Adam Sandler Competes With Eclipse

According to HitFix the latest Adam Sandler movie has just moved its release date:

” Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” has June 30 staked out and the M. Night Shyamalan adaptation of “The Last Airbender” were already set to open two days later on July 2.  This was curious enough that many industry execs wonders whether the “Twilight” Moms would take their kids to “Airbender” or drag their daughters to “Eclipse” instead.  Now, Columbia Pictures has moved the Adam Sandler buddy comedy “Growns Ups” from it’s previously announced March 12 release to June 25.  That’s only five days before “Eclipse”…Could it put a dent in the Eclipse box office total?”

Check out HitFix for the the whole analysis.

So You Think You Can Dance Twilight Style

Last Night on So You Think You Can Dance one of the dances was inspired by Twilight, True Blood, the whole current vampire genre. The entire Lex admin team are HUGE fans (Let’s hear it for EVAN and RANDI the one team the admins agree on.), and judging by the massive amounts of emails and Tweets we got so are all of you. Check it out.

The Real Charlie Swan

One of the great things this past weekend at the Summer School in Forks Symposium was that we heard from the real-life citizens of Forks.  We talked to everyone from former and current students, business owners, high school staff, and of course the chief of police. So what is it like actually being the real police chief in Forks, Washington?

Real life Chief of Police Mike Powell explains it all. Later on when he was asked about the  representation in the movie he thought it was pretty acurrate and he thought that Billy Burke did a great job playing a chief of police. The only part he said wouldn’t have happened was that he would never have been cleaning a firearm while drinking Rainer beer as was the case with the movie.

Summer School In Forks Overview

Kaleb Nation, The Twilight Guy, shot this very cool footage while we were in Forks. We are still working on some of our pieces, but for now enjoy Kaleb’s.

You have to love Lori playing Bellaesque crazed fangurl screaming for Edward in the forest. See additional photos on Kaleb’s site here.

Summit to Launch New Moon MySpace

Summit Entertainment will shortly be launching a MySpace page for New Moon.

Among the features will be the ability for viewers to switch between the Twilight and New Moon movies by easily clicking on a tab rather than jockeying URLs.  Initial content will include the trailer, with other items added as the movie draws closer. Their current MySpace page is here, no word yet if this will be the URL, or if it will change.

Rachelle Lefevere:Interview From Down Under

Rachelle Lefevre was in Australia this past weekend for a HUB productions convention. Gil Birmingham is headed their shortly to do a convention for the same group. Rachelle had a chance to talk with the Sydney Morning Herald while she was there.

It seems like the video won’t load for many of our readers. You can find it here.

Eclipse To Start Filming In August

Coming Soon is stating that Eclipse will begin filming August 17th in Vancouver and wrap on October 30th. Keep in mind that New Moon started ahead of its predicated dates and wrapped on time, so take the info as a loose guideline because these things change.

We would anticipate that the “tight wrap” kept on New Moon filming will continue with Eclipse. Like New Moon, a majority of the scenes (assuming they stick closely to the book) would be interiors or locations that are easily blocked from public view such as the much visited Bella’s and Jacob’s house locations.
