Angela Sarafyan Talks Breaking Dawn and Small vs Bigger Films

Angela Sarafyan who plays Tia in Breaking Dawn talks to Next Movie about big budget vs indie films.

How different is the experience of shooting a big, Hollywood movie like “Twilight” as opposed to a smaller film like “American Animal?” I imagine they must be two ends of the spectrum.
It’s funny you say that because it was quite the opposite from what I expected. It’s a very big, big film and you’d think it would be filled with pressure and … it’s not at all like that. It’s very intimate. Easy to do, somehow. The people I work with are so helpful, kind and welcoming. It’s been fun to go to work with those kind of people, especially under very extraordinary circumstances.

It doesn’t feel as big as you’d think, which has been good for me as an actor. I get to play around and create things and have fun in the moment. We’re only one part of it as actors, because the special effects and visual effects all come in [after] … It’ll be a huge surprise at the end, [laughs] I don’t know what it will look like!

Best Kiss Let’s Rock the Vote For a #Twilight4Peat

The MTV Movie Awards take votes daily. Last year voters got complacent on a couple of categories and actors like Xavier Samuel didn’t get recognition. Don’t assume Twilight will just win! Get over to MTV and vote!

Kristen Stewart Wanted to Finish Breaking Dawn Before Other Projects

Kristen Stewart talked to Ology about moving on from Breaking Dawn.

Coming off a five-film franchise like Twilight must be a little frightening. While the exhilaration and combined sadness of letting go of such a staple character is a given, the ambiguity of “what do I do next?” must settle in soon after.

Kristen Stewart doesn’t really have that problem. Or at least, she doesn’t let it get to her. The 22-year-old actress is about to release her biggest starring role since becoming Bella Swan back in 2007 — the title character in Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman. The Brothers Grimm-inspired reboot also stars Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth. And after the lukewarm response to fellow fairytale remake, Mirror Mirror, there’s a lot of pressure for this darker adaptation to kick ass at the box office.

“It seems like it’s a very tactful move, this one,” Kristen tells me about choosing to take on the role. “It’s like ‘Oh, how do I prove myself in the franchise beyond Twilight?’ I was doing Breaking Dawn at the time when the script came up. I didn’t want to read anything. I wanted to finish and focus.”

Kristen Stewart on Fame and What She Loves About Snow White

There are some parallels between Snow White and fame.

Video: Saoirse Ronan Talks The Host Reaching Twilight Levels Of Fame

At a gallery last night, Saorise Ronan talks about The Host and whether she feels she life will be like that of Kristen Stewart and Twilight cast members.

Saoirse also told the Irish Herald that she has home comforts on the set:

The budding A-lister, who travels all over the world, divulged she even packs a plastic bag in her suitcase stuffed with Barry’s Tea and crisps whenever she goes abroad on a shoot.

“Every single film set I go to I have things from home like that with me… It still tastes different though, it’s never a proper Irish cup of tea unfortunately.”

And there was a panic when the starlet ran out of her supply on set in Louisiana, where she filmed Twilight author Stephenie Meyer’s new flick The Host.

“We ran out of teabags over there so we had to get loads more sent over and any Irish person visiting New Orleans was ordered to bring some with them. It’s very important.”

Top Five New Moon Quotes Featured on Hypable

Over at Hypable they are featuring quotes from different fandoms. Today the top five quotes from New Moon came up.

4. “I thought briefly of the clichés, about how you were supposed to see your life flash before your eyes. I was so much luckier. Who wanted to see a rerun, anyway?”

Bella says that in her mind while drowning. It’s miserable. I always cried when reading that (and I’m a guy!). Meyer creates deep psychologies for her characters and I think that’s why her characters are sometimes unaccepted. They are too real (even when they’re vampires) that readers are not used to that. They are used to either very good or extremely bad characters, which doesn’t exist in reality. Twilight characters have flaws, just like real people, which makes them perfectly-thought out characters in my opinion.

Check out what other quotes made the list on Hypable and why. It’s a pretty good list, and somewhat unusual in that it is complied by a guy since the majority of the fandom is female.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Make Forbes Celebrity 100 List 2012

Forbes Magazine has just come out with their annual Celebrity 100 List. Here are the qualifications considered to get

on the list:

With most of our lists we keep it strictly on the money: earnings or net worth. The Celebrity 100 is a little different. This list–which includes film and television actors, TV personalities, models, athletes, authors, musicians and comedians–is based on money and fame. We define fame as media visibility in print, television, radio and online, plus social media power, which we measure by looking at each celebrity’s presence on Facebook and Twitter. The earnings consist of pretax income between May 1, 2011, and May 1, 2012. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted. Forbes has been publishing the list annually since 1999.

Kristen Stewart made the list at number 43 and Taylor Launter ranked in at 67.

Given the requirement for a social media presence and that Robert Pattinson and Stephenie Meyer have none, we are wondering if that hurt their ranking. Taylor Lautner launched a Facebook page last year with several million followers and Kristen Stewart (though she has no social media) does many more interviews than Pattinson and Lautner. Similarly author Suzanne Collins of The Hunger Games fame is not there, she also does not do many appearances, so maybe that is the key?

Twilight Fans’ Love Extends to Kristen Stewart’s Bodyguard

We caught site of the HBG (Hot Body Guard)group last year since they were directly across from us on the Breaking Dawn red carpet. MTV is doing a feature on the rising Facebook group.

One thing to point out about these ladies is that they don’t take themselves too seriously. Yes, they are dedicated fans, but they also just want to continue to have fun with the concept.

“When Stephenie Meyer grabbed a hold of our HBG heads on a stick and took photos with them, that was so cool,” Jacobs recalled of the author embracing their “fan art” at last year’s premiere. “We were always worried that people would think we were crazy instead of just creative fans, but overall, the page and the whole concept has been really well-received.”

“My dream for the group is for it to continue for as long as possible, maybe even until a gray-haired HBG is beating away the paparazzi with his cane in order to protect Kristen,” Morrill joked. “Truthfully, when we started this page a year and half ago, we never could have imagined what it would become. People around the world now refer to Kristen Stewart’s bodyguard as “HBG.” We did that. Stephenie Meyer knows who we are. Kristen mentioned our page in an article for British GQ last year. The awesome folks at MTV think we’re cool. It really doesn’t get much better than that! The only thing I could imagine that would put a cherry on top of this entire experience is to one day be able to change the group’s profile picture to one of the three of us with Kristen and ‘HBG.’

Check out more on MTV You can catch the group on Twitter here or on Facebook here.

You can actually see the group pretty clearly in the background of our video with Bill Condon.
