Collider: Billy Burke From Comic Relief Charlie, to Music to Playing the Bad Guy

Billy Burke is nothing if not a straight shooter. He doesn’t mince words. Another great job from Collider.

One of the things that stands out about these films is the very real relationship between Bella and her father. Do you have a favorite scene between the two of you?

Billy: I remember working on the kitchen scene, where Charlie inadvertently tries to talk to her about sex and protection. That was actually quite fun. We had a good time with that.

Do you think that Charlie is more Team Jacob than Team Edward, when it comes to Bella, or do you think his feelings toward Edward are gradually changing, over the course of the films?

Billy: First of all, Charlie would never play that game. He would never play the team game, nor would I. I have no interest in that. But, he’s obviously got a bent towards Jacob. Jacob is the son of his best friend and he looks at him as a good kid who’s a clean, strong influence. He still doesn’t know that much about Edward, but obviously there’s something weird about him. Charlie would always bend towards Jacob.

Charlie seems to get a little upset, though, when he finds out that Jacob kissed Bella.

Billy: That would be with any kid kissing your daughter. That’s just the way it goes. My daughter is only two years old right now and I don’t look forward to those moments.”

EDITED: Billy also called in to Pennsylvania’s  98.5 this morning. TY to Shannon

Collider: Tinsel Korey Opens Up About About Playing Emily

Christina Radish is now writing for Collider, and this is one of her debut interviews. As usual it doesn’t ask the same old questions.

Once you were cast, were there specific things you wanted to make sure you did with this character?

Tinsel: I just wanted to honor who Emily was. She’s just a strong woman. Through my journey of playing her, I found a lot of strength, and I think that I’ve changed, as a female, in the way that I carry myself. To go through something traumatic, like getting your face scarred, it made me analyze vanity a lot. When you have a little pimple and you’re like, “Oh, my god, there’s an alien on my face!,” you feel like it’s magnified.

Even though she’s dealing with a scar, Emily just carries on with life. It’s not a big deal. While we were shooting the scene, I tried it different ways. I tried it where I was hiding my face, and Chris [Weitz] was like, “Let’s try it where she doesn’t care,” and that’s who she is. She doesn’t care what anybody else thinks. She stands proud in who she is. And, I met this girl who had a huge scar on her leg from a car accident. She was talking about how, after it first happened, she would always wear long pants and cover it up. But, as she started to grow into it, she decided that that’s just her now. It’s just a part of who she is. She wears skirts and she shows it off now.

I just thought there was something so beautiful about that. No matter what happens to you in life, you just roll with it. And then, when we went back to shoot Eclipse, I went to Quileute and taught some acting to the kids, and just got to spend some time in the community, which was great because it gave me an idea of where Emily came from. And, I also went to the Makah Nation ‘cause that’s where Emily is originally from and spent time with them too. Seeing the whole spectrum of who she is as a being was cool. And, I miss it. It’s beautiful. I miss the kids a lot. I miss everything about that whole entire adventure.”

The Official I Have Seen Eclipse and This Is What I Think Post

eclipsebill

Let’s face it. We all know that the critics don’t get Twilight. They think we are all 13, or we are middle-aged and run around in sparkly glitter all day long. But at the end of the day, we like what we like. We know who we are. We don’t need to defend it to every insipid critic who just doesn’t get that it’s our brand of heroin and we weren’t looking for or mistaking it for War and Peace. It’s just something we like, PERIOD.

So, in the words of Producer Wyck Godfrey who we ran into after a screening, “You people count. You people matter. The fans matter. Did you like it?”

Comment away, and obviously there will be spoilers!

Moviefone Interviews Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner at the NYC Preview

Taylor and Kristen are seriously starting to look relaxed at these things. Check out Moviefone’s recap of TwilightNight here.

MTV: Kristen Stewart Amazing Cook Who Knew

At the Los Angeles convention by Creation Entertainment Kristen was asked if she weren’t in acting what would she be doing and she answered “probably something with cooking”. Both Taylor and Rob who were on stage with her alluded to the fact that she was a cook since, I think they were mentioning pies, but I can’t quite remember. Anyway MTV has followed up on the story.

Access Hollywood Interviews Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner at NYC preview

FYI, the reason Kristen looks so hot and sweaty is that it was 94 degrees and like 90% humidity. It’s been like August temperatures in NYC lately!

Getting excited for tonight! If you are in the NYC area Pel is going to be in New York City for the midnight showing of Eclipse along with the crew from CafePress.  She’s going to be at the AMC 34th Street Theater in Manhattan.

Pel will be guest tweeting from the CafePress account, interviewing fans, and there will be some cool giveaways of CafePress products. So if you are in the NYC area, come on down and say hi!

Wyck Godfrey: On Robsten, Nakedness, and the Victoria Situation

Sorry, I couldn’t resit the headline, I’m getting punchy from all the press releases being thrown at me. Anyway, it’s Time magazine talking to producer Wyck Godfrey who has literally been with this project from the very beginning!

“While some producers dream about winning big on one certified box office bonanza, producer Wyck Godfrey has hit the jackpot with two: a little movie called Twilight and its follow-up New Moon. More than $1 billion in box office totals later, Godfrey is back with the third installment of the vampire love saga, Eclipse, which opens on Wednesday. The hoopla will continue through the final book in the Stephenie Meyer series, Breaking Dawn, which has been split into two movies, the first scheduled for November 2011. Godfrey talked to TIME about shirtless werewolves and the real-world effects of vampire-human relationships.

We interviewed Wyck on the Eclipse carpet in case you missed it.
