Angela Sarafyan Poses for Troix Magazine

Angela Sarafyan is the latest Twilight star to pose for Troix magazine. They have previously had Christian Serratos and Jackson Rathbone. In fact Jackson Rathbone was on the cover of their inaugural issue.

In keeping with what seems to be the signature Troix style, the shoot is very stylized in a period glam setting. It looks like they were aiming for a Great Gatsby type of thing featuring a late 1920’s – early 1930’s sultry vamp (no pun intended).

You can see another photo on their Troix Facebook page. The issue comes out in April.

Oscar Twilight Musical Spoof

The consensus on Twitter was that it wasn’t that great, or at least not the mind-blowing and must watch item that was described earlier in the week. What’s your take?

Overheard on the OSCAR Red Carpet

MTV graciously allowed us to embed their Red carpet footage. We caught some Twilight related moments on MTV and other live feeds:

  • Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine talked about liking soundtrack work. She was asked if she’d be interested in doing the Breaking Dawn soundtracks and she ducked the question saying that she hadn’t been asked yet. It’s a little early to talk soundtrack yet and she may want to, but not want to jinx it by saying yes.
  • Amy Adams talked about liking working with Kristen Stewart in On the Road which will be released later in 2011.
  • Ryan Seacrest, on his live feed, claimed to be Team Wolfpack
  • Ryan Seacrest also confirmed with James Franco that there will be a Twilight musical number as one of his inbetween awards skits that he and Anne Hathaway have planned. Who knows maybe Robert Pattinson will jump out of a giant cake or something 🙂
  • Reese Witherspoon said to ABC that she was Team Edward.

TY again to MTV for letting us access their live feed.

Red Carpet: MTV OSCAR FEED

Come back later today around 6:00 and we will have the MTV red carpet OSCAR feed embedded here. MTV and MTV’s Hollywood Crush have been asking for questions for the stars on Twitter.

We asked them to ask James Franco about his rumored Twilight spoof musical production up at Yale. We’re also curious if he and co-host Anne Hathaway will confirm that they are doing a Twilight spoof during the show.

No Twilight actors are presenters, but some are in Los Angeles this weekend. You never know who ends up walking the carpet, or as someone’s date.

Catherine Hardwicke Reflects Back on Twilight Experience in Newsweek Interview

catherinehardwickeCatherine Hardwicke is currently doing press for her first movie since Twilight called Little Red Riding Hood. The movie also co-stars Billy Burke and like Twilight it was shot in the Pacific Northwest. Here’s what Catherine had to say on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s chemistry:

“For Twilight, Hardwicke had trouble finding an actor otherworldly enough to play vampire Edward Cullen. Then she got a call about a guy in London. “I looked at a couple pictures and was like, ‘I’m not sure,’?” Hardwicke says. “He had been fired from his last job, he was unemployed, he was in debt.” Pattinson flew to Los Angeles on his own dime to read with Stewart. “I have footage of their first meeting at my dining-room table,” Hardwicke says. “Kristen was like, ‘It’s got to be Rob!’ She felt connected to him from the first moment. That electricity, or love at first sight, or whatever it is.” Hardwicke gave him the part, but he had to make a promise. “You’ve got to realize that Kristen is 17 years old,” she told him. “She’s underage. You’ve got to focus, dude, or you’re going to be arrested. I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.”

Despite Twilight’s $400 million global success, Hardwicke left the franchise when it came to the sequel. She said it was her decision, despite a blog report that she was fired. “I couldn’t even be fired, that’s what’s so funny,” she says. “In my contract, I had the first right of refusal.” She turned down the second film, she says, because the studio wanted to rush it out. “I do not regret it at all, thank the Lord,” she says. “The truth is I liked the first book the best.”

Eclipse Remains Unscathed at This Year’s Razzie Awards

Eclipse or an Eclipse actor was nominated in practically every Razzie category this year. Stunningly, it remained unscathed as Razzie Awards were given mostly to actors associated with the films Sex and the City 2 and The Last Airbender. Unfortunately Jackson Rathbone did get a Razzie, but it was due to his role in The Last Airbender, not Eclipse. Having actually watched The Last Airbender, we do understand the nomination, however we had thought that co-star Dev Patel was more likely to win it than Jackson. In any case, knowing Jackson’s sense of humor and creativity, how long can it be until there is a 100 Monkeys song making fun of the Razzies.

You can see the full list of “winners” here.

Billy Bush Interviews Peter Facinelli The 9 Minute Extended Version

Access Hollywood had about a 2 minute clip of this the other day. Here is all nine minutes!

Jackson Rathbone Speaks Out at the Day 2 Care Pre-Oscar Party

It looks like they have dyed Jackson’s hair blonde. We wonder if this means no wig for Jackson in Breaking Dawn?
