Paramore’s DeCode Beanie For Sale

Lexicon reader Courtney wrote in to tell us the following:

“Just thought you might want to know that Paramore is having an online yard sale to raise money for Japan. And one of the things they are selling is actually what they are calling the “other” decode beanie. As you know Hayley wears a purple beanie in that music video but originally she had also bought a grey one to see if that would work but they ended up going with purple. Just thought you might want to post about it since its kinda Twilight related and it is to help support Japan. Hope you are all doing awesome!”

Check out the Beanie here.

What Goes Up Must Come Down: Goodbye to the Breaking Dawn Sets

bella and edward's cottage being deconstructed

The sets in Vancouver that were temporary structures that were built, and in the case of the Swan house, rebuilt have now come down. The structures that remain standing in the Vancouver area are the ones that existed as locations prior to filming ever beginning. Some of these include the following:

Jacob’s House location
Movie theater where the Mike, Bella, Jacob three-way date and aftermath was shot
Movie theater where the Bella and Jessica motorcycle scene was shot
Move theater recently used for assumed flashback footage
The Cullen house used in New Moon
The pool where the Kristen Stewart, Rachelle Lefevre, and Taylor Lautner filmed the  CGI for Bella’s cliff jump

Of course the outdoor locations of the park land used for the break-up scene and the beautiful coastline of the Tofino area where the cliff diving scenes were shot aren’t going anywhere.

You can see what remains of cottage location above taken by Cybermelli and what remains of the Swan House here. (Via TwiExaminer)

Who knows, maybe they’ll auction some memorable pieces?

Kellan Lutz Signed Items to Help Charity

We just received the following email from the non-profit organization Characters of Character:

“Characters of Character is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing tools and resources to parents and educators nationwide to help teach children nine positive character traits. We believe that introducing these traits at a younger age will create a better-quality society for everyone. Our organization has developed a unique way to reach children and help them internalize the nine traits that we focus on. Our Characters allow children to identify with the traits correlating with each Character.

Our organization recently received a donation from Summit that included a bunch of Eclipse merchandise, as well as a donation from Kellan Lutz of a signed Eclipse DVD & t-shirt. We’re using these donations to help raise funds and awareness for our organization. We’re asking for a small donation for each entry, and our main goal is to introduce our organization to those who were not aware of us before, we we’re a nationwide organization… If you’d like to take a look at the contest, here’s the link: http://www.squidoo.com/cofcjenny/123883341-Eclipse-Contest-

Booboo Stewart Loves His Fans, But Let’s Not Invade Space.

BooBoo-as-Seth-218x300We’ve had the opportunity to meet Booboo Stewart multiple times. In our opinion, he’s a great, down-to-earth kid who hasn’t let fame go to his head. He loves talking to fans of any age, and at Twilight Conventions we’ve seen what we call the Booboo phenomena in person—people weren’t die hard fans before they met him, and then they leave the convention wearing Team Booboo tee shirts (in a very non-cougar way) because he is so genuine.

Unfortunately it seems some people recently crossed the line from enthusiastic fan to inappropriate. We just received the below message from Booboo’s staff.

“Booboo Stewart would like his fans to know how much he appreciates their support and thinks they are totally awesome. Booboo enjoys meeting and sharing with his fans when he is in public, loves to chat with them on Facebook and Myspace, but, please respect his family’s personal privacy.

Booboo’s mother’s cell phone was compromised by an individual or individuals that contacted her via text and impersonated Booboo. This was worrisome to his mother and family because of the nature of the text. Steps have been taken to correct this matter. Booboo and his family appreciate your understanding for family privacy.

Booboo wants to assure his fan he will always make an effort to share and communicate what’s happening in his life and career and truly appreciates their understanding when it comes to his family’s personal privacy.”

We echo the sentiment. It’s seriously not cool what happened, especially since Booboo is still a minor. You can learn more about Booboo on his official website that he shares with his sister Fivel.

Lykke Li: Grateful For the Twilight Connection

Lykke Li is promoting her new album called Wounded Rhymes. She mentioned her New Moon soundtrack experience.

“I’m a very melancholic kind of person,” she says. “I don’t know why, I think certain people are born a certain way. There’s more discomfort being an old soul or a person who questions a lot of things. I’m young, but I’m old. It’s a part of who I am and the reason why I’m here, too.”

Li says she didn’t necessarily understand the Twilight phenomenon, but she was grateful for the opportunity to influence young listeners watching the films.

“[Twilight has] die-hard fans — all these young people still believing in love and being romantic. I really identify with that. I remember watching films in my teenage years, and you’d be in love with Leonardo DiCaprio and then a song would come on. You’d love that song forever; it changed your life.”

Asked what Wounded Rhymes will mean to her when she listens back to it, the self-described old soul thinks it will serve as a reminder of her growing pains.

“I’m going to be like Benjamin Button; I’m just going to grow younger. I will probably be happy, fat, with kids and looking back and thinking, I was such a angry young woman. It’s the dark years before I kind of understood that life is hard, but it’s always beautiful.”
