Twilight Stars Kick the Habit

Ashley Greene ( after you get past the without foundation dating question, see below) lets the reporter from E! know that the Twilight cast is taking an important step.

Please note that apparently the E! reporter didn’t get the memo direct from Emma Watson’s manager who issued a statement to multiple newsoutlets that Emma never gave any interviews regarding Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s personal lives. In fact Rob and Emma haven’t spoken for years beyond a “hi how are you” at the BAFTA’s. Stories claiming that Emma did so are 100% without foundation, and Emma Watson’s management is considering pursuing action against the publication that initiated the rumor.

Who’s Hollywood’s Next Golden Boy

That’s the question that The Movie Fanatic is asking. Every generation has one. Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Douglas, Harrsion Ford, Robert Redford have all had their moment of being Hollywood’s hot new face in their 20’s or early 30’s. So who is it going to be now?

“This time, we’re doing a poll for Hollywood’s Next Golden Boy – Who do you think fits the bill? Zac Efron, Shia LaBeouf, Emile Hirsch or Rob Pattinson?”

They have all been part of hits and each has new work on the horizon, so who is it going to be? Get over to TMF and vote!

Don’t Forget Cheer and Baseball Throw Contests

We are running a series of contests along with the folks over at Twilight Fan Trips. As many of you know, this group has a variety of trips that they run in the Portland and Forks areas. This year they have an extra special event that benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They have several actors from the film participating in a baseball game.

So here is a rundown on the contests:

Vampire Baseball Cheer Promotion

Date: Organize and submit your cheer by 6/25/09. Do your cheer with your fans 7/4/09!

Description:

This is a fun promotion to have the Lexicon be a part of the event itself and to get fans get together and cheer at the stadium – showing their solidarity for the Lex!

Our site will be given 2 minutes during the Vampire Baseball event where we can do a customized cheer. So we figured the only way to have people from all over the place learn a cheer it would have to be something they could immediately be comfortable with. And then the light sparked. The Lexicon cheer will be to the tune of Take Me Out To The Ballgame. Be as creative as you want! Just rearrage the classic lyrics to include mentions of the Lex and Twilight. Fans attending the game can then belt out the Lex cheer. we’ll provide a discussion area in the forums so if people want to talk about dressing on theme, bringing support posters, whatever, they can get organized.

At the appointed time, the Lex fans fans get to do their cheer at the game! FanTrips.Travel will work with us to rope off areas for our fans to sit together during the game.

Best part is you don’t need to attend to participate in this contest. Whoever provides the winning lyrics will get the item of their choosing from the Lexicon Cafepress shop. Send the lyrics to [email protected]

Video Contest Ends June 14 Don’t Forget!

Create your own Vampire Baseball Video! You could win 2 tickets to see Vampire Baseball on July 4, 2009 and your video will be featured on the Videowall at PGE Stadium during the Vampire Baseball event! Mike Welch, Peter Facinelli, Rachelle LeFevere, Solomon Trimble, Edi Gathegi, Christian Serratos, and more are going to be there playing at this event which is also a fundraiser for he Make a Wish Foundation.

Mike Welch On Stage In LA

Mike Welch is going to be in the cast at the annual Young Playwrights Festival in Los Angeles. Mike last did a stint on stage back in the fall with closing night being the night before the Twilight movie premiere, which was why he showed up as a brunette at the premiere.

According to a recent festival press release: “Since 1993 this competitive festival has supported and encouraged up-and-coming young playwrights from around the country. The festival is develops and produces plays and musicals by playwrights under the age of 19. The winning playwrights plays are developed, rehearsed, and performed on stage by professional actors. The festival’s artistic directors are Daniel Henning and Noah Wylie.”

Past actors in the festival have included Chris Pine, Sarah Michelle Geller, and Debra Messing to name a few.

Twitter Showdown Continues

OK, here’s the story. Peter Facinelli below has some video encouragement for all of you who haven’t followed him on Twitter yet. Peter needs 500,000 followers by June 19th or he loses his Twilight chair.

Now Gil Birmingham is rising to the challenge, Gil’s latest Tweet “Okay you twisted my arm. If you guys get me to 100,000 fans by June 19, I’ll post a photo of me in a Speedo…any takers?”

Now, if you if you don’t yet have a twitter, here’s why you want one.

1. It’s more fun than an RSS feed. You can keep up with all the new posts on your favorite sites and stars at just a glance and then decide which stories you want to click on.

2. The Lexicon frequently posts heads up to Twitter before ever writing a blog post.

3. The Lex does Tweet some exclusive content. For example this Sunday we will be tweeting our 100 Monkeys Experience and we will be Tweeting our Comic Con experience.

Win Gold Pass Tickets to Creation’s Twilight Tour

Creation has been in the celebrity convention tour business for over 30 years. They have put on events in the the Twilight, Star Trek, Star Wars, Xena, and Stargate fandoms just to name a few.

Peter Facinelli’s Twitter Bet

Peter Facinelli bet Rob DeFranco, the guy who made his Twitter skin and IPhone app, that he could get 500,000 people  following him on Twitter by June 19th. If Peter loses this bet Rob gets to win Peter’s chair from Twilight.

On the other hand if Peter wins, Rob has to walk down Hollywood Blvd in a bikini singing all the single ladies with a sign that says “Twitter me”. Peter has promised to take video. No idea what LAPD will do. For the sake of Peter keeping his chair, and the good citizens of LA not burning their retinas on Rob walking semi-naked down Hollywood Blvd. please follow Peter on Twitter…then again it’s Hollywood Blvd., maybe he’ll just blend in.
