Post Removal
Yesterday, an item was posted by one of our guest bloggers. The admin team was unaware of its content because they were all traveling. Upon being made aware of a controversy via a phone call, we contacted our tech person who then pulled the video. The admin team, due to travel issues, wasn’t able to see the post for almost 6 hours after its initial post.
Upon review of its content we came to the following conclusion: 1) We believe that no malice was intended by the post 2) Taste is a subjective matter, and while satire does involve a certain measure of irreverence, and dark humor isn’t everyone’s cup of tea; making fun of the recently departed isn’t something the admin team is comfortable with
To that end we wish to let our readers know that we stand by our decision to pull the item. Additionally, we wish to sincerely apologize to those who read it and were offended.

Forks Final Day
It’s our last day in Forks. We’ll be doing some last minute tweets before the road trip back to Seattle.
Interview With A Leah Hopeful & Contest
This just in from Twilight Fantrips, the group running the Vampire Baseball event that supports the Make A Wish Foundation:
“Lauren (Twilight Facebook) and Andrew (Twilight Source) just finished recording an awesome podcast. The public download link is : http://media.libsyn.com/media/twilightsource/tftvampire.mp3
The podcast focused on two elements :
1/Exclusive interview with Q’Orianka Kilcher who is auditioning for the role of Leah in Eclipse. Q’Orianka rose to fame at 15 years old when she starred in the role of Pocahontas in The New World, released in 2005. A huge fan of the Twilight Saga, Q’Orianka is very passionate about the role of Leah. In the interview she gives a very personal perspective on the inside process of auditioning for a role in the wildly popular series.
2/Vampire Baseball 24-hour contest with prizes – as we head into the last week before the Vampire Baseball event with Twilight and New Moon stars on July 4th, a contest has been created to encourage fans to join in the fun and raise more donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.
The contest begins as soon as the podcast is posted and ends at 8:00pm EST on Sunday, June 28.
Andrew and Lauren describe the great prizes which are available, how to enter the contest and more exciting news about the event. They also announce for the first time the opportunity for fans to have a private coffee with one of their favorite stars the morning of the July 4th event. Only 6 “coffees” are available with a maximum of 15 fans per meeting. Fans will want to jump on these tickets as they won’t last long!
Forks Day 4
It’s day four. On the slate today is a speech by Kaleb Nation and Texas style barbecue. Larry Carrol of MTV will be at the prom tonight. And we’ll be tweeting it all.

Site Update New Chapter Summaries
We have a few more chapters for you this morning coming all the way from Forks! Una supplied both chapters for us in spite of fighting off morning sickness, so we give her many thanks.
First is Chapter 21: First Hunt. Pop over to the message boards to talk about Bella’s ability to resist human blood.
Next is Chapter 22: Promised. Visit the message boards to discuss the families reaction to Bella and Bella’s reaction to the imprinting.
Forks Day 3
Alphie and Pel are in Forks High School about to give the first round of their presentations. We’ll be Tweeting our experience all day long. We just had breakfast in the real Forks High School cafeteria and we met The Bella Cullen Project. Tonight we are headed to a bonfire on First Beach in LaPush.
Michael Welch in Interview Magazine
Mike Welch sat down with Interview Magazine and chatted about his current work and New Moon:
LM: What about the paparazzi? Did you guys have to deal with that a lot?
MW: [LAUGHS] It’s funny you ask; we did, actually. It was my first experience with the paparazzi. They even got us when we were coming off the plane. I learned that they can just take a situation and put it into any context. There was one point when Taylor was talking to some people and the paparazzi took a picture and then I saw it online with a caption underneath that was like, “Taylor Lautner takes the time to talk to his fans, while Michael Welch is a jerk and just sits in his trailer …” It was just so weird. It’s a fascinating process to be a part of something this big, and this popular, ‘cause it’s sort of a double-edged sword. But I mean, I certainly have nothing to complain about; I’m very grateful to be involved.
LM: What’s happening with your character this time around?
MW: Well, you know, Mike Newton doesn’t go through too much of a journey, I’ll be honest. He sort of has his role to play in Bella’s life. In the movie it’s pretty much all about Bella, and how he relates with her, and him just being hopelessly in love—the character that is just really empathetic, and a little bit tragic in a lot of ways.
Pel Interviews Kaleb Nation
During Book Expo America, Pel had the chance to interview Kaleb Nation (AKA The Twilight Guy) for Borders Media. As many of you know, Kaleb is also an author with his debut novel coming out on September 9, 2009. The book is called Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse.
Kaleb’s answer were informative and funny. (Pel wants to crawl under a rock for possibly having the worst bad hair day in her life. She has also made a vow to remove the word “awesome” from her vocabulary. Note to self: there are other exclamations than awesome.)
