Metric Shoots Eclipse Video on Location

metricAccording to the Vancouver Sun:

“Following their two recent concerts at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park, Canadian indie rock band Metric was in North Vancouver on Tuesday, shooting the music video for the theme song for Eclipse, the third instalment [sic]in the Twilight movie series.

The video for Metric’s Eclipse (All Yours) is being shot by director Brantley Gutierrez, 28, a longtime friend of the band who has also worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Arcade Fire and Band of Horses.

The video will depict singer Emily Haines writing the lyrics to the song inside a log cabin in the woods, a reference to both the invitation sent Metric’s way by score composer Howard Shore and to the films’ grey, wet and gloomy locales.”

MTV: Robert Pattinson, Life Without Music?

Somehow we think Rob will never have to worry about being music free.

Live Streaming of Eclipse: Two Options

Unlike last year when the only outlet live streaming the Eclipse Red Carpet was MySpace with the unforgettable Anya Marina (We’ll leave the description at that, pro or con she was unforgettable.), this year there are two options for live streaming.

Option 1:

Myspace
Host: Quddus, Shira Lazar and Jordyn Taylor

Info: MySpace will host a live stream of Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse red carpet arrivals at the premiere on Thursday, June 24th at www.myspace.com/twilight. Moviegoers across the globe will be able to experience the red carpet first-hand and in real-time. Viewers will also be able to take part by posting comments or questions to The Twilight Sage: Eclipse official MySpace page that may then be presented to the celebrities during the broadcast. The red carpet arrivals will stream live from the Los Angeles Film Festival beginning at 5:30 PM PT.

WHERE: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Official MySpace page
DATE: Thursday, June 24
TIME: 5:30 PM PT

Option 2:

MTV
Host:
Josh Horowitz

Info: Hollywood Crush and MTV.com will be providing an “Eclipse” premiere LIVE STREAM from the red carpet at the Nokia Theater on that hotly anticipated Thursday night starting at 6:30p.m. PST (June 24 is only nine days away!). With MTV New’s Josh Horowitz — and an accompanying camera crew — on a special platform interviewing all the famous faces as they go by, you’ll be able to watch all the action and fashion as it happens. It doesn’t get much better than this … uh unless of course we figure out a way to make our telecast 3-D. Wishful thinking!

The Tonight Show: Jay Leno Interviews Robert Pattinson About Eclipse

Now for those of you who remember Twilight history, you might recall that Emma Roberts (who was also on Leno last night) was once suggested by Stephenie Meyer as a possible Bella back in the days before there was a movie. The fan reaction was visceral to say the least prompting Stephenie to write on her then active MySpace; “I didn’t realize that Emma Roberts had personally run over so many people’s dogs.” Now for those of you who are really good at trivia, do you remember what movie Stephenie had just seen Emma in that sparked the fan outcry?

Also, Emma is a huge Twilight fan. She obsessively went through all the books while taping the movie Valentines Day. There are multiple pictures of her devouring the books on her filming breaks. It was even mentioned on the George Lopez show a few months back, but sadly no one recorded the footage.
