Vanity Fair: Attack of the Wolves Parts 1 & 2

Vanity Fair interviewed members of the wolf pack as part of their ongoing series. First up is Alex Meraz (photo credit John Russo):

You didn’t have stunt doubles at all?

No! They were pushing for it, we were pushing against; we wanted to do our own stuff. We had to train for a good two days, eight hours each day just practicing jumping, making sure we were landing safely. On the day [of shooting], we were actually jumping from a green screen cliff but it was actually taller and a little bit more dangerous because there was foliage and grass on top of it—it was a little slippery. We were fine, and it was really fun.

What was it like having to come together and bond as the Wolf Pack?

We were entirely new, and it was a lot easier. We relied on each other to get through everything. There was so much to learn, but it was organic. We spent a lot of time together at the gym, and that’s what helped. As far as the original cast from Twilight, they were really cool. We didn’t spend much time with them because all of our scenes were really just with the Wolf Pack. It was easy.”

Vanity Fair will be adding more later today. Stay tuned and we’ll insert the extra info here when it becomes available.

11 New Moon Stills Released

Some of the new stills we have seen before in various trailers, even if it was just for a brief second on screen.

However, as one of my officemates eloquently said, “Who cares?!”  She the promptly printed out my favorite photo (seen above) and it’s now plastered on the wall of her cubicle.

Which photo is your favorite? See the gallery on E!.

Justin Chon Talks to Ningin

The Asian pop culture and current happenings website Ningin talked to Justin Chon about his upcoming plans and life since Twilight.

JI: Cool deal. So, has life here changed for you since Twilight happened?

JC: Life — I mean, in some ways, yeah. Like I get to travel a lot. Ya know, once in awhile I get recognized for something. But uh, yeah, I’ve been traveling a lot. In the last year I got to go to Paris, uh Spain, France…(laughs)haha Paris is in France, London, Florida, Korea, New York, Vancouver, Washington, Arizona, Australia, Chicago –twice…I think that’s it.

JI: Of those places, which place did you enjoy the most?

JC: Paris. Ya know what, I honestly thought I wouldn’t love Mona, I’d love Italy but uh…that’s not the case. I thought the French in France would be a bunch of high-nosed rude people, but that’s not the case. If you’re overly nice to them, they treat you with just as much respect. I think they’re just used to American people coming in and poo-poo-ing on sh**. And uh, they just don’t like that. So if you’re really nice, they’re nice to you. The thing I love about Paris was that it’s big city, but it has a really calm attitude. Everyone is just really chill and quiet. Not wild,

JI: Or frantic…

JC: Which I also love! But at the same time it’s fast paced. The subway doors opens before the car even stops — you get to where you’re going and once you get there, you relax. And I really like how everyone is into their own thing and not staring you. I remember I was on the train and some girls were screaming a song — no one gave a sh**. They just let them be teenagers, and no one was trying to reprimand them. Well, people laughed but it was awesome.”

Jackson Rathbone’s The Girlfriend: More Than Meets the Eye

It turns out that there is a lot more than lighthearted romance going on in Jackson Rathbone’s project that also heavily involves his 100 Monkeys bandmates. Director Justin Lerner spoke with MTV about an, up until now, not revealed plotline about the film’s main character, Evan Grey:

“The Evan Grey (played by Evan Sneider [who]also inspired the character) is a man in his twenties with down syndrome[sic] who wants to find love from a woman, and the film (appropriately titled) is about his journey to find a girlfriend. During the course of the tale, Evan comes into some sort of means — which we assume to be money — that he uses to help the girl he’s loved since high school (Shannon), who is currently a single mom.”

100 Monkeys is providing songs for the soundtrack. When asked about the role of music in the film Jackson Rathbone (who is also a producer on the film) said, ““I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a film before it’s finished, but a lot of times you watch a film half way through the cutting and there’s no music and you’re just like, where’s the emotion,” he said. “Once you add the music, it just really takes you along for the ride. Even back in the silent picture days you had somebody playing the piano.”

“Shooting first day in the Cullen house, its the first day we managed to shoot more than our schedule.”

Just one week and a few days to go to complete principle photography, the finish line seems still so far.”

Jacob’s Transformation Clip on ITunes

The clip could actually more correctly be called Paul and Jacob’s Transformation since you see both of them morph. After, seeing it we also know why both Chaske Spencer and Alex Meraz said Kristen might be tiny, but that she can hit hard. Each of them got bruised from the scene. http://www.itunes.com/Twilight Photo credit: His Golden Eyes

Also, for all you Twitter people, Summit is going to release the Eclipse logo when they reach 200K followers on their new Twitter account.  The logo will be unveiled on at first exclusively on Twitter.

There’s also an interesting article up on The Movie Fanatic about how some studios are cracking down on stars using Twitter. They are afraid that all the secrets of their films will be let out.  It seems to us that Summit has taken the opposite approach here embracing the media and their stars, like Peter Facinelli, David Slade, who use it to tempt us without giving away the entire plot.

What do you think about the whole Twitter craze?
