Comic Con Schedule Revealed.

The organizers of Comic Con just released the master schedule for the four-day event. The Twilight panel will take place as previously announced on Thursday, July 23rd.

****Note Time Change**** The panel will be held in Hall H at 1:45.

For those of you who are Comic Con newbies, remember that a Comic Con ticket guarantees you entrance to the building on a given day, but not necessarily a particular presentation. It’s first come first served. So get to the hall early and stay there if you want to be guaranteed to see the Twilight Saga: New Moon panel.

Catherine Hardwicke in Reuters

Catherine Hardwicke tell Reuters what life has been like since Twilight:

Q: “Twilight” cost $37 million and made nearly $382 million worldwide. Do you feel pressure to top yourself?

A: “I don’t think that’s possible, and I don’t think that’s a healthy way to think. “Twilight” was a phenomenon — the stars just aligned on that film. Thank God (director) Ridley Scott didn’t stop after “Blade Runner.” He made “Thelma and Louise” and “Gladiator” and a million other interesting movies. I still want to make other good films that won’t lose money.”

Q: How have things changed for you since “Twilight”?

A: “Right now I can say in a meeting: ‘Well on ‘Twilight’ this is how we did it and this is how we made it work.’ And people go, ‘Oh wow, that movie made money.’ They listen to me a little bit more than before.”

EXTRA Compares & Contrasts Twilight and True Blood

Twilight Meets LOL Speak

Lexiconers Hailish and ForJazz began a website called TwiLOL.com, which combines the idea behind the ever-popular icanhascheezburger.com and the Twilight Saga.

In short, they translated the entire saga (the important scenes, at least) into lolspeak, and made little banners for each scene.  They post a new LOL every day – and are almost halfway through Twilight currently.  It’s all in good fun – they are both avid Twilight fans and love everything having to do with it.  They have all the books, the movie and other random items. Check it out for a good laugh.

Another Cover Shot For Robert Pattinson

Mark Malkin over at E! has unearthed the following information:

Robert Pattinson has another magazine cover coming up—and thankfully, it’s not some far-fetched tabloid bullcrap this time around.

Mr. Pattinson, I’m told, has landed himself on the cover of probably the most coveted of monthlies—Vanity Fair!”

You can check out Mark’s full story on E!.

E! Also has the details on the Teen choice awards where Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene are confirmed as presenters and Robert Pattinson (barring filming issues) is also rumored to be there.

Twilight may have been ignored at the Oscars, Golden Globes and the like, but the vampire movie is scoring where it really counts—with the kids!

The Robert Pattinson romance earned an even dozen 2009 Teen Choice Award nominations, including Choice Movie: Drama and Choice Movie: Romance.”

Peter Facinelli: Add Carpenter to His Talents

According to Wenn, Peter Facinelli told People Magazine:

“I made my wife a big, beautiful birdcage, and I made a huge swing set in our house with a trap door and a sandbox.”

Is there anything that Peter doesn’t do? Never mind Edward Cullen, husbands and boyfriends are going to have trouble living up to Peter Facinelli!

Twilight Saga Books Continue Sales Domination

According to USA Today:

“Vampires won’t let go. Just as they did in the first quarter, Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight novels continued to dominate USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list in the second quarter — selling in the same order as they did in the first three months of the year.

Top 20 sellers for the second quarter
1. New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
2. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
3. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
4. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer”

With New Moon coming out this fall, Eclipse coming out next summer, and meeting more and more people who only just discovered Twilight recently, we predict that the phenomena is going to continue for at least another year. TY to Shannon for the heads up.

Newly Unearthed Robert Pattinson Photoshoot

This just in from US Weekly:

“11 days before Twilight premiered — photographer Theo Wenner spent five hours in NYC snapping photos of Robert Pattinson for Rolling Stone magazine. This week’s issue of Us Weekly (on stands nationwide this Friday) features a 6 page exclusive with never-before-seen photos from the secret shoot.”

It’s really nice to see Rob looking relaxed at a photoshoot before all the mayhem started. What do you think?

Exclusive New Moon Peak

OK, we have to hand it to the marketing guys on this one because there has been no promise of this also being available online. Summit is going to give a sneak to New Moon (not just the previously seen New Moon trailer) in front of Bandslam.

From what we can tell based on contact with the Spanish language site Crepusculo Meyer, the same seems true in various Spanish speaking venues.

According to Summit: “Mark your calendars for August 14 for an exclusive trailer of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, which can only be viewed in theatres in front of BANDSLAM!

The exclusive trailer will run in front of all showings of BANDSLAM during its opening weekend.

BANDSLAM, a music-driven comedy starring Vanessa Hudgens, Aly Michalka and Gaelen Connell, opens nationwide on August 14.”
