Bella’s Song Poll

Ok here is what you have been waiting for all week! I have actually read through all the comments(all 591) and listened to all the songs (no idea how many).  I have chosen 15 songs for you guys to vote on.  Now before everyone gets huffy about which songs were chosen, I did take into consideration ALL the songs however I couldn’t put that many in a poll, so I took ones that were mentioned numerous times and ones I thought fit.  Below there is a list with the songs and links so everyone can hear them.  I highly suggest listening to the songs before voting you might be surprised at what you find, I was.  I must say I love doing these polls because I get introduced to some truly great music that I wouldn’t normally find on my own.  One last thing to remember this is just for our personal fun.  This has nothing to do with the actual soundtrack!  Enjoy!

Be My Escape

PS-You will want to check out next week’s music feature! =P

PPS- I have been out and was just checking the post and realized I forgot to mention that My Immortal isn’t on the poll because almost everyone would pick it! So pick a song other than that. Also just a note this is for F-U-N.

Montepulciano Preview

Blogger Maggie is back with her report on Montepulciano. She’s describes the city, scouts some possible locations, and has fabulous pictures.

“I made my father pull over at one point so I could get a picture from the road as we approached the city, as I’m sure it’ll be an establishing shot in New Moon. The city sits on top of a hill and while it’s gorgeous in hues of orange, red and brown amongst the greenery, it is rather ominous and forbidding. That’s the point of these hill-fort towns though, to protect them against invaders and be forbidding; that’s precisely what Montepulciano does. It certainly ‘sets the scene.”

New Moon Twitter and Facebook Roundup

First up Michael Sheen wins for the funniest comments:

“Met Stephenie yesterday on the set. She was charming and enthusiastic and very positive. Keep forgetting how freaky i look with my red eyes”

i think Dakota may look the most unsettling though. So angelic yet so weird. As Jane that is of course. like an evil red riding hood.”

Melissa Rosenberg, who the other day spoke about David Slade, now talks about Chris Weitz:

“Writing from the set of New Moon, a ridiculously happy place to be. Everyone is having a gas. Especially me. You’d expect at least one person to be snarky after working so hard for so long but I haven’t heard a single sour note.

Chris Weitz is the zen ringmaster doing a fantastic job. The Volturi look amaaaazing. Michael Sheen embodies Aro so completely, elevating the role to a whole new level. Dakota as Jane knocks me out. Rob and Kristen are gorgeous of course and and and… I probably shouldn’t gush so much, no one will believe that everything is perfect but it is!”

Summit Looks Beyond Twilight

Variety has a sit down  with Summit executives and talked to them about their current success and future plans for their company.  Summit, once a barely noticeable company, scored big this year with both Twilight and the Nicholas Cage movie, Knowing.

“When ‘Twilight’ broke out, we got a lot of vampire scripts,” Friedman says, “But ‘Knowing’ has really confirmed that we’re doing a broad range of projects and that we’re not a genre company.”

Michael Welch: Movie Premiere

Michael Welch was joined on the red carpet by Twilight buddies Justin Chon and Christian Serratos for the premiere of his film Lost Dream. TY to Jill and Vescara(photos)

“Set to grace the screen on May 7th at the Stanley Kramer Theater in Hollywood, Lost Dream is a timely story about the fading American Dream that stars Michael Welch and Shaun Sipos. Producer Mae Nekoba offered, “When casting our two leads we found two of the most impressive up-and-coming actors in the city.”

Michael Welch of Twilight and Joan of Arcadia, plays Perry, a privileged, young intellectual battling against his destiny not wanting to follow in his father’s political footsteps. Perry at this challenging crossroads in his life meets Giovanni, played by Shaun Sipos of The Grudge 2 and Comeback Season, an artist in search of his own voice. Giovanni represents a side that Perry desires providing a tumultuous friendship inducing a suicidal realm of self-discovery. Together, with the guidance of writer/director Ahmed, these two young actors crafted performances that carried the film through its dramatic highlights.

Writer/director Asif Ahmed conceived Lost Dream while attending college. The original script served as his senior thesis and still reflects the alienation and youthful yearning so many young people experience during this period; all set against the universal themes of political, social, and personal evolution.

Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement, Strong Medicine) also co-stars along with Jeremy Lond”

**WARNING** The trailer  is not rated by the MPAA. The material contains items of a graphic nature and mature theme.

Alex Meraz Gets Hard Time From Fan

It seems that someone was having a little trouble separating truth from fiction. According to E! a fan seemed to think Alex was actually Paul.

“Someone started yelling at me because they didn’t like my character,” Meraz told us last night at a Carrera Vintage Sunglasses party at the Chateau Marmont hotel.

“I play a bad boy, so she got mad at me,” he added. “She said, ‘I hate you, Paul!’ That was the craziest thing for me—being confused for a character.”

With any luck  this fan won’t stumble on any of the Volturi, we can only imagine her reaction.

Twilight Widower Blog

As I type this (this is Pel) I am sitting next to Be My Escape (who saw the entry the other day on Twicrack) and we have tears rolling down our face from laughing so hard. All we can say is now the guys who get all wrapped up in football, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc. and their wives and girlfriends  just don’t care, now you know what it’s like.

You really want to put down all liquids before reading or there’s a chance that you are going to short out your monitor. Just one of the gems from this blog:

It was an unusual evening at our house tonight. Claiming that my blog has “shamed her,” the Missus cooked dinner and did the dishes afterwards, before withdrawing behind her laptop. This may seem like a small thing, but it’s the most attention she’s paid me since she’s discovered Edward Cullen.

I felt she deserved a reward. (Positive reinforcement is the key to winning your woman back from the cold, grasping arms of that undead home wrecker).”
