carolina Herrera had to say about it on the red carpet to MTV

Get Bella’s Wedding Dress from Alfred Angelo

Let’s face it Bella’s wedding dress is the best kept secret in Breaking Dawn.  Kristen described the wedding dress experience to W magazine “The wedding dress experience was a huge deal. I tried on one version of the dress, and it was like tweak and tweak and alter and tweak and change, and then it’s done.”

Now you can own your very own Bella wedding dress.  According to PRWeb bridal retailer Alfred Angelo will have replicas of the gown in stores by the end of November.

The gown will be a replica of the wedding dress worn by Kristen Stewart in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1. It will be priced in line with Alfred Angelo’s popular bridal collection, and available in sizes 0 to 30W to fit every Twilight bride.

Carolina Herrera Confirmed as the Bella’s Wedding Dress Designer

The official Twilight Twitter just confirmed what Reelz Channel had the scoop on this one dropping the news a few days ago that Carolina Herrera was the designer of Bella’s wedding dress. However, were pretty sure they are going to try to keep the look under wraps until the movie or just before considering the message that you can see it in November.

New here is the larger question for you would be brides. Would you want a Bella’s wedding dress to walk down the aisle in? How about the veil? How about the ring?

Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress Designer Revealed?

According to Reelz Channel, they feel that they have unearthed the mystery of who has designed Bella’s wedding dress.

“We have it on good word that Caroline Herrera designed the dress of the year, which will be revealed in the next week or so.”

See more at Reelz.

Somehow we don’t think that they will be revealing the dress so much as the name of the person who designed it. The dress itself will probably be a movie reveal.

Several years ago, Stephenie Meyer gave dress details to Lexicon reader Love 2 Dream who used to have a Bella’s Wedding Dress site. When that site was taken down, Love2Dream graciously gave the information to us so fans could still have it.

Stephenie’s description on the old Lexicon forums was, “I wish I still had the picture I based the description of Bella’s dress on, but it was lost in my fateful computer crash. Those of you who are going with the old fashioned look are on the right track. Two key words to aid in the search: art nouveau. It’s a simpler style than the frillier Edwardian stuff. Elegant white satin, cut on the bias, with long sleeves (the strapless thing is a very recent development. It wasn’t even popular when I was getting married, only 13 years ago, much less during the modest turn of the century). I search google images for the dress every now and then. I’ll let you know if I find something close one of these days.”

Love2dream based on Stephenie’s description, found the above images and asked if she was on the right track. Stephenie replied that the look was close, but not the exact photo that she had seen.

If you want some really good images of just how sexy a bias cut wedding gown can be click here. The bias cut is basically Golden Age of Hollywood glamor. Think Veronica Lake, Rita Hayworth, Vivien Leigh.
