Taylor Lautner Interview on Box Office

Taylor is his usual down-to-earth and informative self:

If the last two books in the series hadn’t already been written, what do you think Jacob should do to win over Bella?

I don’t think he would have changed anything, and I don’t think he should change anything. Jacob and Edward are extremely different guys and it’s just whether you want one guy or another. Jacob is himself, and he has a relationship with Bella that Edward doesn’t. And Edward has a relationship with Bella that Jacob doesn’t. So I wouldn’t change a thing.

As an actor, how do you make the audience root for Jacob and get invested in his feelings when the outcome of the love triangle is already known?

Well, you try and take things one step at a time. When I’m filming New Moon, I’m not thinking about Eclipse. When I’m filming Eclipse, I’m not thinking about Breaking Dawn. We just have to focus on the movie that we’re doing. ”

Ashley Greene Saturday Night Magazine Covergirl

Ashley Greene has made the cover of Saturday Night Magazine’s October issue. There are easily half a dozen photos that are simply stunning.

“Do you ever worry about being always thought of as Alice Cullen when you go off to make your other film projects? What kind of other projects are you hoping to do?
Maybe Kristen and Rob will kind of have a little bit more of a shadow behind them that always links them to Twilight, but Alice is a vampire, yes, but she has this human heart. She’s really lovable and really likable, sort of like the best friend, and so I think that might help me in the other films. I think the fans already love me and love Alice. I think it’s a positive. I don’t think I’m going to be pigeonholed. If I always played the hot, stupid chick, then I might be pigeonholed as that. I get to kind of choose my films, which hopefully I will choose wisely and build off of that versus pissing the fans off. I want to do an action film just because there’s already a bit of action in Twilight, and when I did it I absolutely took to it and loved it.”

Stephenie Meyer On The Host Being Optioned For Film

Stephenie Meyer just updated her website to say,

“I’m so excited to be working with Nick Weschler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They’ve all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we’re in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you’ve never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It’s such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I’m having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn’t take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I’m looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine.

So, very exciting. Yay Host!

XO
Steph”

Boo Boo took out some time to chat with RadarOnline about playing Seth.

Boo Boo, who just got his hair cut, has been really gracious to pose with fans when he meets them.

The Host Being Developed For Film

According to Variety, Producers Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz have used their own money to acquire screen rights to The Host and Andrew Niccol will write the script and direct. There is no timeline currently associated with the project that has been revealed at this time.

According to Variety, “The trio wanted to make a science fiction film and fixed on The Host…The producers continued lobbying the author and her reps at UTA and The Writers House with a significant offer, a strong vision for the project, and a collaborative spirit. Meyer eventually said yes.

In fact, Niccol first came under consideration after Wechsler and the Schwartz’ asked Meyer her favorite science fiction films, and Gattaca and The Truman Show were in her top five. Niccol wrote and directed Gattaca and scripted the Peter Weir-directed The Truman Show. ”

According to Nick Wechsler, “We wanted Stephenie to be involved in the adaptation, and have her endorse and be part of the creative decisions, Twilight has proven she more more [sic]about what works than most.”

Let the speculation begin! Who would you want to be Ian, Jared, Wanda and Melanie?

What’s It Like to Make It to the New Moon Soundtrack?

Two of the relatively unknown bands, unless you’re an indie music person, have told both EW and MTV what it’s like to be on the New Moon soundtrack.

According to EW, some clean underwear may be needed :):

““Monsters” is one of several leftover songs that Schiltz recorded under the Hurricane Bells moniker when they didn’t work for his main band, Longwave. “It’s a little more rocky, up-tempo, than the stuff that’s on the Hurricane Bells MySpace page — it’s got some fuzzed-out guitar,” he says. Schiltz’s manager quietly got the tune placed on the New Moon soundtrack, keeping him in the dark until approximately last week. “I got an email from the director [Chris Weitz] saying that he wanted to use it as maybe the first song in the film, and I started kinda s—ing my pants!”

MTV has St. Vincent A.K.A. Annie Clark (seen in the photo via Wire images) on the record:

“We recorded the song for the joy of it, and then it looked like the ‘Twilight’ people were interested in using the song for the movie,” she explained. “So it pretty naturally happened.”

Burger King Gives Details on New Moon Products

Ever since the Burger King street team was handing out Team Edward and Team Jacob crowns at Comic Con (photo via Robert Pattinson.com), people have been speculating what exactly would the franchise be doing. Frankly, we had visions of mothers wrenching toy Volvo’s from kids meals out of their children’s hands, teens pretending to order a kids meal for an invisible young sibling. Well it turns out the deal is a little different. According to Burger King:

“For fans hungry for another bite of the “Twilight” film franchise, Burger King Corp. is revealing a few details of what will be available in participating BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide this November as part of its multi-faceted “New Moon” promotion. A special gift of holiday value, which guests will receive free (while supplies last) with the purchase of a BK BURGER SHOTS® six pack value meal, will be packed full with “New Moon” merchandise offers, retail coupons and collectible cards. Additionally, a series of limited-edition “New Moon”-themed BK® Crown Cards featuring stars from the film are available for purchase at BURGER KING® restaurants and online at www.bkcrowncard.com. These exclusive items are just a glimpse of what will be offered in BURGER KING® restaurants and are sure to be a hit with “Twilight” fans looking for hot gifts this holiday season. More information will be revealed in early November when the promotion launches in BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide.

“Curiosity among fans has continued since our exclusive ‘New Moon’-themed BK® Crowns hit the Comic-Con scene in San Diego in late July,” said Cindy Syracuse, senior director, cultural marketing, Burger King Corp. “While full promotional details are still to come, we can confirm that beginning Nov. 16, BURGER KING® restaurants will offer guests access to a number of limited-edition, movie-themed offers and merchandise.”
