Alex Meraz, Julia Jones, and Tinsel Korey at Tao in Las Vegas

Alex Meraz, Tinsel Korey, and Julia Jones hung out with fans at the beach party at the Tao Beach yesterday. There are some great pictures here. Interesting random fact, Alex apparently has some seriously intricate ink on both his feet, who knew?

A reporter also interviewed the trio on career vs celebrity and being in the public eye.

What’s the testosterone level like on the set?

Rachelle Lefevre to Be in New Medical TV Drama

Rachelle_LeFevreOriginally Rachelle LeFevre was supposed to be in a medical drama fronted by John Wells and co-starring Sissy Spacek. It seems that for whatever reason that it didn’t get picked up (go figure). However according to EW, Rachelle has found herself in another medical drama.

“Rachelle Lefevre apparently isn’t going to rest until she plays a doctor on TV. The ex-Twilightactress, who had a role in John Wells’ ill-fated CBS medical drama pilot, is joining the cast of ABC’s upcoming Shonda Rhimes-backed physicians-in-paradise soap Off the Map.

Lefevre’s character, Eva, is a free-spirited missionary doc who is well versed in international medicine and global health. She worked at the clinic before, but left due to her troubled romantic history with its founder, Ben (Martin Henderson).”

Access Hollywood has some additional information on the show:

“…“Off The Map,” is the third medical-based drama from Shonda. This time, however, the “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” creator is taking an executive role, as the series, which will hit screens midseason, was created by “Grey’s” writer Jenna Bans.

“I didn’t write it. GA writer Jenna Bans is creator of Off The Map,” Shonda Tweeted back in January “I’m just like a proud, proud mama exec producing.”

Like “Grey’s” and “Private Practice,” the new series is also about medical personnel, but this time there’s no swanky hospital or flashy private facility involved. “Off The Map” will be based around doctors who work in a tropical area.”

Kirsten Prout Inspire Magazine Interview

Inspire Magazine talked to Kirsten Prout about how Eclipse has opened doors despite her small role.

“KIRSTEN: It was definitely intimidating stepping onto a set with an established cast, all of whom are tremendously talented. On our show (Kyle XY) we had such a dynamic, so I knew what I was in for as the new kid. That being said, everyone was so welcoming and it was an absolute pleasure working on Eclipse.

I: Did you have to contemplate on the idea of being in the third installment of the series? Have you read the books?

K: To be completely honest, I wasn’t used to the idea of such a small character, but when I saw that it was for Eclipse, I realized it was such a tremendous opportunity and just being involved is enough. It has really opened doors for me and I am so grateful for the experience.

I: Although your role was brief, you were able to meet Jackson Rathbone. How was your first encounter of him like?

K: He was so wonderful, an absolute southern gentleman. Sitting down at lunch alone, my first day meeting anyone, I was thrilled when he just plopped down next to me and spent the afternoon getting to know me. He’s so talented, and such a dedicated artist. Jackson is an extremely friendly and authentic person.”

Self Magazine: Tish Monaghan on Eclipse Costumes

edbellabedSelf Magazine interviewed costume designer Tish Monaghan on how she put together the Eclipse look.

SELF: How is Bella’s look in Eclipse different from in New Moon?

Tish Monaghan: Well, it’s funny because the movies come out a year apart, but onscreen, only a week has passed. With Bella [Kristen Stewart], she’s a little more settled in public and in her relationship with Edward. And so, at the beginning, I wanted to show a little bit more of a relation to the Cullens’ colors, a cool palate, and steer away from the warm earth tones that were more evident in New Moon.

There are quite a few romantic scenes, so I wanted to show a softer side of Bella without going too girly or feminine, because that’s just not at the heart of who she is. She’s a very practical person, so I tried to soften her up a bit with color. We open up with her wearing one of her signature plaid shirts, but it’s in a softer, lilac fabric and looks very pretty in a field of flowers. We tried to retain the integrity of her character, but just lighten her up a little.”

Stephenie Meyer Fansite Interview: Covering Victoria’s, Hair, and Knitting

The next portion of the fansite interview with Stephenie Meyer has been released. They cover what goes on during downtime on the set, the flashback scenes, hairstyles, and the two Victoria’s.

TST(Kallie): Ok, I have a question… It’s a little movie related we haven’t seen it yet but in Eclipse we get a lot of background for Rosalie, Jasper and the Quileutes. Which I love, love, love! It’s my favorite part of reading those books, and getting to know the characters. So which of the backgrounds are you most excited, or have you been most excited to played out on film?

SM: I found Jasper’s really exciting.

TST(Kallie): That’s what I’m most excited about!

SM: I think that having read them… Well, when I was writing them I really liked the Quileute background.

TST(Kallie): I love the Quileutes, and so for me, I was so excited to see the third wife and all that but because reading of Bree (The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner) I am now so excited about seeing Jackson’s background being played out.

SM: They’re short in the movie, because they have to be. That’s always the heartbreak of them. The biology scene…it’s so hard to get things, it kills you because you want to see Rob and Kristen do that.

LT: It’ll just be five hours long!”
