Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Surprise Fans in Theater

From appearances that ranged from Hawaii to Toronto and Minneapolis to Jacksonville this was the last cast appearance this weekend. It was also the only one Robert Pattinson could make because of his tight Water For Elephants shooting schedule.

UK Telegraph: Interviews Bryce Dallas Howard

The UK’s Telegraph has a really cute interview with Bryce Dallas Howard. Her dad may be a famous directors, but she didn’t grow up spoiled.

“Waiting for Bryce Dallas Howard at an Italian café in West Hollywood, I think back to a chance meeting, 14 years ago.

The actress happened to be sitting across the aisle from me and my then two-year-old daughter on what seemed like an interminable, turbulent flight from Los Angeles to New York.

The red-headed 15-year-old was travelling with her three younger siblings and politely offered to entertain my toddler.

I soon discovered that this engaging teenager was the daughter of the Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, who is known for decades of formidable hits – A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, The Da Vinci Code, Frost/Nixon – but who is probably best remembered as the freckled Richie Cunningham from Happy Days.

The filmmaker and his wife, Cheryl, were at the front of the plane in first class, while the children – like my daughter and I – were in economy.

‘They would never throw the kids in first class. We knew we were lucky just to be on a plane,’ says Howard laughing, when we discuss the episode later.”

Win a Signed Copy of Billy Burke’s Removed CD

CD Baby, Billy Burke’s CD distributor, contacted us about a giveaway that they are doing. They wrote to say:

“Nine randomly selected commenters will win an autographed copy of Billy Burke’s new CD “Removed”. Just tell us why you love Billy and maybe you’ll win!

If you didn’t already know, he plays Bella’s dad in the Twilight movies, and he makes great music too, in the vein of Bruce Springsteen with a bit of Tom Waits. It’s good swampy pop/rock.

If you’re not selected as a winner, you can always buy the CD or download on CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/billyburke

We’ll be running this giveaway until Wednesday July 7, so tell everyone you know!”

Eclipse: To IMAX or Not To IMAX That is the Question

With apologies to The Bard, is Eclipse in IMAX the way to go? One reviewer from ABC gives the IMAX experience a thumbs down talking about how it magnifies flaws not seen on the smaller screen, and in that regard, ruins a bit of what could be called “movie magic” making it harder to suspend disbelief.

” I couldn’t help but notice that IMAX is very unforgiving. So much of “Eclipse” is close-up shots, meaning that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson , Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast had their faces magnified to the point where they were two stories tall. And, uh, it didn’t do such great things for them.

Kristen’s hair was so obviously a wig and it was driving me nuts. Really, would it be so hard to give that thing a part? Then it wouldn’t be so glaring. Ditto for Ashley Greene—can’t they use her real, gorgeous hair rather than that hacked-up wig? Homegirl looks like she cuts her hair herself with pinking shears.

Speaking of the Cullen clan, Edward and crew didn’t look pale; they looked like they had pan makeup congregating in the corners of their mouths. And they didn’t look like their eyes were crazy colors; you could actually see their contact lens lines.”

The admin team had both experiences and we are mixed in our reactions about the IMAX experience.  If you saw it in IMAX, did the story work in that format, why or why not? Also are you a regular IMAX viewer if you saw it in that format?

Jennifer Love Hewitt: Huge Twilight Fan at Eclipse Premiere

Alas Jen claims to be dissed by Robert Pattinson. Given that there are a ton of new potential roles in Breaking Dawn, that Bill Condon and Jen have worked together before, and that Jen has showed up at the last two Twilight premieres, we’re wondering what role she might potentially be able to play.
