Official Twilight Convention Arlington, VA – Day One

Pel and Be My Escape will be tweeting all day today from the Official Twilight COnvention in Arlington, VA run by Creation Entertainment. Oprah tapes live in Chicago and then replays throughout the day. Me personally, I don’t get to see Oprah until 4:00 pm today in Nashville. However, one fan tweeting from the account named ChicagoJen has been tweeting from the Oprah show and it all sounds very exciting! She has mentioned that Dakota was ill and is skyping in, that there were clips of Bella and Edward in the meadow, and that May 13th will be Oprah’s all Eclipse episode with Dakota, Taylor, Kristen and Rob. MTV: What Can We Expect on Oprah

The folks over at MTV have asked what I think all fans are asking: What can we expect to see on Oprah today? Obviously, we will see the final trailer for Eclipse. Hopefully that trailer will give us more of a glimpse of the action and suspense of the film like the New Moon trailer did as well as more of the actual romance. And because Nikki Reed, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Julia Jones will be on the live chat feed after the trailer debuts on the main Twilight internet channels, MTV speculates that they may show up on Oprah as well. They also assume that some other cast members might appear, which we can only assume means Rob, Taylor, or Kristen. Read the whole story over at MTV News. It’s been pointed out by Molly G. that the Twilight twitter account said Dakota Fanning will be on Oprah to debut the trailer.

Face Punch Contest Reminder

This is just a quick reminder that there is still time to enter our Face Punch trailer contest to win autographed prizes. We will be giving away a Stephenie Meyer autograph to one of the winners as well as items autographed by multiple members of the cast that have appeared at Creation Entertainment events this year. The contest is simple: Create a trailer for the fictional movie “Face Punch” as mentioned in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Here are the rules.
1. The video must be between one minute and two and a half minutes in length. Any video longer than two minutes and thirty seconds will be disqualified.
2. The video should resemble traditional trailers of various scenes and not be one long, continuous scene.
3. The video can use dialogue and references from The Twilight Saga: New Moon but it cannot be the actual recorded sound from the film.
4. The video must be posted on YouTube on your own channel. We will not host your video for you.
5. You must send us a link to your YouTube video to [email protected].
6. You must send us your video information by May 5, 2010. Winners will be announced May 7, 2010.
