Michael Sheen Brought to Tears
Don’t worry, it’s all in a good way. The Prince’s Trust, a UK charity that helps young people, published a book with the help of sponsorship by Starbucks. The book asked various stars which piece of music inspired them to tears. Michael Sheen answered:
“I remember listening to it [Song to the Siren by Tim Buckley] shortly after she arrived and there’s a line in it which goes: ‘Swim to me, Let me enfold you,’ and it just makes me think of her being born and swimming to me, and me being away from her.”
You can get the full story in Michael’s native South Wales paper.

Vampire Baseball: Maggie’s Report
Our favorite blogger, Maggie (who was on the set of Twilight), took part in the Vampire Baseball event in Portland yesterday. As usual Maggie’s blog makes you feel like you were there, and she’s promising pictures in the future.
“I was rather floored at how good they were. It wasn’t just connecting with the ball, they were hitting them way out, catching and throwing like pros… dang these people and their multiple talents!
The players were split into two teams: The Veggie Vampires Dances with Wolves (Peter’s team), and Portland Purple People Eaters (Rachelle’s team)…they came up with their own names. You’d have to ask them. The game was great. Everyone was having a good time, but obviously still competitive, and played wicked well. I was most impressed with Catherine Grimme… that girl is good!
There were lots of antics- a mock fight between the boys over a bad call, Rachelle replacing Peter with another pitcher as she didn’t like his throws- and some fun effects too. There was a bit in the second inning where Catherine[the six-year-old who played young Bella] took a hit and immediately was called ‘safe’, seemingly without running around the bases, so she looked like she had vampire speed! Really we filmed it the day before and Tyler sped it up with effects, but it looked great!”
Check out the rest of Maggie’s write up here! Kudos to all the stars and fansites who came out on July 4th to particpate in a fun event that helped to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation!
TMF: Which of Robert Pattison’s Upcoming Movies Will Be A Hit
Without risking the wrath of rabid Rob Pattinson fans, we think we can safely say that though Little Ashes and How To Be were not runaway box office hits. Now granted, they were small indie movie ventures, and we don’t think anyone intended them to be blockbusters.
Let’s flashforward, Rob now has multiple upcoming projects ranging from modern-day, New York City-based love stories to period costume dramas. The Movie Fanatic delves into what we can expect from Rob’s upcoming work, and asks which will rise to the top on the screen.
Check it all out on The Movie Fanatic.
Peter Facinelli Atlanta Bound
The Sunday Paper interviewed Peter Facinelli, who along with: Billy Burke, Catherine Hardwicke, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene are going to be at the Buckhead Westin in Atlanta for Creation Entertainment’s Twilight Tour.
“Are there any scenes from the books that you hope make it into the films?
For “New Moon,” there’s a scene with Bella (Kristin Stewart) where I stitch her up. I was excited to shoot that scene because it was a pivotal scene. It kind of sets up the whole reason why Rob’s character doesn’t want to change her into a vampire. I hope it stays in the movie because I feel like it’s essential and it’s a really nice scene for Carlisle and Bella; it’s an intimate thing. It’s a scene where a lot of information is being given and it shows another side of Carlisle, a soft side of him that I like. I’d be bummed if that was out. “
Would You Want a Spin-off?
The Coventry Telegraph put together information from a series of interviews asked of the Twilight Saga movie producers at the Vision Awards. By different reporters, they were asked about the future of the series. Additionally, reporters asked if they would ever consider some kind of spin-off featuring the Volturi. They said that they were committed to finishing the vision the Stephenie had but after that,
“Stay tuned. I think if our movies do as well as the first did all possibilities are out there. But right now we need to finish what we have and finish Stephenie’s vision as best we can and then let’s see where the audience demands us to go from there.”
You can see the whole summary here.
So, (keep in mind this is just speculation no contracts or anything like that exist)would you want some kind of spin-off?
Kiowa Gordon In Indian Country Today
Kiowa Gordon (“Key-oh-ah”,heavy accent on the o—at least that was how it was pronounced by Gil Birmingham) who plays Embry Call in New Moon attended a local high school graduation as a guest and then chatted with Indian Country about his upcoming role which will hopefully open many of Hollywood’s doors for him.
““My mom got an e-mail. She was ecstatic.” After speaking to the director on the phone, he was off to Los Angeles for a “cyberscan.” It’s a technique used in many movies to create real-life animation. “A machine went around my body to create a computer image so I could be transformed into a werewolf.”
“When I went to Vancouver, the first person I met was Alex Meraz. During the first three weeks I hung out with the wolf pack. We worked with a personal trainer. I gained five pounds. We all bonded and became like brothers,” Gordon said. “I’m the smallest (physically) but I’m the tallest.” Gordon is 5 feet 11 inches tall.
He describes a day of the set. “We spend an hour in makeup (basically) getting darker and they enhanced our abs,” laughs Gordon. “It was really cold, one degree Celsius. We wore robes before our shoots. All our scenes were outdoors. We had to get in the rain.”
