Breaking Dawn on EW’s Fall Movie Preview Cover

Breaking Dawn is on the cover of this week’s EW. Bill Condon is quoted in a preview of what is to come in the issue:

“The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Bill Condon tells EW. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

Check out EW and grab the issue this Friday on newsstands.

From our standpoint: Bravo, Mr. Condon, bravo. We are looking forward to the final chapter in a film we have been covering since 2008 and a book series we have been covering since 2006 when people said “What’s Twilight?” and “Stephenie who?” We can’t wait to see the final installment from actors, production team, and everyone who has given years to this.

Kristen Stewart Issues Official Statement Regarding US Weekly Photos

Usually we don’t really cover things like this, but since Kristen Stewart has issued an official statement(it has been verified as authentic) we are. Earlier today US Weekly published photos of Kristen Stewart in a compromising position with her married, Snow White and the Huntsman director(edited: as has he). The statement was given to People Magazine, which we believe is a sister company to US Weekly.

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry,” Stewart said in a statement Wednesday. “

Jodie Foster Says She Should Have Asked Kristen Stewart For Comic Con Advice

Jodie Foster was at Comic Con for the first time this year promoting Elysium she told Access Hollywood.

“[Kristen] really should’ve given me some tips,” Jodie told Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz with a laugh, at the convention in San Diego. “She’s doing great. I just saw ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ which I thought was extraordinary and I thought she was absolutely brilliant in.”

The “Breaking Dawn” beauty, now 22, was just 12 years old when she played Jodie’s on-screen daughter back in 2002, and Jodie said she’s watched Kristen’s career grow with a bit of maternal pride.

“I’m proud of her,” she said. “I feel like she’s my daughter too!”

Kristen Stewart: The Face of Florabotanica

Kristen Stewart was recently chosen as  the face of Balenciaga Paris’ new women’s scent, Florabotanica, which is due out in September.  In an article for WWD, Kristen and the perfume’s creator commented on the photo shoot:

The advertising photo shoot set was decorated with 3-D metal sculptures looking like elements of a floral print Ghesquière made a couple of years ago.

“It’s the reality that looks artificial,” said Ghesquière. “I think it was quite interesting.”

In the print campaign photographed by Steven Meisel, Stewart — wearing a dress from the flower collection — stands fairly straight-legged, with her hands in her pockets.

“I think that’s kind of perfect for this particular ad. Usually, a fragrance ad would definitely be like,” said Stewart, striking an exaggerated, sexy lounge pose on the couch. “When I first stood there, I was like, ‘OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that?’ And they were like, ‘Just be comfortable.’?”

Leave us a comment – what do you think of the way the add turned out? You can read more at WWD.

Kristen Stewart Tops Forbes List as Highest Paid Actress

At 22 years old, Kristen Stewart has become the youngest actress to top Forbes annual list of the highest-paid celebrities.   This is certainly something for Kristen to be proud of since the next youngest actress on the list is 38 year old Kristen Wigg.  And when you consider that Angelina Jolie was at the top of this list last year, then Stewart is certainly in good company.  From Forbes:

To determine who the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood are, we considered upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work. We talked to manager, agents, lawyers and other in-the-know folks to come up with our estimates. We did not deduct for things like agent fees or the expenses related to being a celebrity.

Stewart’s earnings between May 2011 and May 2012 totaled $34.5 million, helping her [also] rank 43rd on our Celebrity 100 list.

Kristen Stewart Vanity Fair Interview Video

Warning language, but a look at part of her Twilight life.

Details on how to get the magazine issue here.

Our favorite quote from the article is this:

Me and Rob got into a lot of trouble,” she told me with a smile. “We wanted it to be not so polished. Catherine was all for that. But we were getting notes from the studio. They wanted me to smile all the time. They wanted Rob to be not so brooding. We were like, ‘No! You need to brood your ass off.‘” A worldwide box-office take of almost 400$ million certainly proved that the audience was ready for an unsmiling Bella and a brooding Edward. The fact that emotionally involved fans have taken the films so personally has only increased the sense of responsibility Stewart already felt to her character, to the point where Bill Condon, the director of the last two installments, affectionately calls her the “Twilight-book Nazi,” because her commitment to staying faithful to the novel.”
