After hinting that he was up to something early in the day on Thursday by tweeting a picture of himself as Edward Cullen in the iconic tree pose, Jimmy Fallon didn’t disappoint on his late night show. For those of you unfamiliar with Jimmy Fallon’s act, it’s more rough-edge than Leno, Conan, or Letterman so use your judgment when clicking if that type of material isn’t your thing.

Eclipse Casting Rumor
Hard to say where this started first. The posting looks almost simultaneous.
Long and short of it: too early for official comment on the studio or actor’s part. This kind of thing genreally not confirmed until ink is way dry on contract. If you’re a huge name like a Brad Pitt you might comment early, but not a relative unknown. Our gut instinct leans yes because THR tends to get it right moreso than they get it wrong. Bottom line remains to be seen.
Ashley Greene Pitches on Alexa Chung
It seems like at every fan convention someone asks Ashley Greene if she can demonstrate the Twilight movie pitch. In the past Ashley has turned down the request because she’s either been in a dress or really tight pants that she was afraid of splitting. Well, finally on Alexa Chung, Ashley was in a pair of shorts, and she demonstrated using what we think are Nerf balls. She wasn’t bad considering the shorts were leather and she was wearing at least three-inch heels.
Not sure why embed code from MTV not working. The video is clearly there on the site and have tried twice(grrrr!). Direct link http://www.mtv.com/videos/misc/410657/ashley-greene-on-being-a-cullen.jhtml#id=1614005
Billy Burke IPhone App Launches
Billy Burke’s IPhone app has finally been launched. Rob Defraco’s 211 Me is the outlet that designed it. Rob is the guy who made the infamous Twitter bet with Peter Facinelli and then did the resulting bikini dance down Hollywood Blvd.
Billy’s app is pretty much set up the way Peter’s is. Some of the cool content includes exclusive photos, messages, and a locator of important locations in Billy’s life.
Hollywood.com: 15 Things About Robert Pattinson
Hollywood.com decided to do something interesting with their New Moon set visit. They broke it down into a list of 15 things that they noticed about Robert Pattinson while there. We loved this one the most:
“2. Like the rest of the cast, Pattinson’s canvas director’s chair had his character’s name (that would be “Edward Cullen”) embroidered on the backrest. On Robert’s chair, however, “Edward Cullen” was covered with yellow tape, on which “ROBERT” was written in bold black marker. Seems our fantasy boy likes to keep things “real.”

Hit Fix, Rotten Tomatoes, Etc Interview Chris Weitz
Hit Fix, Rotten Tomatoes, and several other mainstream entertainment websites had a fantastic interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz. They did an awesome job, asking some in depth questions.
Kudos to Greg from Hit Fix for bullet pointing out the key areas. Just some of the areas the interview covers:
*Even Weitz was surprised with how quickly Phil Tippet’s company turned around the Jacob wolf shot at the end of the first teaser trailer. The shot has gone through numerous iterations and is much more photorealistic than that version.
*He’ll be submitting a director’s cut of the film to Summit within the next two weeks.
*Alexandre Desplat is currently working on the movie’s score. It may include hints at Carter Burwell’s original “Twilight” theme, but will sound different.
*Thom Yorke and Kings of Leon are interested in contributing to the film’s soundtrack.
*A couple of new scenes from the film will be shown during the “New Moon” Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 25. NOTE THIS IS HIT FIX’S ERROR, panel on Thursday!
*The movie within a movie, “Facepunch,” will only be heard — not seen.
*Shooting in Italy with all of the fans that trekked across Europe to see the production was like Beatlemania.
*His vision of the Volturi is very much like the book and unlike a number of fan inspirations that have hit the web. He also sees them as having gone slightly insane after living for 2,000 years.
*He’s met with David Slade and expects the filmmaker’s vision for “Eclipse” to be different than what he’s doing with “New Moon,” but with the same actors and visual effects team.
*He’s flattered that fans want him to direct “Breaking Dawn” without seeing “New Moon,” but thinks the fans will want Slade to do it by the time “Eclipse comes out.
*Weitz needs to turn the film in by Oct. 30 to strike prints or if not, they are in “big trouble” to make the release date.

Meese Meets Stephenie Meyer
The band members of Meese are Twilight fans. They got the surprise of their lives the other night when Stephenie was at their Phoenix show.
“we’re playing our first show with The Fray in Phoenix two nights ago…when all of a sudden some says in passing really nonchalant “Yeah, the Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer is gonna be here tonight”. Then I had this split second indecision of “Should I try to play it cool and act like I meet super famous genius writers all the time? OR should I flip out and tell her what a big fan I am and get my picture taken with her?”… Stephenie was AWESOME. We got to hang out and chatted for a while! If it wasn’t for the fact that we had to go on stage to play, I probably would’ve tried to talk to her all night.”
The whole encounter is here on the Meese website. Also check out their music. Via Twilighters Anonymous
LA Times Has New New Moon Movie Photo
The LA Times describes behind the scenes shooting New Moon:
“Robert Pattinson is having an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment. Inside a soundstage where “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” is shooting, the lanky English heartthrob stands in front of a tall, wide green screen murmuring a tender admonition, “You promised me nothing reckless.” Motion capture cameras hurtle toward him across a length of track affixed to the stage floor, while a team of technicians studies his stance and the tilt of his head.
Kellan Lutz’s Generation Kill Receives Emmy Nomination
Kellan Lutz frequently speaks about how proud he was of his work on Generation Kill. The reason his hair is so short in the Twilight movies is because it had been buzz cut for his character in Generation Kill. Well Kellan now has a reason to be even more proud because the series has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
According to their PR kit: “Fused with camaraderie, faith and fury, Generation Kill brings a gritty, raw and brutally honest insider’s look at what has become of our contemporary American war. Based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Evan Wright, an embedded journalist working for Rolling Stone who rode alongside the Marines during the spring of 2003…”
Kellan played Corporal Jason Lilley in the series.
TY to ramel for the heads up. You can see Generation Kill on DVD.
