Peter Facinelli Clarifies the Eff-Bomb Explosion

peterpremierePeter Facinelli sent Entertainment Weekly a statement regarding his Eff-bomb laden acceptance speech for New Moon winning Movie of the Year at the MTV Movie Awards:

“My acceptance speech was meant as a satirical commentary to poke fun at the record breaking number of f-bombs dropped during the show. Secretly, I hope that David Mamet tuned in last night in case he’s prepping a revival of Glengarry Glen Ross.”

MTV’s statement read as follows: “The MTV Movie Awards is a live televised event known for irreverent comedy and a party atmosphere where our guests speak more freely than they otherwise might. While we aired the live broadcast with a delay, we were unable to mute every word that some might find objectionable.  All of these words will be muted in subsequent airings. We sincerely apologize to those in our audience who were offended by any objectionable words that might have slipped by for the live airing.”

In related news regarding the show. Reuters cites that viewers were way down: “The “Twilight” stars, Tom Cruise’s funky dance moves and a rainstorm of f-bombs could not stop the MTV Movie Awards from suffering a 13 percent drop in viewership, according to data issued on Monday. The two-hour ceremony averaged 4.6 million viewers on Sunday, down from 5.3 million for last year’s installment, which was the show’s biggest audience since 2004.”

USA Today Gives a Thumbs Up to the Eclipse Soundtrack

soundrtrackcovereUSA Today talks about the broad appeal of the Eclipse Soundtrack which is out today!

“The indie pop collected for the soundtrack to ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ should appeal to a broad range of music fans.

With sales of the first two Twilight soundtracks at 3.6 million copies, it’s no surprise some 400 songs were submitted for the third set by artists eager to hop on a hot franchise.

Producer Alexandra Patsavas pruned the heap to 15 congruous originals that admirably maintain a dignified creative independence while conveying the gray, swoony tones of Stephenie Meyer‘s teen vampire romance. In other words, indie-rock snobs can buy the CD without fear of social stigma.”

Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, and Ashley Greene To Do Moviefone’s Unscripted

AshelyNikkiKellanmoviefone

In the past we’ve seen Moviefone unscripted with Stephenie Meyer, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson for Twilight and with the Volturi for New Moon. Now it’s Kellan, Nikki, and Ashley’s turn. According to Moviefone:

“Hold out a little longer Twihards, the latest installment of ‘Twilight’ is almost here! ‘Eclipse’ swoops into theaters June 30, and its stars Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale) and Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) will be taking your questions for a new session of Unscripted.

In the newest flick, the Cullens team up with the werewolf pack to stop a newborn vampire army.

On Saturday, June 12, the Cullen kids will be stopping by our Moviefone Unscripted studio to ask each other questions submitted by you.

You can ask them anything from their favorite behind-the-scenes moment to what it was like teaming up with the werewolves. Just make sure to submit your questions by Fri., June 11 at 12PM ET”

So go to Moviefone and leave your questions there.

Edited: They are also asking Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart fan questions at the press junket, but that is not part of Unscripted.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner Now Online

BreeTannerThe sound you hear are English fluent fans who live outside the USA in countries where the Bree Tanner novella doesn’t come out in their native languages for a few months. They are screaming because now they can read what the rest of us had a few days ago. Also screaming are fans who (let’s face it, the economy is down) were not able to purchase the book.

To ensure that you are getting a legitimate, virus free version of the book, only read it directly from the Bree Tanner official site!

According to the site, “This site will be live from noon EST on June 7th until midnight EST on July 5th. Please keep in mind that you can only read the book here – you won’t be able to download it to your e-reader or phone. And you can’t print it out.” For those of your emailing in asking why the text is too small to read, see the diagram below.

We would be stunned if the site is not slow today due to global demand, so please be patient!

Happy reading all. Please stop by and discuss the book on our forum!
