Ashley Green Says Good-Bye to Twilight and Hello to CBGB

Teen Vogue caught up with Ashley Green and talked to her about her fasion for the red carpet, her new role in CBGB, and of course, saying good-bye to the Twilight franchise.

How does it feel to wrap up the Twilight series? “It’s a mixture of emotions. It’s exciting that I get to move on and take this platform that Twilight gave me and jump off of it. Twilight is incredible, but it’s time-consuming. We shot for seven months last time. I think that after the premieres are over is when it’s really going to hit us. Talk to me in a few months and I’ll probably be sobbing.”

Kellan Lutz to Add Voice to Family Guy

It seems like Kellan Lutz has found a home doing voice work in animation.  We previously reported that he would be the lead in Tarzan, which would be like an image capture animation film.  Now he’s signed on to voice a character on The Family Guy.

According to Family Guy executive producer Mark Hentemann, Lutz voices a stud on the high-school football team who is the subject of Meg’s “Burt Bacharach-backed sexual fantasies.” The hunky jock does agree to go on a date with Meg, “but he’s interested in another member of the Griffin family — and it’s not one of the women,” hints Hentemann.

Happy Birthday Lori

Hi, it’s Laura. Yesterday was Lori (Alphie’s) birthday. I totally forgot what day it was. My body clock and date skills are a little off right now.

As most of you probably know, Lori is the founder of The Twilight Lexicon. If she hadn’t read Twilight in December 2005 and had it “eat my brain” there would be no Twilight Lexicon. It’s thanks to her that the site was up and running as of March 2006 with many of the features that you see today. She’s the person who is the master of the Lexicon’s much quoted timeline, personal correspondences, and many of the character bios. Not to mention she’s proofread and edited and put in the links on just about every chapter summary. So if you can find background information and cross referencing it’s all her. Her brain works for trivia better than mine ever will.

So please if you enjoy coming here wish her a happy birthday in the comments below.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Teaser Breaks Yahoo Movies Record

According to Deadline Hollywood.

It [the Breaking dawn Part 2 teaser]debuted exclusively on Yahoo and received 7 million views within the first day, the most ever for a trailer viewed on Yahoo. The previous record-holder on Yahoo was the Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Photos: Bill Condon Receiving His Lion and Lamb Trophy

Yesterday we shared with you the story on how we gave Bill Condon a trophy called the Lion and Lamb Award (AKA The Lambie) for all his dedication to the Twilight fandom. Today we have photos from Twilightish, Team Twilight, and Jack Morrissey(the photo seen left) who were all able to take pictures while we did the video recording.

I realize that I left out one crucial detail yesterday when I described how it all went down. We gave him the trophy and there was a card to go with it. He opened the card first. It was a Breaking Dawn card that Elena from Twilightish (who has awesome scrapbook skills)managed to modify because it was originally a birthday card. She recovered the inside so it was blank. Then, all of us signed the card representing our sites and the fans who visit them.

So Bill goes to open the card and surprise it’s a musical card! It starts playing Christina Perri’s 1000 Years. He started laughing and so did his editors who you see in the background of the photos. Then after that, he dove in to the wrapping paper and pulled out the trophy.

Bill really really loved it. They are putting it up in the office where they are currently editing the movie. Everyone there got a kick out of it.

Via Twilightish here’s a shot of Bill posing with the award (more shots on Twilightish)

In case you missed the full story. We posted it yesterday. Below is the video we shot as it was going on.

5 Things That Have Us Psyched About the Breaking Dawn 2 Teaser

MTV’s Next Movie has a list of 5 things from yesterday’s teaser that have them pumped for the movie. Do theeir choices match yours?

1. Bella Warrior: At the tail end of the teaser as she’s lined up with her family and new friends, Bella (Kristen Stewart), watches as the immense Volturi guard descends upon the Forks clearing with a mean mug so fierce even we were shivering in our boots a little. Bella as a badass warrior vampire, finally? We’ve been waiting for that for four years now.

2. New Vampires: Incoming! There are about two dozen new vampires tacking onto the “Twilight” cast list for “Part 2,” and the teaser trailer gave some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpses at just about every blimey one of ’em. Some of the more enthralling new vamp flashes include Joe Anderson as the secluded and scruffy wanderer vamp Alistair, Lee Pace as the nomadic hottie Garrett and Judi Shekoni as the über-talented wild one from the Amazon, Zafrina. As Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black puts it, “Lotta red eyes around here.” Just the way we like it. More, more, more!

Check out more on Next Movie.

Video: Thank You to Bill Condon From All Twilight Fans

Those of you who follow us on Twitter were probably aware yesterday that Laura and several other Twilight site websmasters got the chance to meet Bill Condon, and to talk to him about Breaking Dawn part 2. We can’t quite talk about what we discussed yet, but it was almost a 40 minute Q&A.

At the end of the Q & A we had a surprise thank you for Bill Condon. By the time Breaking Dawn part 2 comes out, Bill Condon will have been involved with Twilight for over two years. That’s a lot of time and dedication. What’s really generous is just how much Bill has embraced all things Twilight, not looked down on the franchise or fans, and really taken it all seriously.

So even though we know know that Bill won’t get nominated for an OSCAR for this film, we didn’t was him to go unrewarded. SO, we cooked up a bit of a scheme to give him a trophy that we dubbed the first ever Lion and Lamb Award affectionately known as The Lambie.

There was a lamb on the top of the trophy and inscription and then the sites’ names underneath.

The inscription on the award reads

Line # 1: TO
Line # 2: BILL CONDON
Line # 3: FOR UNFLINCHING SUPPORT OF ALL THINGS TWILIGHT
Line # 4: WE PRESENT YOU WITH THE FIRST EVER
Line # 5: LION AND LAMB AWARD
Line # 6: THE FANSITES OF
Line # 7: TWIHARD NATION
Line # 8: JUNE 2012
