Anya Marina tells Chop Shop what it’s like to realize you’re being considered for and then getting on the New Moon soundtrack. Anya’s ‘Satellite Heart.’ debuted earlier this week exclusively through MySpace, and you can listen to it at www.myspace.com/anyamarina. Suffice it to say, the movie was great and I got really inspired to adapt a new song I’d been working on to suit Bella and Edward and their whole drama. I got together with my friend, producer [and mixer on Slow & Steady…] Ken Andrews, and we recorded a pretty mean version of a new song called “Satellite Heart.””

Over the last several months the Lexicon has been very fortunate to attend several of the Official Twilight Conventions run by Creation Entertainment. At every one of the events we have Tweeted about the Q&A sessions given by the various actors. We Tweeted both on Pel’s account and the main Lexicon account August 28-30.
The last convention we attended in New Jersey had Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, and Kiowa Gordon all on stage at the same time telling many funny and personal stories about their experiences on set while filming The Twilight Saga: New Moon. And as always, we Tweeted all about it.
Thanks to Creation, we were fortunate enough, to able to get the pack members to sign several glossy pictures of themselves. In all, we left that convention with five individual autographed 8X10 glossy photos. And the good news is that we want to repay you all for following our Tweets by giving these photos away.
Every Wednesday over the next four weeks we will post a trivia question pertaining to information that we gave on twitter during the convention while the wolf pack was on stage. Remember that they were on stage TWICE, so we have two hours worth of twitter information to pull from. If you know the correct answer, reply to the post with your answer and we will choose one winner at random at the end of the day. Make sure you spell your email address correctly when you post your comment so we can get in touch if you win. Anyone can participate from anywhere in the world. we don’t care if the winner is on the Antarctic science station. we’ll get your photo to you no matter what continent you live on.

John Henson had a room to himself at the Eye-con convention where his collection was dubbed “the Twilight Museum”. Here’s how John describes some of it.
“Bella’s birthday party replicas, as seen in the upcoming NEW MOON parody by THE HILLYWOOD SHOW. Bella’s custom green taffeta dress with black rose flocking (Not the NECA replica), Alice’s deep purple dress, Rosalie’s dramatic black gown and Esme’s frilly pink/lavender party frock. On the table is a sign announcing the upcoming NEW MOON parody, along with a few other pieces like Rosalie’s VINCE CAMUTO pumps (which are usually displayed with her NANETTE LEPORE blazer she wears in the cafeteria scene and in promo shots, but didn’t come to Orlando), Bella’s green “kangaroo” hoodie from the treetop scene and Rose’s slouch hat from the aforementioned cafeteria scene.”
We saw John’s collection up close in Atlanta and his originals and replicas are fantastic. John has a super eye for detail. Seriously, the man gets the undershirts right; that’s dedication. John’s collection is going on the road to Australia. Check out his blog for full details.

“When a professional knitter and a movie critic live in the same household, there’s bound to be some crossover. In our house, that convergence takes form as “Movie Mondays” on my blog. Every week I post screenshots of the knitwear I spot in one of the many flicks we’re watching — we’ve become veritable eagle eyes of Silver Screen yarn; my sons even commenting when a beanie or blanket flashes across the television. Recently, while researching Twilight for his movie news website, smellslikescreenspirit.com, my husband came across this photo still of Alice wearing fingerless mitts in the upcoming sequel, New Moon. Enter this project: simple wrist warmers for a complicated girl!”
Holloywood.com was able to go in depth with Charlie Bewley about his past and his future hopes:
“Charlie Bewley won’t say how old he is.
He also won’t elaborate on the details of his seemingly scandal-heavy past, which he alludes to frequently, nebulously describing it as “erratic, risky, bread-line. High highs, low lows.” In passing, he mentions turbulent romances and family dramas, and says he doesn’t really drink anymore, but keeps mum on the reasons why. He is decidedly mysterious.
“I have to be,” Bewley says.
What’s known is that Bewley is a British expat who worked several snow seasons in ski mecca Whistler after immigrating to Canada several years ago. For a time, he supported himself by driving a cab (“I had the most money out of all my friends”) and later moved to Vancouver, a two-ish-hour drive from Whistler, to pursue his acting career. The choice necessitated another move to Los Angeles in September of this year.
This is, of course, because Bewley plays the Volturi vampire Demetri in the upcoming New Moon, the second installment of the culturally permeating Twilight Saga series.”

Shaunna Cross who recently wrote the screenplay Whip It based on her own novel Derby Girl. Collider was able to do a brief Q&A with Shaunna about the project.:
“According to Cross, she’s not exactly sure where the project falls into Hardwicke’s schedule as the director is developing both “Hamlet” and the “Red Riding Hood” project at Warner Bros. But with Cross telling us they’re going to go out for casting soon, that probably means whichever film gets the financing together first, that’s the one Hardwicke will do.
If you’ve ever wondered why a director attaches themselves multiple projects, this is the reason. You can have a great script with a great cast, but if the money isn’t there, it’s not getting made. So what directors do is develop many films at once and whichever one gets the money gets made.”
