Peter Facinelli: Accidentally In Love, a Valentine to Jennie

ET is covering the backstory on how the Hallmark Channel film Accidentally in Love, written by Peter Facinelli, came about.

“Peter Facinelli has his three daughters with Jennie Garth to thank for the inspiration behind “Accidentally in Love,” the romantic Valentine’s Day tale he wrote for his wife of 10 years.

“I originally wrote this script for maybe me and my wife to play it, but then I got a little busy. I was doing press on [‘The Twilight Saga:] Eclipse’ at the time it was shooting, and I had no time to act in the film,” Peter says. “I also worried that this would become the Jennie Garth/Peter Facinelli movie instead of a film with two characters. Our playing together could have detracted from the believability of the story and become a distraction. So I took a step back and let my wife kiss someone else.”

Twilight Makes CNN’s Most Iconic Movie Kisses

CNN has a list of what they consider to be the most iconic movie kisses. There are some oldies like Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable and Scarlett and Rhett from Gone With the Wind to modern ones like Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet in Titanic.

“”Twilight”

Even the most diehard members of Team Jacob can’t deny the romantic power of Bella and Edward’s first kiss. Kristen Stewart — who’s almost uniformly closemouthed about her off-screen relationship with costar Robert Pattinson — did offer “I get to kiss Edward Cullen,” when asked to name a few of her favorite things about the gig.”

Susanna White to Direct The Host

Variety got the scoop!

Susanna White (“Nanny McPhee Returns”) is attached to direct the feature adaptation of “The Host,” author Stephenie Meyer’s follow-up to “The Twilight Saga.”

Nick Wechsler will produce the indie through his eponymous banner, along with Chockstone Pictures’ Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz.”

This is a change from Andrew Nichol, who was originally set as the writer/director. Note there are some websites claiming that production is starting this spring, that has not been confirmed. In our opinion, we would not think the production will really get underway until May, at the earliest, as Stephenie Meyer is fully embroiled with Breaking Dawn filming until then. She has been hands on with the Twilight Saga movies and most likely would have the same clout on The Host movie, especially since it’s a small indie company doing the project.

Of particular note is the Twilight connection. Susanna directed Generation Kill that co-starred Kellan Lutz. Kellan’s name has long been suggested by fans as a contender for Jared and Ian.

This film will depend on a sense of CGI, a love of romance and action. Check out this Susanna interview. It seems like she might have it all.

Kristen Stewart Lands Kid’s Choice Awards 2011 Nomination

Kristen Stewart has the only Twilight related nomination in this year’s Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. Yes, you read that correctly, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner did not make the cut. Also not making the cut in the favorite book category was the Bree Tanner novella. According to On the Red Carpet, here are the nominees in Kristen’s category:

“Favorite Movie Actress
Miley Cyrus (“The Last Song”)
Ashley Judd (“Tooth Fairy”)
Kristen Stewart (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”)
Emma Watson (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1″)”

Given that it’s the Kid’s Choice and not the Teen Choice awards, look out for Miley Cyrus to bring the strongest competition. It’s not a Twilight vs. Harry Potter showdown, per-say. It’s more like a three way battle with Miley leading the charge.

Last year you may remember that New Moon made a big splash at the Kids Choice Awards with Taylor Lautner being named favorite movie actor. (See photo gallery from last year).

Head over here to vote. The show airs live from the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET.

Twilight Cast Packing Out and Heading to Vancouver

The Twilight cast have roughly a week’s worth of filming left in Baton Rogue (barring any unforeseen delays). They are then heading up to Vancouver (as the Vancouver Sun reports)where they will be filming what is assumed to be mostly exterior work. (photo via Twifans)

Both the Bella’s House location and the Jacob’s House location are anticipated. Fans however shouldn’t bank on being able to actually see any filming though. The Bella’s house location is in the middle of a long roadway with deep woods flanking it on all sides. The production in the past has blocked access on filming days. Though, the house is easy enough to see when there isn’t filming.

The same is essentially true with the Jacob’s house location. Instead of it being in the middle of a roadway, it’s a corner property. However, the barriers (in the past) have been such that no one was really able to see anything. The only exception were photographers who managed to snag a cherry picker. During the Eclipse shoot they were lifted just high enough to get an obstructed view of the wolfpack in bathrobes between takes. That incident actually freaked Bronson Pelletier out as he explained at one of the Creation Entertainment Twilight Conventions. The photographers were using laser devices to presumably judge the distance of their shots. Well, imagine the reaction when a small red dot from a beam of light landed on Bronson’s chest. Though harmless, the high-tech, laser sighting looks exactly like the rifle scopes portrayed in movies.

We’ve reported before on how there has been essentially no news or photographs coming out of Baton Rogue. With a corp of entertainment photographers, paparazzi, and press based in Vancouver, this will likely change. Baton Rogue has been very, very laid back. Almost unbelievably, the cast has been out numerous times to clubs/dinner without a bevvy of followers, lookers-on, press, etc. They have come in and out of the airport, tweeted departure times, and almost no one has gotten an airport photo.

It’s a different culture in Vancouver, they’ve had a thriving movie and TV industry for years, there is a large base of tipsters, photogs, etc based there 24/7. Count on a series of airport arrival shots, and that’s just for starters. With apologies to the Wizard of OZ, we have a message for the new cast members heading north “Welcome to Vancouver new vampires, you’re not in Kansas anymore!”

Kellan Lutz Returns to Louisiana Hospital

About a month ago, Kellan Lutz and several Twilight castmates visited the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rogue. Kellan went back yesterday to play with the kids and to sign autographs. Kellan tweeted a photo of the event and there are more photos on the hospital’s facebook page.
