Bella’s Prom Make-Up Breakdown

The make-up artist form the Twilight movie, Jeanne Van Phue, has finally revealed the secrets behind Bella’s prom looks.

Tips include using and electric eyelash curler. We’ve never heard of one of those before.  So what do electric ones look like?

“Van Phue curls the eyelashes with an electric eyelash curler: “It does not break your eyelashes or give them that strange, unnatural bend you get when using a conventional eyelash curler,” she said. She suggests electric curlers by Youberry or TouchBeauty. The curler has a straight wand and “is very easy to use. All you need to do is bend the eyelashes upward and hold.”

Noot Seear Interview In Style

Style interviews Noot Seear as she makes her leap from runway to silver screen. We had a chance to see Noot in San Diego, and she’s got a great personality. We were in the dead last group that the actors greeted the day (roughly 2,500 people), and by a landslide Noot was the perkiest of them all. She looked like she was having a blast getting to meet the fans.

According to Style:

“The history of the model-turned-actress is a checkered one, without a doubt. For every Charlotte Rampling or Penélope Cruz, there’s a Cindy Crawford in Fair Game, the sine qua non of bad career moves. The jury is still out on Noot Seear, but that’s only because Seear, an alum of countless runways and campaigns, won’t be seen in her first acting role until November. That’s when New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, is released—or, to put it another way, that’s when Noot Seear can expect to make the leap from model-turned-actress to paparazzi quarry…”

You can also catch Noot, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, and Rachelle Lefevre in teh September issue of Glamour magazine.

Melissa Rosenberg Interviewed on ET

ET: What can you tell us about ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’?

Melissa Rosenberg: It becomes bigger in scope. The first film was really a small romance in a way. There was the battle with James (Cam Gigandet) at the end. That was as big as it got. With ‘New Moon,’ we have the werewolf clan, we have the Vulturi — and in ‘Eclipse,’ there is an epic battle, so with every book, with every episode of the movie, it gets grander in scope, which is fun to write. What was great about that, too, is with the small story and the characters … to be able to grow with it and track it through, it has really been a great pleasure.

ET: Are you writing for the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart?

Melissa Rosenberg: When I wrote ‘Twilight,’ I didn’t know who was starring in it, so I wrote in a vacuum. There was some rewriting that had to be done when we knew who they were, because I had started with more of a comedic edge and it wasn’t appropriate for those actors and the tone. I lean toward the dark comedy, witness “Dexter.” So, going into ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse,’ I knew who I was writing for. I knew who the characters were and what their voices were. It got even easier with ‘Eclipse.’ [Author] Stephenie Meyer’s created the character’s chemistry; and those two actors brought so much chemistry. I don’t think the movies would have been so successful without those two actors and their chemistry. ‘Twilight’ was beautifully cast.

There is also a different written interview here.

The Vamps Are Back In Town

Just about everyone is covering the fact that the Eclipse cast is back in Vancity, AKA Vancouver.  Press, fans, paparazzi are all there.

The Vancouver Sun gives a rundown of the happenings, and gives a special shout out to hometown girl Jodelle Ferland who is in the movie as an unnamed newborn vampire. Most sources are speculating it’s the character or equivalent of Bree.

RadarOnline, EXTRA, everyone has pictures, too many to count.  Anyway to sum up the overabundnace of pictures, Nikki Reed, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Ashley Greene have some seriously cool handbags. However what made our day was this shot of Xavier Samuel. Seriously, we’re starting to wonder if it is a prerequisite to be a musician to be in this movie!

Twilight and Harry Potter Discussion

Last Saturday Laura (Pel) sat down with Melissa Anelli in the New York City Public Library (you know the famous one with the lions in front) to talk about Harry Potter, Twilight, and the fans experience especially as it relates to the Internet.  Melissa is the owner of the Harry Potter fansite, The Leaky Cauldron. She’s also written about her experiences in the Harry Potter fandom called “Harry A History.”

It was a fantastic discussion since Melissa and Laura are fans of both series, and both agreed that it’s not a competition between the two.

Jackie from EdwardCullen.net was on hand to watch the event:

“The highlights of this discussion were many. However, I tried to pick out the ones that I recorded and remembered. I probably will add up more because there were so many, but this is a fair few for now. These are not in any particular order, so enjoy! If anyone was at the discussion and would like to add their thoughts, please e-mail [email protected] and I will add it up!” You can read the rest here.

They were also able to capture on video (before the camera memory died) part of the discussion.

Melissa on reading Twilight while she was on a plane going to visit the set of one of the Harry Potter movies. Interesting tidbit is the person who was next to her asking what the heck she was reading so quickly was Andrew Sims of Mugglenet who now also operates Twilight Source.

Part of the discussion talking about author involvement and more.

Thank you so much to Jackie from Edward Cullen.net for coming!  Also look for the entire discussion to eventually be on a TLC podcast.

Volturi Ball Close Up

ReelzChannel has a close up of the amazing Volturi Ball that happened at TwiCon. You have to hand it to Twilight fans. When you give them a theme and tell them to dress to the nines, they know how to deliver!
