Fanjunket Interview: Movie Titles, Actor Performances and More

Twilight Series Theories has a transcript of the Stephenie Meyer fan junket interview. Now a bunch of it has been seen before on other sites; however there is new info that didn’t make the cut in the other version. What’s also good it that it’s one long section in chronological order so you can see how one topic flowed into the other.

Here’s a snippet:

“SM: This one she says may not be answerable.

Kallie: It may not be legal and that’s okay. If it’s not, okay.  I feel like a rebel right now.

Kassie: You are.  I told her not to ask it.

Kallie: I’m the straight-laced one.  Okay, so Breaking Dawn the book is being made into two movies.

SM: Yeah.

Kallie: Breaking Dawn I, Breaking Dawn II?

SM: Oh the names?

Kallie: Yes, for the movies.

SM: Oh I don’t know.  I don’t know.

Kallie: Do you have any ideas or anything?

SM: I don’t have anything.  I was thinking about that one because Breaking Dawn I and Breaking Dawn II is really flat, but then what else are you gonna do?

Kallie: I think we should look towards the Alien movies and what they’ve called them ‘cause I always think that the baby scene…

Matt: “Breaking Dawns”?

Fansite:  You know how it’s like breaking out?

Kallie: Yeah, “Breaking Out” is number one and Breaking Dawn can be number two.  No, not really.  But you know—”

Michael Sheen in Manic Street Preachers Video

It looks like Jamie Campbell Bower isn’t the only member of the Volturi to do a music video this week. Michael Sheen tweeted that hes was in a video for Manic Street Preachers.

“Manics video was thrilling. The whole thing is one take. Should be pretty cool. The guys were great. A real honour. Really like the song too.” As Michael says it’s pretty impressive that they did this video with one camera and in one take!

Michael then gave a link to when the video debuted on the UK’s GMTV.

British actress Anna Friel is the other chess player in this video. She’s best known to American audiences from her role on Pushing Daisies and to Harry Potter fans as the long-time partner of actor DAvid Thewlis who plays Remus Lupin. No matter what, we’re pretty sure that she’s the envy of just about everyone starting at the 2:45 mark or so.

Fanjunket Friday: Stephenie Sounds Off on the Volturi and Flawed Edward

Twilight Fans has more coverage with the fanjunket with Stephenie. This week it’s about the Volturi, the actors who play them, and flawed edward.

Aro

SM: We kicked around a lot of names with that. And Michael Sheen was Chris’ choice (Chris Weitz, director). “Frost/Nixon,” he’s a great actor, but I couldn’t see him as Aro.

Alison: Oh, Lucian! (the character he played in the “Underworld” movies)

SM: Well, I hadn’t seen the “Underworld” thing, and I was like, “I don’t know,” I kinda had a different mental image. I had this actor, that actor that I wanted. And he talked me into it. First day I saw him on set, I went up to Chris and I said “thank you so much. You were right, I was wrong. I will listen to you forever, because you were SOO right on that one.”

Nikki (LTT): When he delivered that line, it’s just like, “oooooh!!”

SM: It was a delight to watch him go in there. Every little take he did something different. He did slightly different things. Always, of course, lines were perfect. Never a mistake, but he would give something different for the director to pull from. And he’s so great, he’s a really interesting guy. So much fun to talk to.

Bekah (LTT): My husband, who thinks I’m crazy, when Michael Sheen was in…

SM: That’s one of the reasons I love that movie…I love watching him, where every time he comes on, I’m like, “Say something!”

CAIUS…………………..

SM: I hate that Jamie Campbell Bower didn’t get as many lines. He is chilling. He actually tried out for Demetri. And he was too scary for Demetri. We were watching it. There was another guy that — Demetri is supposed to be — Charlie (Bewley) was sort-of the in-between. Demetri was supposed to be smoother and calm people down. But then of course, maybe people don’t want to ever have somebody as the peace maker. They want all the tension. So Charlie was scary, but not as scary (laughs) as Jamie. Jamie was CHILL-LING. And that his face took the makeup like nobody else. He has no pores! His skin was perfect! He got in the makeup, and every line he delivered had so much weight. It was like “more, more please.” Caius needs a story. The whole thing with him and Michael Sheen was great. Well, Marcus too.”

EW Sexy Beast 2010 Final Results

It was a very tight race in the final bracket between Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon and Robert Pattinson. Here’s what happened according to EW:

“Still, the final Edward-v.-Damon showdown trumped ‘em all. Our polls were open for 72 hours, and midway through the final day of voting, the virile vampires were separated by less than 200 votes. With six hours remaining, and our finalists still locked in a statistical dead-heat, EW.com’s Sexy Beast special-ops team decided to hide our poll results, and began to plan a special issue of Entertainment Weekly commemorating a tournament that had becoming nothing short of an Internet sensation. When the blood, sweat, and broken fangs were wiped away, who was the winner? Let this be the official reveal: Damon Salvatore eked out a mild upset victory over Edward Cullen by a margin of 138,630 to 134,728, a difference of just 3,902 votes.”
