Robert Pattinson Related to Dracula?

According to ET:

“The Associated Press says researchers at Ancestry.com have connected Pattinson and the Transylvanian ruler through their relationship to the British royal family; the site claims Pattinson is a distant cousin of Princes Harry and William, who are distant nephews of Vlad the Impaler.

“Tracing Pattinson’s family back to Vlad was difficult research, but the pieces that unraveled created the perfect accompaniment to ‘The Twilight Saga,'” said Anastasia Tyler, a genealogist at Ancestry.com. “Without any myth or magic, we find royalty and vampires lurking in Pattinson’s life — making his story just as supernatural as the one he’s playing on screen.”

Entertainment Weekly To Feature Trio in Eclipse-Breaking Dawn Interview

Entertainment Weekly has a huge Eclipse issue planned and they have put a tidbit online:

“Entertainment Weekly sat down with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner for a feature interview running in this week’s magazine to discuss the world they inhabit within the Twilight universe — both on screen and off.  The three young stars opened up about coping under the glare of intense media spotlight, how they rely on one another to pull through, what they think of the upcoming final movie, Breaking Dawn, what lies ahead once the franchise wraps, and much more. In this preview, the three stars talk about gearing up for the final chapter of the saga that has changed each of their lives forever.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You guys are about to start shooting the two Breaking Dawn movies back to back. You signed on to this franchise before Breaking Dawn was written. When you read it, were you thinking, How is this going to be turned into a movie?
KRISTEN STEWART
: Yeah, definitely. What is Renesmee going to look like? Is it going to be this little teeth-baby running around? It’s going to be weird.
ROBERT PATTINSON:
[Laughs] “Little teeth-baby.”
STEWART:
Yeah, but I think it’s going to be cool. One of the main objectives of the series is to get Bella to a point where she’s mature enough to make such a hefty decision, and she goes through a lot. In the fourth one, she is going to become a wife. She is going to become a mom. She is going to become an adult and a vampire. To do it so young, it needs to be believable. So I’m really excited about playing that.”

See more on EW and by the issue starting June 25th for the full interview.

Hardbodies in Hollywood: Twilight Part of a Trend

taylor_rainMSN cites Twilight as part of a trend where stars have to tone their bodies to depths never before considered in the acting field.

“The Era of the Buffed Actor is upon us, which means no significant male leading role is exempted from the expectation that he have rippling biceps and six-pack abs. That’s Hollywood.

Whether it be Matt Damon in the “Bourne” films, Jake Gyllenhaal in “Prince of Persia,” Russell Crowe in “Robin Hood,” Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in the “Twilight” series, Robert Downey Jr. in the “Iron Man” pictures, or many others, flab is clearly not fab.

Actors in action or physically demanding roles are defined these days by their definition.”

Robert Pattinson: Heartthrob Vampire and Price of Fame

The Chronicle Herald of California seems to have gotten a lunch interview with arguabley the most sought after actor in the world right now. Go figure. But kudos to a smaller publication for getting the story.

He arrived for coffee wearing both a baseball cap and sunglasses to cover his floppy locks and haunting good looks, and he immediately vetoed a booth hand-picked by a publicist for its privacy as too public. “Kris is better about dealing with photographers than I am,” he said, referring to his equally sought after co-star, Kristen Stewart, after finally settling on an outdoor nook surrounded by tall hedges.

“I’ve learned to let it go a bit, but I’m still really bothered by it,” he said. “The more you are exposed, the more people irrationally hate you. I think we reached a point, a peak, with New Moon where the stories became so saturated into the culture that it started to feel normal. It’s like the tabloids don’t know what to write anymore because they’ve used up all their scandals.”
