HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALPHIE

This is Pel writing. I’m a really bad best friend. I totally forgot what day it was. It’s Lori’s (Alphie’s) birthday.  In short, if Lori didn’t read Twilight in December 2005, have the book “eat her brain”, get inspired to write fanfic, and then get inspired to correspond with Stephenie there would be no Twilight Lexicon.  So a huge thank you and a very happy birthday to Lori, because without her vision and trapdoor memory for book facts, passion for the series, and wanting to share that passion with others, this site wouldn’t be here!

Entertainment Weekly To Feature Trio in Eclipse-Breaking Dawn Interview

Entertainment Weekly has a huge Eclipse issue planned and they have put a tidbit online:

“Entertainment Weekly sat down with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner for a feature interview running in this week’s magazine to discuss the world they inhabit within the Twilight universe — both on screen and off.  The three young stars opened up about coping under the glare of intense media spotlight, how they rely on one another to pull through, what they think of the upcoming final movie, Breaking Dawn, what lies ahead once the franchise wraps, and much more. In this preview, the three stars talk about gearing up for the final chapter of the saga that has changed each of their lives forever.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You guys are about to start shooting the two Breaking Dawn movies back to back. You signed on to this franchise before Breaking Dawn was written. When you read it, were you thinking, How is this going to be turned into a movie?
KRISTEN STEWART: Yeah, definitely. What is Renesmee going to look like? Is it going to be this little teeth-baby running around? It’s going to be weird.
ROBERT PATTINSON: [Laughs] “Little teeth-baby.”
STEWART: Yeah, but I think it’s going to be cool. One of the main objectives of the series is to get Bella to a point where she’s mature enough to make such a hefty decision, and she goes through a lot. In the fourth one, she is going to become a wife. She is going to become a mom. She is going to become an adult and a vampire. To do it so young, it needs to be believable. So I’m really excited about playing that.”

    Volvo Launches Lost In Forks

    Volvo has launched a brand new online contest to tie-in with the new Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie. And this time it takes you to Forks!

    The objective of the game is to reach the Cullen House in the shortest number of forks in the road. Everyone who achieves this will be invited to enter a final round, where they’ll play for the chance to win a Volvo XC60 just like Edward’s in Eclipse.

    The contest opens today at 10:00am pacific time.

    Eclipse Live Streaming Update: 6 Options

    Here’s a rundown of exactly which outlets are livestreaming the Eclipse red carpet! We also want to give a MAJOR SHOUT OUT AND CONGRATS to our friend Kimmy from His Golden Eyes who landed a gig as the co-MTV livestreaming correspondent with Josh Horowitz! Josh has been MTV’s major Twilight correspondent for the last 9 months or so following in the footsteps of former MTV correspondent Larry Carroll.

    For those of you who don’t know Kimmy, she just turned 18 and just graduated high school. She’s been running one of the major Twilight websites since she was 15, very impressive! She and Josh, in our opinion, are totally going to rock it! Don’t expect the typical, boring, barely know the movie questions from Kimmy and Josh.  Kudos to MTV for getting a co-correspondent with a proven track record in the Twilight universe.

Viewers will also be able to take part by posting comments or questions to The Twilight Sage: Eclipse official MySpace page that may then be presented to the celebrities during the broadcast.     About.Com Interviews Ashley Greene for Eclipse

    ashleyjacksoneclipseYou always get a better interview when the person doing the interview knows the material and has interviewed the person before. That’s what makes this interview with Ashley better than most.

    “Now that you’ve finished the third film of the Twilight series, is being a part of this franchise everything you expected it to be?

    Ashley Greene: “I don’t think I expected it to be this. It certainly hasn’t let me down in any way, but I don’t think any of us had any idea of the scale of what it would become and the phenomenon that it’s become. I don’t think you can really conjure that up in your head because when was the last time you have seen something like this happen?”

    It hasn’t – not even with the cast of Harry Potter. Are you hounded all the time?

    Ashley Greene: “Yes, there’s always paparazzi. I live in LA so I’m sure…I think if I lived in New York maybe, or Florida, but LA there are so many paparazzi it’s crazy. It isn’t too awful until it gets close to release dates. That’s when it gets crazy.”

    Has it changed your perspective on acting in general, being part of a franchise like this?

    Ashley Greene: “Not really. I love it just as much as the day I started. There isn’t anything to compare it with because I think in Hollywood, or in this profession, there’s really no plan. You’re never going to walk down the same road as somebody else, so I never had any kind of thought of how it would happen. I definitely know I’m lucky, and I definitely know it doesn’t happen for a lot of people. I’m just enjoying it right now. It’s opened up a ton of doors and I’m jumping at the opportunity and working like a maniac.”
