Collider: Michael Sheen Talks Breaking Dawn and Bill Condon

Collider has one of the better Michael Sheen interviews that we’ve seen where they’ve really got him talking about Breaking Dawn.

“What can you say about what you’ll be doing in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn?

MICHAEL SHEEN: It’s the same part that I played before – Aro.

Was there anything you got to discover in playing him this time around, that you hadn’t learned the last time you played him?

SHEEN: He’s more of a presence in these films than he was in New Moon, so I got to explore the character a bit more and probably fleshed it out a bit more. I don’t think that there’s anything that I learned. I just was able to go into the insanity of the character a bit more. I got to show what’s under the surface a bit more this time, which was fun.”

Michael Sheen: Breaking Dawn II Confrontation Scene With Volturi Won’t Be Anticlimactic

This is pretty big coming from Michael Sheen. Just from his experience in the Underworld and Tron movies, he has a keen understanding of what makes a good movie climax in a fantasy film. So what do you think of this news?

Saoirse Ronan Chats With Glamour UK and Mentions The Host

We have to give kudos to TwiMoms for figuring this one out and jumping on it. Saoirse Ronan did a Twitter chat with Glamour UK starting at around 9:00am eastern time when many US fans were not up or not near computers.  Here are questions that TM’s asked and us asked trying to get some Host type info out of Saoirse. We will update this post with more info as the chat progresses.

Question from  @TwilightMOMS What do you think of playing Melanie & Wanderer from The Host?

Answer Saoirse: I’d love to be involved. Let’s hope.

Question @TwilightLexicon: What do you like about roles that are more physical like Hanna and Ember?

Answer: It makes me feel better about not exercising between roles.

Question Unknown Account: What did the cast do to get into the mindset of living rough (on Hanna)?

Answer: We trained in the wilderness in -30. That was rough enough.

Question Unknown Account (important because this would have been a HUGE conflict and was still listed on the IMDB): Are you doing The Hobbit?

Answer: I’ve been asked about doing The Hobbit- unfortunately I won’t be able to do it. It breaks my heart. I love Bilbo & NZ.

You can follow Saoirse Ronan on Twitter here http://twitter.com/#!/saoirse_ronan she confirmed that this was actually her account during the last moments of the chat.

Twilight Makes Best Movie Love Triangles List

The Female First site in the UK picked Twilight to top their list:

“Twilight: Not easy to choose between a bare chested wolfman and a glittering vampire – especially when they fight so well over you in a two man tent; while you are sleeping.

The Twilight Saga has taken the world by story as Stephenie Meyers’ novels have been adapted for the big screen – are you Team Edward? or Team Jacob?”

Male TwiHard Highlights MTV Movie Awards Omissions

BryceeclipseThe Male TwiHard blogger on Next Movie is talking about some of the omissions for Twilight actors in the MTV Movie awards. The two that really stuck out to us were Best Villain and Best Line in a Movie. Here’s what the Male TwiHard had to say.

“The most glaring omission is here is that neither Bryce Dallas Howard nor Xavier Samuel were nominated for Best Villian, a category where “Gossip Girl” Leighton Meester made the cut for remaking “Single White Female.” It’s not easy taking over a character from another actress — fans are always going to compare you to the previous version — but Howard owned Victoria like I own the acne on my back. I don’t even remember Rachelle Lefevre’s name (I looked it up, okay?). And Samuel, he is nominated for Breakout Star, but why not here too? Tom Felton’s Draco is the Easter Bunny next to Samuel’s Riley.

Then there’s Best Line From a Movie. Perhaps because the first two “Twilight” films gave us so many great lines, the members of the MTV Movies Awards Academy have just come to expect it. What about Edward’s line: “Bella, would you please stop trying to take your clothes off?” Not only is that hilarious, it more or less sums up the entire “Twilight Saga” in one sentence. Yet here is where the MTV Academy chose to honor “Grown Ups” for the line “I want to get chocolate wasted.” Clearly, they were chocolate wasted.”

Saoirse Ronan: Action Star Experience

Considering what Melanie/Wanderer has to do physically in The Host, Saoirse Ronan definitely has done physically demanding roles. Lots of people know her from Atonement and The Lovely Bones, but she’s also currently starring in Hanna.

Stephenie Meyer to Attend Cannes Film Festival to Promote The Host

Deadline New York ( which is usually very reliable) has the scoop:

“Saoirse Ronan has been set to star in The Host, the screen adaptation of the bestselling novel by Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer. Scripted by Andrew Niccol, the film figures to be one of the hot titles when Inferno launches sales at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival next week. Niccol, who was originally set to direct, might resurface as the filmmaker…

The concept is more of a visual challenge than Meyer’s Twilight Saga books, but one thing they plan is for Ronan to play both Melanie and Wanderer…

Niccol wrote the script to direct, but left to direct Now with Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy. Nanny McPhee Returns director Susanna White was briefly attached, but that isn’t happening. Niccol, now done with his film, is once again in the mix as possible helmer. Inferno’s Marc Butan, Jim Seibel, Bill Johnson are exec producing and Roger Schwartz is co-producer. The film’s being funded by the producers and Inferno.”

So what do you think of Saoirse Ronan being in The Host, and for the million dollar question, Melanie/Wanderer, and exactly HOW are they going to do that? This is a really interesting turn of events because Saoirse Ronan literally just lost out on another major movie role: Katniss in The Hunger Games. That role went to Jennifer Lawrence amidst much fan controversy.
