Rumor Control: No Twilight Video Game In the Works

Yes, we know that Bronson Pelletier at a red carpet event talked about being in a motion capture suit and that he thought it was for a video game. Turns out he was wrong. Summit Entertainment has confirmed for us that, “There is no video game featuring the world of THE TWILIGHT SAGA currently in development.”

We are guessing that the motion capture suit was for CGI for the actual film rather than a video game.

This didn’t surprise us too much in that there haven’t been games for the previous movies and traditionally female-driven fandoms tend not to get video games. The largest gaming element is male teens-30′s, and since that isn’t exactly the Twilight demographic, games are unlikely.

Abduction VIP Fan Premiere

VIP Fan Premieres for Abduction will be taking place in several US cites on Sept. 15, 2011.  You can join the event by buying a $30 ticket which not only gets you into the film early but also includes a decent prize pack of the items pictured below.  Tickets go on sale Sept. 12, and we’re guessing they will sell out quickly.  Please note that none of the information we’ve seen states that Taylor Lautner will be at any of these events.  So don’t spend money thinking that a “premiere” means that Taylor will be in attendance.   But you would still get to see the film ahead of it’s national release as well as walk away with some great merch!

The event is taking place in the following cities:

Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburg, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC.

Peter Facinelli to Sign Autographs in Indiana for Charity

Everyone’s favorite vampire doctor is heading to Ft. Wayne, IN to help raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Peter spoke to JournalGazett.com about the charity and about the fans.

“I want to spread awareness,” Facinelli says. “When I learned about the organization, it really moved me that Alex’s parents were able to rise above their grief and help other people. So with these autograph signings – the fans seem to have a good time, the organization benefits and everyone wins.”

“Whenever I talk with fans who know me as Carlisle, it is a really humbling experience,” Facinelli says. “I’ve had fans come up to me and they just don’t speak, which always surprises me. I want to tell them, ‘Don’t be shy. I’m just like you. I’m a fan of these books – and this character – just as much as you are.’ ”

The event will take place on Saturday at the Jefferson Point shopping mall.  We’re not sure of the time, so if you have those details please drop us an e-mail or leave a comment so we can spread the news.

Here are some details about the event. TY to Cathy for the link!

Breaking Dawn Promo Material

We originally saw these a few days ago on RobstenDreams and sent out a query to Summit Ent. for confirmation that these were legit before we ran any information.  Our source at Summit said that these were international in-theatre items.  We still don’t know if theatre concession stands here in the US will be selling the same products or if ours will look different.  But for now, this is what we have to go on.  Tell us what you think of the look of the products in the comments!
