Reaction to the Tease to the Breaking Dawn 2 Teaser

MTV asked Laura and others around teh fandom for their reaction to yesterday’s brief glimpse into the teaser (or as we’re calling it: The Tease to the Teaser…AKA, “Please Sir, can I have some more!”)

Here’s what Laura said to MTV:

Twilight Lexicon’s Laura Byrne-Cristiano also appreciated the very short seconds of tease but, like most of us, was left wanting more.

“Ten seconds wasn’t really enough to capture anything. We did see Bella running through the trees, but we couldn’t see her face in that brief snippet,” she said. “So, we got only a little of the Bella with vampire powers that I was hoping for. It was nice to see a reaction of Jacob and Edward to Bella, but I really would have been more satisfied if Bella herself (in particular her facial expressions) was more in the shot. I’m hoping we actually get to see her and not just her point of view in the full teaser.”

Five Things We Want in the Full Teaser

MTV has a rundown of things they are looking forward to in the full Breaking Dawn teaser:

Arm Wrestling and Other Bella-as-a-Vampire Scenes
So Bella is a vampire now. Hopefully that doesn’t surprise anyone at this point, since everyone who saw “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” got a little sneak peek of those freaky-colored eyes of hers. As such, we should see a whole new side of Bella in this movie, including an arm wrestling match with Emmett. “I am hoping to see some vampire action in the full trailer,” Mathews said. “There are some great training scenes from the book I hope they include, as well as some great cottage scenes with Bella and Edward! I expect to see lots of Bella as a vampire, and I’m OK with that!”

Check out the full list here. Do you agree with their choices?

Meet the Real Cullens

Amanda Bell, the Twilight Examiner, brought this to our attention.  A couple was married on Feb. 5 in a wedding that recreated Bella and Edward’s wedding.  She was the first bride to wear the same gown Bella wore and the couple even changed their last name to Cullen!  Read the whole story at the Examiner’s site.  And let us know in the comments what you think of the way this couple has chosen to show their devotion to The Twilight Saga.

Vote for One Less Nemesis

We don’t often do things like this but we have a very personal connection to this one.  Our very hard working PR manager, Shelley Harper aka SomethingBlue, is co-owner of a t-shirt company called One Less Nemesis. You may have seen them at a Twilight Convention or even on a Twilight cast member, like Tinsel Korey! The company’s shirts are all about taking out whoever your rival might be!  If you are a vamp fan, then your nemesis is the werewolf.  If you are in the wolf pack, then you take out the vamps.

If competition is the spice of life, we’re the hot sauce. Our t-shirt designs are completely original and printed on the softest cotton tees we can find. We’re based in Seattle, but our artists are from all over.

OLN is currently in a competition called Tee Madness 2012.  You can vote once per round, and round one ends March 21 at 8 pm EST.  OLN is up against Perfect Chaos Clothing.  If you want to vote for OLN, you can find their box on the right hand side, five boxes down.  Look for OLN and PCC and vote for OLN!

Thank you for everything that you’ve done for us, Shelley!

Rob Pattinson on Shirtless Acting and Comedies

Over the last few days  I’ve watched as story after story popped up about the statement Rob Pattinson made to Reveal Magazine about shirtless acting.  I’ve been waiting for an actual link to the story because we like to credit  the actual source, but so far I’m coming up short.  What I do find is quote after quote from the article and a mass amount of people assuming that Rob was slamming Taylor Lautner for taking his shirt off.  Here is what Rob said:

“It seems like every single actor in the world is doing a Taylor Lautner scene. It’s crazy. They have a scene where they walk out with a 12-pack. It’s like, ‘Really? You’re playing a normal guy. That doesn’t make any sense.”

To me, this isn’t a dig at Taylor but rather a dig at everyone else in the industry trying to pull off a shirtless scene the way Taylor has done.  Do you agree with me?  Let me know in the comments.

Rob also commented on why he’s never hosted SNL or done a comedy film.

“Doing comedy is impossible. I would be terrible. People have asked me to do things likeSaturday Night Live, and there is just no way, not in a million years. That’s just way too scary.”

Actually, one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen from anyone in the Twilight Saga was when Rob joined Jimmy Fallon in the tree.

Lastly, Rob spoke about his “wild” days and how he’s changed.

“I used to not care about what anyone thought about anything. Now I’m forced into thinking about things if I want to have a career. Maybe it’s because I’m older.”

”I used to be a little bit wilder, but it’s difficult to do that now. I used to want to do the craziest things, as I had no understanding that I had an audience. All I wanted to do was weird stuff, but it’s different now – people have an expectation. You have to think about things objectively.”

What do you think?  Do you feel Rob has changed over the years?  Do you think he’s less wild now than what he was before?  Tell us in the comments.
