New Moon Trailer in HD

I’ve never been one of those big “see it in HD” or “have to get it on Blu-ray” kind of people.  Seriously, I even like scratchy vinyl recordings. However, I think I just gained an appreciation of what all the fuss is about. The difference in Hi-Def is amazing!

Michael Sheen to Be Honored By Queen

Michael Sheen is receiving a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire award, specifially an OBE which gives him the rank of officer.  The  Queen will be conferring this honor at Buckingham Palace.  Where Michael will be surrounded by family.

According to WalesOnline, it marks the first time Michael will meet the Queen. He received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, in the The Queen. Michael commented, “This is a huge honour. I am both thrilled and slightly mystified. But very grateful. It’ll be nice to meet the real Queen at last.”

No need to worry that this honor will go to Michael’s head. His daughter, Lily is keeping him well grounded. She’s been referring to him in jest as Obi Wan Sheen.

Michael has been tweeting on his way into the ceremony. The Beefeaters have apparently not disarmed him of his cell phone as of yet. Check out all his great pictures and tweets here.

Chris Weitz At Italian Press Conference

Twilight Italia has edited the video they took at the Chris Weitz press interview in Italy. They have also been kind enough to supply an English article that explains the backstory.

“We’re very proud to show you, as a Twilight Italia.com exclusive, the video of the Press Conference which was held in Montepulciano last week, on May 25th, to officially communicate the start of the filming in Italy with the cast of New Moon. We were the only fan site allowed to be present to the Press Conference, thanks to our constant cooperation with Volterra in these latest months to support and help the initiatives of the Tuscan Town.”

To Dream the Dream: Twilight Style

Today marks the six year anniversary of the dream that sparked Twilight.  From there is was another year and a half until the books started to reach shelves in fall 2005. Can you believe this all started six years ago?

” I know the exact date that I began writing Twilight, because it was also the first day of swim lessons for my kids. So I can say with certainty that it all started on June 2, 2003. Up to this point, I had not written anything besides a few chapters (of other stories) that I never got very far on, and nothing at all since the birth of my first son, six years earlier.

I woke up (on that June 2nd) from a very vivid dream. In my dream, two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods. One of these people was just your average girl. The other person was fantastically beautiful, sparkly, and a vampire. They were discussing the difficulties inherent in the facts that A) they were falling in love with each other while B) the vampire was particularly attracted to the scent of her blood, and was having a difficult time restraining himself from killing her immediately. For what is essentially a transcript of my dream, please see Chapter 13 (“Confessions”) of the book.”

Christian Serratos: On New Moon Movie

Christina Radish on IESB talked to Christian Serratos about her Twilight experience, her varied talents besides acting, and more.

I remember going to set for the first day, and I wasn’t going to film, I was going to talk to hair and make-up, and meet Chris for the first time. I got out of the car and the A.D. came up to me and introduced herself, and she had an umbrella. It was actually hot in Vancouver, and they put umbrellas over you on modeling shoots when it’s really hot out. I was like, “Oh, you don’t have to do that. It’s not that bad out.” And, she was like, “No, it’s for the paparazzi,” and I was like, “Oh, my God, is that really how it’s going to be this time? Seriously?” Every time any one of the cast members went anywhere, they had to have guys with umbrellas around them because there were that many paparazzi. Just going outside and seeing dozens of people with signs, as if it’s a concert, I felt like Duran Duran. It was weird. ”
