TV In Brazil Covers the Jonas Brothers and Breaking Dawn

The Breaking Dawn coverage happens around the 2:30 mark. It’s in Portguese, but the pictures give you a good idea.

Middle-aged, pasty, white guys w/ glasses…that’s all I’m sayin’ …:)

Hush Hush Filming in LAPA Section

There will be some type of filming going on in the LAPA section. However, unlike the Marina where things will be in plain view (to some extent) of the public, barriers have been erected. Foforks witnessed the barriers being set up very early this morning for a shoot taking place hours later.

According to the report on Foforks, the residents of the area are having some trouble accessing their homes in that they have to produce ID to prove that they live there. Anyone who has been hired as an extra (earning approximately $70 US dollars accoridng to Fofork’s Twitter)has signed a confidentiality clause with a severe monetary penalty if they disclose details on what is filmed. Similar confidentiality clauses are in place in all areas of production from cameramen to limo drivers.

The most that is known is that the extras have been instructed that they are just to go about their business in the scenes being shot and not to look at Rob and Kristen so that it just looks like a normal background with nothing unusual.

Apparently this “you need to show ID before you get home” thing isn’t going so well.

RPattz news picked up the story involving some arson in protest. Primary source on Globo

We’re trying to source out as accurately as we can. When we mention a primary source it is the originator of the material, use Google translate to get an idea of what is being said. We are using our knowledge of Spanish and limited knowledge of Portuguese to translate right now. Portuguese speakers please help us out if we missattribute, our translator isn’t around tonight!

Brazil Breaking Dawn Filming at a Marina

Originally it was thought that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would be filming in the streets in the LAPA section tonight. Instead they have been seen in the marina district where Rob is behind a wheel of a boat. There is some debate as to if this will be an actual shoot (given what they are wearing) or just a rehearsal for a later scene. Update: they have apparently wrapped Robert and Kristen who are on dinner break. They may shoot more after dinner or leave it to stunt doubles. Also newly appearing photos on Quem (scroll down)clearly indicate that Rob is in make-up so it was not just a rehearsal. According to the latest, they are done with dinner and driving around in the boat. Photos here.

It was verified by the RK_Br Twitter and BlogTwiBrasil that director Bill Condon was on site.

Given Rob’s previous experience w/all things mechanical, we’d just like to wish them all luck.

You can see more photos on Foforks and via Quem (aka Who magazine)

All photos are taken from behind established barriers.

Brazil Filming: The Sunday Update, Lapa Streets Blocked Off and Stephenie Visits With Fans

According to FoForks a series of streets in the LAPA section of Rio are closed today for Breaking Dawn filming. Preparations included changing the names on the street signs and adding in some graffiti. Rumor has it that it’s a scene involving a taxi driving through the streets of Rio. There is also some speculation about a scene involving Jacob and Nessie on the run in Rio (Bella’s vision/plan in Breaking Dawn II). However, in that neither Taylor Lautner nor MacKenzie Foy have been spotted in Brazil, that is seeming less likely.

Filming is scheduled for around 8:00pm local time. It is unknown whether anything will be filmed within sight of crowds standing behind established barriers. For other movies various outdoor scenes have been observable such as the confrontation with the frat boys in Twilight, the Italy scenes in New Moon, and Riley’s transformation in Eclipse.  Other times outdoor sequences have kept the crowds at bay such as footage shot a Jacob’s house during both New Moon and Eclipse. Assuming fans standing behind barriers will be able to see, we will have that footage later.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (or Ashley Greene for that matter) have not ventured outside the hotel. Stephenie Meyer has gone out. Yesterday she had dinner out with fellow producer Wyck Godfrey(I told you guys in Brazil you should be paying more attention to the middle-age, pasty, white guys in glasses! :p If Wyck was their earlier and unobserved, you can bet Bill Condon is there too! ). One fan who was eating at the same restaurant has her account on Foforks.

“Look, me, my mother and my friends (and Rafaella Julia Perez, and her sister) Found Out That Stephenie was going to Porcão (restaurant), and went there. Then, we got in, made friendship to the waiter, and When We Were done eating, Looked at her table and saw her coming to Our table. Then I thought, “Wow, I can not believe it.” Then she cam, Talked to us, I Told her I have a blog and like to write, and She Gave Me the super advice, she told me to never stop writing , told me to write EVERY day, all my dreams, my desires, That Was That She started this way. She was really caring and affectionate, I loved her. Then she signed books and took Our pictures, then left. There Were her with the security, the translator and another security. She looks like a doll and is really caring, and I loved meeting her.”

After the filming tonight, which could go quite late, the cast and crew are going to move to the Isle Esme location which by all reports is a distance from Rio and has to be reached via boat and/or helicopter.

Video: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Pose With Fans at the Airport

The other day we told you about Bruna who was able to get her photo taken with Stephenie, Rob, and Kristen at the airport. There is now video footage of the encounter. You can see how it’s pretty low-key not a swarm of people, and that Rob and Kristen are really relaxed about the whole thing.

Michael Sheen Mentions Breaking Dawn to TV Guide

Michael was awarded the a BAFTA Britannia Awards and he talked to TV Guide on the Red Carpet.

You can get full coverage of Michael’s witty and very off-color speech that pretty much brought the house down in laughter that night over at Hitfix.

When the main BAFTAs come out later this year look for Welcome To the Rileys to score some nominations because director Jake Scott is a Brit. Also look for Kristen Stewart to make a reappearance and to give out the Rising Star Award.

Kellan Lutz YRB Magazine on Playing Emmett and More

Kellan Lutz talked with YRB Magazine about how he started out modeling and then fell into acting. He then goes into his key roles and plans for the future. One thing that Kellan has said so many times is just how much he loves the character of Emmett because it’s as close as he ever gets to playing himself.

“Even though there’s no hesitation when he declares that Emmett Cullen is the closest character he’s played to the real life Kellan Lutz, the actor admits that his most noted role to date almost didn’t happen. Back when he was filming HBO’s Generation Kill in Africa, Lutz had the Twilight script thrown his way for consideration of the lead, Edward Cullen. Not feeling he was in the right mindset at the time to play another depressing role so soon, and being unfamiliar with the book series that preceded the films, there was no problem turning down the auditions. But a persistent agent and a quick look into Emmett’s personality and Lutz felt the connection.

“It’s one of those things where I look at Emmett and I see me. I just see this jovial person, and he can be the protector, and I was with my family growing up. I have a lot of brothers, so you gotta stand up for your family. But, then again, I don’t let a lot of stuff faze me; I don’t like being stressed out in life I don’t think I would have played a great Edward. I think what Rob [Pattinson] does with it is mind-blowing. They need someone like Rob to really give Edward so many layers without doing much. And I love my character to death. I would never want to give up Emmett – it doesn’t matter how many lines, it doesn’t matter if I’m number one on the call sheet – I love him to death, and I’d play him for 10 more movies.”

Lexicon reader Allison recently got a chance to meet Kellan at a surprise screening. Here’s what she wrote in to tell us:

“I just wanted to share an experience I had with people I know would be just as excited as me!  Today I went to a screening of the movie Love, Marriage, Wedding starring Kellan Lutz.  I was beyond excited I was able to go to this because I love Kellan and couldn’t wait to see him in a leading role!  After waiting in line for a while and finally getting seating Kellan and the director came out and surprised everyone! Kellan mentioned he hadn’t seen the movie yet either and hoped we all enjoyed it.  After the movie Kellan very graciously signed autographs, gave hugs, and took pictures with those lucky and sneaky enough to sneak their camera phones in.  He was just as nice as he seems in all his interviews and I am beyond happy I was able to get to see/meet him!”

Zac Posen Gives Non-Answer Regarding the Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress

Earlier this week, Entertainment Tonight posted information suggesting that Zac Posen would be designing the wedding dress worn by Kristen Stewart in Breaking Dawn.  In August 2009, Zac was among a group of designers InStyle selected at random to draw up a version of Bella’s wedding dress(we don’t think any of the designers consulted the books when coming up with their sketches).

Well Hollywood Life caught up with Zac and asked him about the dress, and this is what he said:

“I can’t. I don’t speak about any of my projects and the reality of her(sic) non reality.” Well, he may not have said he’s definitely designing the dress, but he did say he doesn’t speak about any of his projects. Before walking away, he added in, “You know I do love a wedding.”

via TwiMoms

Stephenie Meyer described the dress to a Lexicon fan back when Eclipse had just come out. That fan was making a website based on Bella’s wedding dress. Her pictures from the site indicating the style are seen below.

When she closed the site, she graciously agreed to let us host the material that she had been given. This is how Stephenie described it, “I wish I still had the picture I based the description of Bella’s dress on, but it was lost in my fateful computer crash. Those of you who are going with the old fashioned look are on the right track. Two key words to aid in the search: art nouveau. It’s a simpler style than the frillier Edwardian stuff. Elegant white satin, cut on the bias, with long sleeves (the strapless thing is a very recent development. It wasn’t even popular when I was getting married, only 13 years ago, much less during the modest turn of the century). I search google images for the dress every now and then. I’ll let you know if I find something close one of these days.”
