Fansites Have Lunch With Stephenie Meyer

stephenieMeyerHeadshot2The websites Twilight Source, Twilight Series Theories, TwiFans, and Letters to Twilight spent a 4 hour lunch with Stephenie Meyer yesterday. They have tons and tons of information, some of which they can’t share until after the movie comes out so it doesn’t spoil the movie,but they can release some tidbits starting next week.

We talked to Kallie, from Twilight Series Theories, after the meeting. Kallie and her sister, Kassie, run Twilight Series Theories and are two of the coolest Texan ladies you ever want to meet! Kallie has been our broadcast buddy at the New Moon red carpet and she will be our broadcast buddy again for Eclipse.

Kallie said, “It was wonderful, fantastic, it was the chance of a lifetime. Stephenie is so down to earth. All the fans will love the information. We can’t wait to share.”

Kallie and Kassie have plans to put some of the material into their podcast as well as have transcripts.

4. How do you feel about creating a fictional character all men are measured against?

5. Edward’s movie Volvo (hatch back & mom mobile) &is different then the book Volvo, what do you think about this?

6. Based on the clips, Hot Angry Edward seems to be a fan favorite. Why do u think the fans seem to be so excited about this?

7. In the book Eclipse Bella jumps between Edward & Jacob in the tent scene to stop them from fighting. If Bella hadn’t done that, our members want to know who would win – Edward or Jacob?

8. During the motorcycle scene in the parking lot Bella leaves Edward & rides off with Jacob. Our members don’t think book Bella would ever treat Edward like that, what’s your opinion?

9. What made you put your producer hat on for Breaking Dawn & what will you bring to the table?

You heard that. FOUR HOURS. We have amazing photos (We’re pretty sure the photographer got some good ones of us stuffing strawberries in our faces & feeding each other grapes) and H-O-U-R-S of conversations to pour over.”

20 Questions With Billy Burke

With the release of both my debut album and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse falling within nearly a week of one another, I’ve been (needless to say) spread a little thin these days. With so much stuff going on, I feel like I haven’t been as accessible to you the subscribers as I’d like to be. One of the things that’s been so rewarding about the way we’ve decided to release this album is that with all the amazing comments, emails, tweets, and other interactive elements we’ve been employing, it’s created an atmosphere that’s a lot more intimate than these things normally are… and I like it.

In that spirit, I wanna take some time to talk about the things YOU ALL might wanna talk about. Instead of listening to some silly lame ass ask me if I’m team Edward or team Jacob, I think it might be fun to open the floor to some questions from the people that really matter.

Eclipse Premiere Camping Update

We just received this update from Summit:

L.A. Lakers Victory Parade Information

Due to the Laker parade on Figueroa Boulevard on June 21st, some streets around L.A. LIVE will be closed from 4:00am – 12:00pm, so please access L.A. LIVE via Olympic Boulevard. If you require parking, we recommend Lot 1, which opens at 5:30 AM and can be accessed from Cherry Street, or any other adjacent lots. Lot W and Lot C are NOT available for fan parking. Security check points around L.A. LIVE on the 21st are designed to only allow TWILIGHT Fans access to the NOKIA Plaza for camping set up. No parade attendees will be permitted on the NOKIA campus; only Twilight fans will be given access.

Hollywood Reporter Interviews Melissa Rosenberg

melissarosenbergredcThe Hollywood Reporter has one of the best interviews with Melissa Rosenberg that I’ve seen recently.  She talks about her relationship with Stephenie Meyer, her thoughts on Team Jacob and Team Edward, and how they are making Breaking Dawn into two films.  There is a lot of content in this interview and it should be noted that there is a bit of rough language and mature conversation about the intimacy between Bella and Edward.  So please be warned that this is not language you would ever see in the books or hear in the movie.  But overall, a wonderful interview!

What’s the last question that you asked [Stephenie]?
Rosenberg: It would have been about the Volturi.

I love that you know that right away: “I know it was about the Volturi …”
Rosenberg: (laughs) I think it may have been something to do with, in her mind, in “Breaking Dawn,” what were the Volturi up to? We don’t see them until the end. And in her mind, what was driving them? She’s lived with these characters a lot longer than I have. She has a very intricate mythology and very detailed backstories for all these guys. At one point, I had so much in there about their backstories — it’s very interesting what she’s come up with and what I could expand on.

Oh, so you can actually work from stuff that’s not in the books.
Rosenberg: Oh, yeah. And that’s hopefully something that’s going to be fun for the fans. I was able to bring a lot of my own invention. Because the book is not quite two movies. There’s air, there’s room. With the other three it’s been a lot of condensing. And with “Breaking Dawn,” if you’re doing two, there’s a little air. It opens it up. But I need to stay true to the mythology. I mean, I can’t have it turn out that the head Volturi actually wanted to be a tap dancer and did vaudeville for a while.

Summit LogoIn celebration of the lunar eclipse on the evening of June 26th, Summit Entertainment is inviting everyone across the nation to “TWILIGHT Night,” a 12-city event including outdoor screenings of TWILIGHT and THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.  The family and community-oriented events are the perfect chance for those new to the film franchise as well as moviegoers in general to immerse themselves in THE TWILIGHT SAGA phenomenon just in time for the highly anticipated theatrical release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third installment of Summit Entertainment’s TWILIGHT SAGA film franchise, on June 30th.

The excitement of THE TWILIGHT SAGA will be delivered directly to fans in their hometowns and online with “TWILIGHT Night” special events. Moviefone will live-stream events from Philadelphia and San Diego at www.moviefone.com/twilightnight which will include interviews with cast, fan reactions, special guests and sneak peeks of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, allowing those unable to attend to still take part in the celebration. The Cullen Family Talks to Parade

Parade magazine has a comical look at some of the thoughts and encounters the actors playing the Cullen family face.  Peter Facinelli had this to say about Edward dating and falling in love with Bella, who smells so very good to him.

“Edward shouldn’t really play with his food though. Romancing Bella is like falling in love with your mashed potatoes. Our family is living on a really strict bloodless diet, and when you’re on a diet you get cranky sometimes. I’ve always said, ‘Why don’t the Cullens have a petting farm, like a little zoo in the backyard, so if we want like a snack, we just go and grab a squirrel. It would be like having a candy bar or something.”

Personally, I don’t know if mashed potatoes really cuts it, Peter. I’m more in line with Stephenie Meyer who once compared the relationship to her falling in love with her cheesecake!  But we still get the picture.
