OK Magazine caught up with Ashley Greene. Ashley summed up the Vancouver filming experience and supported her castmates.

OK!: How do you spend time off the set?

Paramore Talks Twilight & More On EW

EW talked with Paramore lead singer, Hayley Williams about how the group got on the soundtrack, the new demographics for teh band’s music, and their future plans.

EW: Oh, really? I thought from what I’ve read that [Twilight author] Stephanie Meyer sought you guys out and wanted you specifically to be on the soundtrack. But it’s more like you auditioned?
HW: Well I read the books, and when they were working on the soundtrack, I was finishing up the third book, Eclipse, and I was really into it. I thought this was a great art, a really good story, and really relatable, but I’m always into vampires and all that. So we were touring and writing and jamming out new things every day, and I was like, if they’re putting that soundtrack together this could be great, let’s figure out if we could be a part of it. So yeah, we kinda fought for it. And if you look at the rest of the album, it’s Muse and Iron and Wine and Linkin Park, which really isn’t our demographic.”

Tinsel Korey Film Opens

Tinsel Korey who is slated to portray Emily Young in New Moon has an indie film opening this weekend in limited release. The film is getting good reviews. According to Straight.com:

“Using a fragmented approach that plays documentary-style interviews off dramatic scenes, Bessai focuses on three different relationships. Micki (Babz Chula) is a celebrity romance novelist who has always overshadowed her sullen daughter Rebecca (Camille Sullivan). Brenda (Gabrielle Rose) is an aging woman who’s lost her identity to being a homemaker, which only brings her the disdain of her driven daughter Kate (Tiffany Lyndall-Knight). And Celine (Tantoo Cardinal) is a Métis woman who’s lost her own child to the streets, but when she’s hired to paint a house, she finds a new, maternal role with the upscale young Cynthia (Tinsel Korey).”

Kelly Clarkson On New Moon Soundtrack?

So, we’ve been scoping this one out all day. Early this morning DJ Elvis Duran claimed that a leaked version of a song called “Did You?” by Kelly Clarkson was slated to be on the New Moon soundtrack.  Various audio files of the rough-cut of the unreleased track are going around the Internet.

We thought it was a little early for final decisions on soundtrack artists to be made especially since folks like fellow AI alum Justin Guarini were just making their pitches public. Now it looks like Mark Malkin over at E! ran down the rumor.

“However, a rep for movie studio Summit Entertainment is singing a different tune…There are no plans to use the song, according to the rep…A source tells me that director Chris Weitz has made no decisions regarding the music for the movie.”

Kindle Features The Host & Twilight

Amazon.com has a new Kindle promo video out and it features The Twilight Saga and The Host as part of the demonstration.

It all brings up an interesting point. Do you think that traditional hardback and paperback books will be gone within the next decade?

There’s been a lot of speculation on the Internet how cash strapped publishers may start pushing their titles towards this technology. They’ll never have to worry about over or under supplying a book again.

On the other hand, there are people who don’t like to do extensive reading on a screen. They often talk about page glare or missing the feeling of holding a book.

So what do you think? Are Kindle and similar products going to eliminate books as we know them today entirely? TY to Felipe for the head’s up.

Robert Pattison Parallels Between Romances

Robert Pattinson sat down with Reuters to talk about his role in Little Ashes and how intense relationships are at teh heart of both films.

Entertainment Press Vancouver Bound

Several Entertainment sites have now released the information that they are heading to Vancouver to visit the New Moon set. They are asking for fan input for questions.

First up Rotten Tomatoes:

“I’m delighted to share the news that Rotten Tomatoes is heading north this week… to the Vancouver set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, to observe filming and interview cast members! While we won’t be at liberty to divulge too much of our visit this week, chime in and tell us what you want to know most from the set of New Moon and we’ll do our best to oblige.”

Next Up Hit Fix:

“you can follow my journey to some extent over the next few days on Twitter.  Or, why not participate?  This writer has purposely avoided reading any of the novels to come at the series from a strictly cinematic perspective (a decision that has worked well for the “Harry Potter” franchise).  However, I’d love to know what you, the fans, would like to find out about the movie. What are you most curious about?  What would you ask Chris Weitz if you could?  Dakota Fanning? Or, a member of the Wolfpack?”
