Robert Pattinson’s whirlwind Cannes experience is now over. He has landed in Italy and will await the arrival of Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, and presumably Dakota Fanning, Charlie Bewley, and Daniel Cudmore to shoot the the exterior Volterra scenes in Montepulciano.

It remains to be seen whether or not any interiors are shot since Michael Sheen and Jamie Campbell Bower both Tweeted awhile back that they wrapped shooting. Michael also commented to a reporter in Wales this week that he had finished shooting New Moon. An even better indicator of whether or not they are shooting New Moon interiors may be Justine Wachsberger who tonight is appearing on Vamp Talk Radio. Presumably, as Gianna, she is only involved in the interior scenes. So, if she’s talking about having finished filming tonight, it looks like they are pretty much sticking to outdoors.
Speaking of Twitter, ET’s Thea Andrews Tweeted, “Just got word of another top secret mission for an ET on-set exclusive. Booking my ticket to Europe. Sworn to secrecy on this one for now…” So it looks like ET will again be on the set.
