You’ve heard of “football widows”, well add the band Shallow Day to the “Twilight Widowers Club”. Poor guys, football season is only a few months, but Twilight…think of it as payback for years of football. Anyway check out the band’s YouTube video of their woes, and see their main site at www.shallowday.com.TY to Stephanie for giving us the heads up.

Rachelle Lefevre To The Rescue
We’ve all known what a great animal lover Rachelle is. She and her dog, Honey(seen left), were in several publications promoting responsible pet ownership and keeping you pet healthy. Sadly, Rachelle’s Honey passed away just before Christmas. Rachelle, according to People magazine, isn’t forgetting about Honey, but is moving on:
“Rachelle Lefevre is not one to break New Year’s resolutions. Just three days after a Dec. 30 Tweet announcing that she planned to adopt a dog, the Twilight star and actor-boyfriend Jamie Thomas King went to Baldwin Park, a Los Angeles-area high-kill shelter, and rescued not one but two pups! “They were both on the ‘at risk’ list,” Lefevre tells PEOPLEPets.com. “If no one rescued them within the week they were going to be put down.” In an instant, cocker spaniel Momma Bear and miniature poodle Jack Sprat were given a second chance at life”
And The Winner Is Interviews Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick talks to the And The Winner Is blog about Twilight, her early career,, Up In the Air and where she sees herself in the future.
“At the moment, Kendrick is as much an “It” girl as anyone. She recently starred in Catherine Hardwicke’s “Twilight” and Chris Weitz’s “New Moon,” both among the biggest box-office hits of all-time; her next role will be in another likely blockbuster, Edgar Wright’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World”; and, in the meantime, she’s been tirelessly working the awards circuit for “Up in the Air” and garnering accolades from seemingly every group out there — she’s already snagged best supporting actress nominations from the HFPA, SAG, BAFTA, BFCA, and OFCS, as well as a best supporting actress title from the NBR. In all likelihood, a best supporting actress Oscar nod is just around the corner, which would would make her one of the category’s youngest nominees — and potentially its seventh youngest winner — in history.”
There are extensive audio interviews on all of those different areas. Via KStew411
Jamie Campbell Bower Oscar Contender?
Well, not Jamie so much as a foreign language film that he is in from the Netherlands called Oorlogswinter, which in English translates to Winter In Wartime.
According to the Academy the film has made the short list of nominees for foreign language films and now just has to make the final cut.
“The shortlist will be winnowed down to the five nominees by specially invited committees in New York and Los Angeles. They will spend Friday, January 29, through Sunday, January 31, viewing three films each day and then casting their ballots.
The 82nd Academy Awards nominations will be announced on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 5:30 a.m. PT in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.”
Keeping our fingers crossed for Jamie, and of course for Anna Kendrick (they don’t give short lists in her category).

Teens For Jeans: Revamping Campaign For Haiti Relief
TY to Twilight Examiner for letting us know about this.
The charity drive currently supported by Ashley Greene called Teens for Jeans has just broadened it’s outreach. According to CNN:
“In support of its third annual “Teens for Jeans” initiative with teen not-for-profit DoSomething.org, NYC-based teen retailer Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO) announced it will be matching the first 100,000 pairs donated with brand new jeans to be delivered to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
“Teens for Jeans” raises awareness about the youth homelessness epidemic by inspiring teens across the U.S. and Canada to collect gently worn jeans and donate them to homeless youth in their own communities. In response to the earthquake in Haiti, Aeropostale, Inc. and DoSomething.org are extending the campaign’s reach beyond the U.S. and Canada to help teens affected by the disaster.”
